  1.  There aren’t any restrictive covenants in football. Newcastle will pay their compensation and all will be forgotten about, except by Sheffield Wednesday fans who will become unreasonably salty about their mediocre former manager. He will now become a “Judas” to football fans with absolutely no sense of life balance.

Hardly salty about it I mean after how things have turned out its good riddance to him and other 2 Steve’s. Bruce and his 2 chums walked into training on Monday morning refusing to take training and then resigned from there positions before walking out. The club then had to phone our youth managers in so that they could assist Bullen in training because it should of been business as normal until everything was sorted.

For Bruce to be appointed as manager while compensation hadn’t been sorted is totally wrong and Chansiri probably hasn’t even accepted them 3s resignation until the whole money situation was all sorted out. I hope Chansiri takes MA to the cleaners with this is one as him and Bruce have shown SWFC no respect and the whole situation has been an absolute joke from the start. The only thing I am critical about with Chansiri is apparently he gave Bruce permission to speak to Newcastle without the compensation being agreed which if true is an error by himself.

Edit: Been out all day and hadn’t realised we released a club statement. So from reading that the word ‘former’ is used for the staff so I would say Chansiri probably has accepted the resignation. I’d assume the issue is with the other 2 Steve’s and that no compensation has been paid/agreed for there contracts as £4 million was accepted for SB contract. Looks like MA has refused to give more money and see’s the £4 million enough for all 3.

By the time this has been sorted out SB will have been sacked by NUFC, counted his millions and buggered off to Barbados for a 6 month holiday

  2. Am I the only who can't undersnad why a shit manager like Steve Bruce keeps getting gig after gig?
He's like Gary Megson mark 2

We appointed him because he was the ideal man to take SWFC to the premier league and has a good record on doing so.

Newcastle only want him because the other 5/6 names above Bruce in the list have all rejected Mike Ashley. Also because MA thought it would be a very cheap option and he also see’s Bruce as a yes man therefor will become his puppet.
  3. Really can't see Bruce going. Don't know how ambitious your chairman is, but I'd imagine the club have PL aspirations, and Steve Bruce is a good man to deliver that. Would imagine Chansiri will do all in his power to keep Bruce, and if he sells the dream in the right way, Bruce won't want to ditch it for Newcastle. Being honest, I don't think it would even take pitch of the year to show Ashley up in the ambition stakes.

Sky and a lot of the ITK said that it was basically a done deal yesterday and that the two clubs were just sorting out the £1 million in comp. But as I said Chansiri is a very stubborn chairmen and asks over the odds for stuff (ie wanting £15 million for Forestieri) and doesn’t back down from it so that means whatever he’s demanded Mike Ashley to pay (very much doubt its £1 million) he’ll need to pay the whole lot and not a penny less. And we all know that MA doesn’t put his hands in his pockets and paying loads in compensation is something that he wouldn’t do and wouldn’t surprise me if he backs away from it. Newcastle is a poisonous job while MA is there and he is going for the ‘cheap’ option in Steve Bruce but it could massively back fire at him.

Chansiri wanted PL football within 3 years of him taking over as chairmen however that’s failed but we have a manager that knows how to get clubs out of the championship and into the PL and the chairmen knows that and that’s why he’s digging his heels.
  4. If MA wants Brucie as next Newcastle manager he better stump up the 3-5 million in comp that our chairmen is demanding. I’d assume that Ashley thought that this was going to be a lot easier than what it’s turned out to be but our chairmen is a very stubborn person and doesn’t back down for no one. Steve Bruce has took training this morning and Chansiri has banned Sky Sports from our training ground.

  5. If the money's around the same then I reckon a mid table championship team is probably the best case scenario from our perspective. I've no idea about Sheffield Wednesday's outgoing transfers over the last few years, but you'd assume if Turnbull carries on progressing like this he's bound to end up in the Premiership eventually. More chance of getting a decent sell on fee if he's getting regular football in the Championship rather than making the leap to Southampton etc directly.

It was Steve Bruce that took John McGinn to Aston Villa (even though he got sacked) he’s done really well this season in a Villa shirt under Dean Smith so hopefully he see’s McGinn as an example that you can make the step up from SPFL to the championship. Bruce knows a good player when he see’s one so if true he’d be a very good addition to not only the squad but to the starting 11. We’ve got rid of a lot of dead wood at the club that was on a high wages so wages would not be an issue it’s just the 3 million that maybe the issue with us near the FFP but if he gets offered a 4/5 year deal then I don’t see 3 million being an issue either hopefully.
  6. 4-0 Mexico at HT. Mexico took foot off the gas a little once they went 1 up and it was more like a training session for them but last 15 minutes of the half they’ve been clinical. Last time these 2 met was in the Gold cup back in 2015 with Mexico winning 6-0 after being 4 up at HT. If Mexico can be bothered this second half there will be loads more goals.

  7. If Israel can play in Europe qualifying and Australia can be in Eurovision, maybe Scotland can move to CONCACAF. Might only be half an hour in, but this is tailor made for us. Shite football, shite crowd but plenty of hacking. Post BREXIT Scotland might have a positive side [emoji6]

Can’t even beat Kazakhstan and struggle to beat San Marino and Cyprus. We won’t have a chance against Puerto Rico, BVI, USVI, Barbados, Saint Lucia etc etc[emoji23][emoji23]
  8. Kicks off tonight with Canada Vs Martinique at 0030 followed by Mexico vs Cuba at 0300. With the times of kick off being at daft o’clock in the morning I’ll only get to watch games on my days off and when I myself finish work at daft o’clock so this week coming I should get to watch most as I’m on lates
