  1. A truly team performance yesterday with all the players showing that they can dig in and find that bit extra against a strong and physical Harthill side yesterday. Playing the entire 2nd half with 10 then eventually 9 men (due to injury) for the final 20mins showed fighting spirit, dogged determination, strength and the desire of the team. It wasn't easy nor pretty at times but once we went down to 9men just getting 3 points was the main task and …..job done!

Everyone put in an extra shift yesterday but 2 things IMO changed the game in the 2nd half....Duffy getting the 3rd just when Harthill were putting pressure on and a world class save from Matty.

Good to see the primary 7 kids from both local schools turning up yesterday (well done to Albert and the kitchen staff) and also great to see JC looking bit more like his old self ….. fab!

Great 3 points and taking into account the other results yesterday......a great day!.....lead at top now extended to 6 points. Hope the form can continue into the cup next week against junior newcomers Syngenta and then across the bridge the following week against one of top rivals Thornton Hibs.

    Go the Hoose!!

That’s why it was such a shock, none of us expected him to miss! 😂

Think the words that came out my mouth were, “YAA, oh he’s hit the f**king post!!! 😂

You and many others in the ground mate! :oops

  3. The Hoose put on a fantastic 2nd half display of controlled attacking football to comfortably win the "near derby" match with Bathgate in glorious weather at Park View on Sat.

Whilst Bathgate 1st half played well and looked good, it was a bit against the run of play that the Hoose scored 2 quick goals by Michael Wallace to lead 2-1 at the break, as Bathgate were the better team in the 1st half IMO. However the 2nd half brought out a different Hoose team that controlled the game for the remaining 45 mins and even missed a penalty into the bargain. Hoose were by far the better team by a mile 2nd half and showed how to play positive attacking football. After the missed penalty on 64mins  Aaron Connolly scored on 71 and again via the penalty spot 82 mins.  IMO it could have been 6-1 to the Hoose based on how the 2nd half went.

Wee word for the ref who IMO had a good game, letting the play flow and got both penalties spot on with no complaints from Bathgate players over each.

Still top of the table with several other games producing outcomes that suited the Hoose....16 points from 18.....great start.

Lets hope the 2nd half performance on Saturday starts this Saturday against Dundee East Craigie in the cup.

Well done to the lads....GO THE HOOSE!!

Devastated at a 4 all draw after being 0-2 down says it all. A team full of winners but didn’t get that wee break at all against one of the strongest teams in the league, but that’s football...

Exciting times and everyone in the squad is doing their bit to keep it going 👍

It does indeed Spyro…..hopefully the lads will continue the momentum across that bridge at Lochore tomorrow.

Anyone travelling to game tomorrow be aware that there is a concert (Rockore) on at the Country Park near the ground...so allow a wee bit extra travel time.

    Go the Hoose!

I cover quite a few of these games for the local paper, so keep a keen eye on this league.  Paper comes out a Thursday so Wed night matches are too late to make the edition. Was tempted to come through just as paying punter - regret not doing so!

Did cover Whitburn v Faulhouse a fortnight ago and was very impressed with "The Hoose".

Hope to see you at Park View soon then.....let the lads at the gate know who you are when you come in.

    Go the Hoose!

    Well done lads good performance!

First class showing from the Hoose on Saturday, it could've been a win by a bigger margin.

New look team had a good balance and showed lots of determination, flair and creativity going forward. There also numerous other attacking moves that just failed to produce a goal which was very encouraging. Well done lads.

Hopefully the team can maintain this level of performance at home to Armadale tomorrow night and away at Livingston on Saturday.

    Go the Hoose!

  8. Another good result for the Hoose last night at Thornton Hibs and good to see Jack Currie getting back on the score sheet again. This follows up a really good 5 day spell. Credit to all the squad for having the stamina, fitness and not forgetting the  important work and family related balances in place to meet such a demanding schedule of games. 7 points from 9....well done!!

I'm sure JC and the management team will be rightly pleased and proud.

Let's hope we can put in another complete all round team performance on Saturday at home to Lochee Utd, which should be a good test.

    Go the Hoose!

  9. Good result on Sat for the hoose and good to see Jack getting a goal, which I hope will be a good confidence booster for him.

Big test for the hoose on Saturday when Broughty come to Park View but I'm sure the lads will be well up for that challenge, so here's hoping we get a good result.

