  1. Perhaps worth bearing in mind that Bo'ness and co were given the time to hold multiple meetings to arrive at the sensible conclusion having been swayed by previous propaganda from Tom Johnston. The original deadline was March 31st. The big picture on this should be getting everybody on the same page as quickly as possible and doing what's best for the players and fans.
  2. Missing my point. This isn't just about the Fauldhouse committee. Even if they were daft in what they did there's other people losing out based on their decision and the quicker this whole mess gets fully resolved the better.
  3. Maybe, but let's not lose sight of the fact that this is ultimately all about teams playing football and the current Fauldhouse team, their management and the fans that pay to watch them regularly are getting a very raw deal out of all of this if they don't wind up in the EoS playing at least some of the east superleague teams based closest to them that they earned a right to play against and this isn't just all about squabbling blazers and committee men that were daft enough to believe the junior high heid yins. The moves made by Newtongrange, Dundonald, Broxburn, Bo'ness and Lithgae came very late in the day, so another narrow window of opportunity for other clubs to respond to this drastic change in circumstances would not be unreasonable.
  4. I would give them a call and see what they say. There's more chance they might open it up again if they know there's interest.
  5. There was also Tom Thornton the Haddington guy on twitter who may or may not have been Old Northerner on here saying he was told they had got their licence OK when he went to one of their games just before the end of the season.
  6. Maybe 32 given there have been claims from some that LTHV got their licence last month.
  7. ...and they can use league cup sections to maintain local derbies
  8. Nothing ventured nothing gained would probably be the best attitude right now for any club that were misled into believing they would get knocked back in a 2 x 18 format and feel aggrieved about it.
  9. The extra four would be Penicuik, Dunbar, Craigroyston and Arniston from the last time around.
  10. The extra four would be Penicuik, Dunbar, Craigroyston and Arniston from the last time around.
  11. That would fit Newtongrange, St Andrews, Dundonald, Broxburn, Bo'ness, Lithgae, Jeanfield, plus 2 more yet to officially announce who may or may not be Sauchie and Oakley. Guess 3 x 13 would be the format and they might want to open it up again to try to nudge that up to 3 x 14 or beyond.
  12. ...with Sauchie and Oakley also alleged to have applied and the outcome and real reason for Thornton's meeting on Monday still not fully clear.
  13. They had 30 at that point, so why would they push further if they were really concerned about going past the original plan of 2 x 16? They already had two in the pipeline for the following season in the shape of Clydebank and Dundonald to round things off at 32, if that number was critical in some way. The obvious explanation for why they extended the deadline past March 31st in the first place was because they wanted to entice all the remaining south of the Tay superleague clubs to apply to kill off the east region as a competitor for tier 6 status after Tom Johnston announced his collective junior entry plan. Suspect we may even see another brief window of opportunity for more applications after their AGM next week.
  14. Think Tweedmouth might have joined after their AGM and before the start of the following season? There may be a precedent for that scenario and an extra week after their AGM probably wouldn't cause them any huge issues in terms of compiling fixture lists.
  15. One of the reason so many reluctant/hesitant superleague clubs eventually went for it is also probably at least in part that this season will be the last opportunity for newly entering clubs in the east to gain pyramid entry at tier 6 so that they are only one promotion away from the LL.
  16. Has been clearly stated by the EoS, but not 100% definite until ratified at their AGM next week.
  17. This was answered weeks ago. All clubs whether existing or newcomers will start at tier 6 next season and the EoS will be split into regionalised divisions for one transitional season with the top finishing clubs in 18/19 entering into a 16 team top flight division in 19/20 and the rest being at tier 7 in pyramid terms.
  18. An Oakley United poster on here stated that his club had applied and Thornton Hibs had a meeting on Monday that probably wasn't about pie prices. That's the obvious way to get to 40 at this point.
  19. Thornton Hibs are the only other ones who are known to have called a members' meeting, which probably wasn't about the price of pies. Maybe Tayport are including them? Suspect there might be a couple of others flying below the radar at this point.
  20. That's been hinted at strongly on here in recent days by posters who I think are linked with Clydebank and BSC Glasgow.
  21. Think they shot their bolt with the collective junior entry based on the survey proposal complete with an east-west 6 and 10 superduperleague along with the moratorium on new licensing applications back in late March and when that didn't stem the tide there was nothing more they could do.

[In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately Linlithgow Rose F.C. @LRFC1889 EoS League Application: For clarification, the club submitted an application to join the EoS League earlier this week. A meeting with club members had already been arranged for Monday 4th June and will go ahead as planned in line with the club's constitution.
