  1. Then they should leave others alone, this started by us being told Livi fans were "Drunk, scaring the poor wee young kids travelling with Ross County."

if you think that's okay, then our positions are truly irreconcilable.

I do believe in live and let live, but very much against anyone, regardless of age, taking a liberty with someone else.

I don't want to hurt feelings, but some of the attitudes toward this are archaic and outmoded, time to move with the times guys.....

Its a NO from me. (the wishy washy, needs to waken up happy clapper). I'll not call anyone else names for now.

  2. to discourage them from what ? Committing criminal acts of violence?

I think that's an okay ambition;  your not suggesting their support should come with a caveat they can be violent to other people? I think I can safely say that if they only want to come to Livi FC to be aggressive and violent, we don't want them.

How many other people, families are they (all violent football fans) putting off coming down to the games.....?

Just calm it down, keep it non violent tribalism and enjoy supporting your team with your mates.

I played rugby and did martial arts, none of this rubbish followed those sports around, what are they trying to prove?

The behaviour of some of your teenage 'young team' on Saturday was absolutely appaling! One thick eedgit with a dull on balaclava!!! Drunk, scaring the poor wee young kids travelling with Ross County.

Not even Celtic, Rangers, ICT or Elgin ever been as bad.

Hopefully CCTV captured that and some of your 'young team' get a chap on the door from the Police! Disgraceful and for that alone deserve relegation.

I will be keeping an eye on Google & your local papers for that.

where was this? Next home game I'll going to wherever they are gathering and giving them a piece of my mind ! Not kidding !

They don't belong to us, they're responsible for their own conduct. I walked through them goading the Ross County boys and it was annoying. At least it was only goading, though. St Mirren boys battered some adult Livi fans at Almondvale a few months back in an unprovoked assault. Aberdeen boys similarly battered adult Livi fans outside Pittodrie last season. There's a gen z thing going on where mobs of them like to batter spectators outside stadiums on matchdays.

I disagree, we all have our part to play in stopping violence and it starts by taking responsibility. These are Livi fans and need to be told it's not acceptable, they do represent the club and the rest of us if they're wearing Livi colours etc....It needs to stop now, all clubs and all fans need to be on the same page

  5. I like Ireland and I like the Irish. Holiday's there and have family history (me mam's an O'Brian).

What the IRA and Irelands relevance in a game of Scottish football in 2024 escapes me. The justification will be weak at best.

I also have family that are/were neck deep in the 'Gers. No problem.

But waving Union Jacks and singing God Save the King' triggers me, not into any of it from either, and its not jealousy, trust me.

Thought the 'tic did well on the 18th min celebrating Kieran's life and love of Livi...

  6. Basically Scotland v Ireland, think you lot are in the wrong league/ country

Singing about the IRA is totally unacceptable and it this rhetoric that stops everyone moving on.

Of course if you ask a Celtic fan specifically, they'll say it wasn;t me'...

Just like Gaza, silence is compliance.

Guy with megaphone was a fucking embarrassment, awful... please stop him.

Thought there were some positives from the game, quite a few negatives, but overall more or less what I expected, not that fussed.

  7. stumbled across this old article, had forgotten about it...was looking to see if any word in national press about Ward etc...

    https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/11108988/scottish-premiership-livingston-losses-unsustainable-court-action/

Makes me think that if the plan to create 6 million new shares at 1p a pop had gone ahead, what would the Fans shares be worth and why would we as fans agree to that reduction in our influence and position regardless of other plots that were afoot?

Also mentions Hogarth being charged, loss of money due to pushing for top 6, oppco6 concerns around involvement of Bearskins etc...

I find the off field machinations frustrating and disjointed, and just think the fans should own the club and stop the merry go round of business minds trying to 'ru(i)n a successful business' and just let us exist, at whatever level that happens to be. More positivity and get building from the ground up.

  8. I must say some of the chat and attitudes on here is just making me think its better to do a total clean out of any incumbents (and its getting confusing at best most of the time), be it club or trust etc, I still have some loyalty to DM, but at this point if everyone was to just get to f**k, I wouldn't be too upset. A reset might be a good thing.

If there are parties involved that want to continue playing a role with  LFC, then they need to step forward, be clear, and absolutely refrain from pursuing personal agendas.

Club comes first or get to @*x%!

