King appears to be giving Taylor a bit of a beasting at the start of this match 4-0 early on.

Gary Anderson makes it through to the final with a 10-7 win over Steve Farmer, now awaits the winner of Mervyn King & Phil Taylor.

So much for me thinking Newton would make a decent game of it against Taylor, 5-0 down already! 9-3 final score, anyone watching it live, was it Taylor playing to his usual form or did Newton play the hype rather than the opponent?

King is the first man through to the semi's,beating Terry Jenkins 9-7 seems as though it was a rapid game considering it went to 16 legs.

Wes Newton is really coming onto his game recently, this could be a close one and i wouldn't be surprised to see Newton take it. For me it should be a King Newton Anderson Farmer semi-final line up. Pity it's not televised other than on PPV.

Why were Gary Anderson & Robert Thornton not taking part in this weekends players championships events?

Just looking on the planet darts website it has a list of the players fined over recent misdemenours. The obvious one for Colin Lloyd for punching the board £1K fine. But then a couple of curious ones, he was also fined £1K for throwing his darts to the floor "in a reckless manner" at the end of the match Paul Nicholson was also fined £1K for doing the same, that might be fair enough, but did Gary Anderson not throw his remaining darts to the floor after every match he won at the Worlds? I also see that young Aaron Monk was been fined £350, but he had a 3 month suspended ban, for bringing the game into disrepute, they don't say what the 3 offences are but it must have been a bit more serious to warrant a suspended ban. He needs to screw the nut if he is going to make himself a success in the game, he definately has the talent, too good to throw it away by being a bit of a lad surely. Possibly it's just the authorities giving him a boot up the arse to keep him on the straight and narrow, but one more slip within the next six months and the ban will kick in.

So what are the total number of places up for grabs in the PDC now that they have introduced this system?

Delighted to see the big man get through to the PDC events, hopefully now that he has been given a year off from his work he will really put the effort in and pay all his backers back with some decent performances. I agree with the others who say he needs to try to do something about his fitness if he wants to compete at the highest level on the stages, the heat will kill him up there. Another thing i would love to see is if he gets to one of the televised competitions and wins a match, Smiling Dave Clark would not have a fucking clue what he was talking about with that strong Aberdeenshire accent! Get wired into them Hendo!!

Anyway, over to the Lakeside to cheer on the Scots now............................................Oh, hold on.