    Go the Hoose!!

Roller coaster ride of emotions today... Glenrothes rattle the post only seconds into the game. Go in at the break 2 Down. Never threatened much until the last 20m where the Hoose were dominant and relentless, could easily have won the match. Focusing on strong performances, Sammy Watson and a special mention for Conor Cowan who impressed on his debut late on in the game, causing problems down the left flank as Fauldhouse got right back in the game. Highlight of the afternoon goes to JC, we’ll leave it there big man ! You make the decisions on the park and take no shite - Respect !!

Football can be a strange game at times and none more so than Saturday's game.  For the first hour we looked very average and Glenrothes fully deserved their lead then boom! Total transformation probably sparked by JC's substitutions and it certainly ignited the Hoose performance and the game overall. From then there was only one team in it and we had wave after wave of very positive attacking play and we got  our rewards. Yes we could have won the game especially with 1 on one chance with the keeper from a great through ball and given the keeper near the end made 2 outstanding saves yes 3 points could have been ours but being 2 down in the game you would've probably considered a point wasn't that bad in the end.

If the Hoose can raise their game to that on show and experienced in the last 30mins then we will soon start racking the points up. I agree with Fluff that the fighting, never say die attitude was certainly back at the end of the game and some of the attacking football on show also then was a joy to watch.  Fair play to the lads who worked and fought as a team!

Go the Hoose.....let's start against Tayport on Saturday where we finished off against Glenrothes!!

  11. Great 3 points yesterday....well done to JC & all the lads. 2 wins on the trot and 6 goals just the confidence booster that is needed to spur us on.

Next game at home to Glenrothes so fingers crossed we carry on the this good run.....Looking forward to the game (earlier ko 1:45pm on Sat).

    Go the Hoose!!

Was good to see the hoose winning a game on saturday. A deserved victory which makes it more sweeter.

A few squad changes and a few players hopefully rediscovering a bit of form will see our fortunes turn in the league.

Good luck to the guys who have left, good luck to the new signings who have joined.

Best of luck to everyone on Saturday away to KirrieMuir. Let’s hope it’s a well needed 3 points.

    Mon the hoose!

Fully agree Fluff. The team on Saturday looked a more cohesive unit and all the players worked hard to support each other which led to a very solid and impressive performance. IMO the defence looked very solid and we created lots of other chances in attack and being honest could've scored a few more goals on a good day. I cant recall Glenrothes troubling our new keeper very much either.....long may that continue.  As you say lets hope this positive performance helps us on our trip to Kirriemuir on Saturday.

    Go the Hoose!!

  13. Lochore 2 Fauldhouse 4

Difficult conditions and a very tight park yesterday made it hard for the Hoose to get a firm grip on this game but the team showed a good commitment and especially in the second half played some good football with both the 3rd and 4th goals very well worked and taken. If the ref had awarded a (stone wall) penalty in the first half the score-line may have been more convincing. Overall the Hoose IMO deserved the win and the most important thing is that we are in the next round.

All the best to Lochore for the rest of the season. Go the Hoose!

Took in my first game of the season yesterday due to finally being free on a Saturday.

First things first, great team performance, each player won their individual battles and it turned out to be a comfortable afternoon.
    Great 3 points.

I had been outspoken on P&B and Facebook page recently due to results and player holidays etc and I think the difference having a full squad available to pick from yesterday speaks for itself with the result.

I remember Hamish from a few years ago when he came to Fauldhouse for a few games, personally thought he was rank rotten and would never make it. Yesterday he was immense! My man of the match by a mile. Won everything in the air and was calm on the ball. Steven, Sammy and Matty were all brilliant along with young Matty in goals. Thoroughly rewarded with a clean sheet for their efforts.

Sean McManus looks a cracking player and should cause bother against any teams in this league.

Hopefully now we can keep the squad fit and healthy and have the same numbers each week and kick on from here.
Was great to watch yesterday and I’m pleased for everyone involved.

Well done players, management and Committee.

    Mon the hoose emoji536.pngemoji460.pngemoji173.png

Fully agree with your comments Fluff, Saturday's performance was a 100% team effort from start to finish and from the goalkeeper to the forwards. All the players worked hard and there was a real desire and positivity about the team....great to see. Long may this continue!! Go the Hoose!!