Your quote from the club statement isn’t proof. Ward’s accusations, especially of this magnitude, have to be proven in court after a full diet and I’m afraid it never got that far.

    1. If he reported himself to the police for fraud and he wasn’t arrested, tried, and sentenced … what is he guilty of?

Where has he admitted fraudulent accounting?

But hey…. Who needs proof when you can just believe Honest John?!

    2. I think you’re out of your depth here little man.

    1. Answer ; Either what he reported himself for (which couldn't be proved, which btw doesn't mean didn't happen), or incredible stupidity for reporting himself for nothing.

    2. Yuk

The LFL Trust have fully lost the plot. Their members that are banned from the stadium, I presume are Hogarth/Rankine? The same group that sat on the board at the same time Rankine was allowed to rinse the club. They've picked their side, Hogarth/Rankine/Sumner. Their apparent involvement with Beurskens has alarm bells ringing as well.

In that post alone, they've been proven to have lied. A majority of their AGMs and meetings have historically been held at the club. Only these new 'closed' meetings have been held at Crofthead Farm or via Zoom. When called on the lies they've resorted to legalese language and demanding apologies. The LFL wasn't always like this but those that have held control of it have utterly failed it for a long time now - they've either had the wool pulled over their eyes by people draining the club of cash via courts or are fully backing them.

John Ward had repeatedly offered to attend the meeting and give his side of the story, and is now being denied. He's handed over evidence of shares to the LFL. Rankine, as of yet still hasn't replied to the request to give his side of the story.

Why are the LFL not calling for Livingston fans to come forward and stand for election to the board, is this a back door so that Hogarth/Rankine/Sumner can instil their own people and gain support of the Livingston support? Already there's been members co-opted onto the board who were not elected. I absolutely do not trust these people to have a greater say in the club and an increased shareholding, at this point it's as good as handing the shares off to H/R/S.

The claim that they have no insight into the boardroom battle alone is complete rubbish given their ties to Hogarth alone, let alone long standing historic ties to Rankine and the seat on the board under his rule.

The one thing I do agree on, is the need for an open fan's forum at the stadium in which John Ward can brief the fans on the current on-goings, as he's been trying to do.

The time has come for a new trust away from any side in this fight, an independent Livingston FC Trust with only the club's survival and prosperity in mind. Not to line the pockets of anyone. It has to start somewhere. It's our club, it's not a company there to make profit for anyone.

    Are you JW? 😂

I'm getting the sense there are some personal feelings getting thrown int the mix, for reference: I have no idea who any of you actually are, nor any knowledge or memory of skulduggery on anyone's part. For me the main thing is to take a sensible approach as fans to strengthen our position. Majority shareholding would be the aim.

I read the message as inviting livi fans to join as members, and also looking for a whole new Board to step in...

  11. yes they do have to explain themselves, everyone should be held to account and their motives questioned. I don't think we can shift positions for different parties/stakeholders. In fact, this is exactly what is needed, some clarity and a figurehead to lead the club and develop the business. Shadowy figures waiting to cash out when the timing is right is a load of old f**k and our club doesn't need any more cloak and dagger drama.

Can't everyone be part of this journey, all together, fans, owners, players all of us...

We stick around for the love of the club, I suspect so do some of the other players in this am-dram, but possible to that there are selfish motives as well (all round potentially)

Name calling and denigrating other posters is simply you spunking away any credibility you have. Stick to educating and highlighting, less of the superiority complex nonsense...

From our side, we need a meeting, either via fans forum or trust initiated, a lot of things need clarified and we need to do more to ensure accountability and transparency from everyone involved in running this club

They’ve retaken control over the company that owns the football club.

john ward and Paul Cullen ‘resigned’ earlier last month. Go in companies house ‘opcco 6 ltd’

This has been the result of a long term struggle between the shareholders (hogarth, sumner) and the hostile (ex) directors Cullen and Ward.

    So where are they?

  13. I don't mind, some folks are just different, I used to get pished and pretend someone else was using my keyboard so i could talk shite (?). Looking back that was a bit nuts...

Just let the chat head somewhere, calling folks names is a bit shite, I like the chat where there are open minded exchanges, and we actually get informed opinions and civil debate

I also like when you'se talk actual football and tactics and stuff, and never seem to disagree much (okay sometimes).

Just leave out the undermining and name calling, we're Livi lions, lets do better than that
