  1. Wasnt me that said, but I agree with it. Would also add recruitment was always a concern (even more so than normal for County). Was part gutted - part delighted to see Ketts do so well with you at the start, but deja-vu now. Hope he turns it around, hes a good guy, and I do think theres something there.
  2. Think that's everything fixed now. Well done everyone who contributed.
  3. Blair Malcolm got a start and 90mins away to Killie and I quite liked the look of him too. But he got emptied to Cowdenbeath shortly after. Think I read hed really struggled with injuries, but had a decent season at Albion Rovers last season? In general, theres no-one that we've let go thats 'proved us wrong'. To the extent that Ross Stewart did St Mirren, for example. That said, Id much rather we'd managed to coach a couple into regular squad members.
  4. Jesse "two names for a bird" Debrah looks exciting though.
  5. Ben-Frem-Ben-Frem-Ben-FremPAH! Ben-FremPAH! Ben-FremPAH! Ben-Frem-Ben-Frem-Ben-FremPAH! Ben-FremPAH!PAH!PAAAH!!!! Aye, was gutted he didnt work out. Been rattling around English lower league since.
  6. But aye, its been 2 years, discussions on the text-saga are just flogging a really boring horse corpse. And without getting a financial model based on questionnaires to all County fans, am gonna assume that most folk will project their horse-corpse-thoughts onto the associated financial impact on the club. Am gonna do a Lester Piggott and leave the horse alone now*. * euphemism, am not gonna die so I never have to talk about Malky MacKay again, as tempting as that is at times.
  7. As a general statement - I dont think the use of black labour disqualifies someone from being a racist... To be clear, thats a devil's advocate comment. I'm not implying County would run a plantation.
  8. My only guess is that he persevered thinking County's centre would mop up whatever Killie's flanks did, and maybe allow County to counter given Killie's fullbacks were so far forward. But our centre conceded 3 goals. And the counter just involved punting it at two outnumbered and overworked strikers, who'd lose it, so we had 1 shot on target all game (a penalty) So aye, totally agreed, how could he not notice it wasnt working??
  9. I hope thats what it is. The alternatives are he's actually deluded, or he's covering his arse to make his team/him sound unfortunate. Even if it is, its maddening to watch him fail to address those issues all game, and to then hear no recognition of the issues post-match. Might protect the confidence of the players, but does nothing for the fans confidence in the team (fair enough the former is more important than the latter).
  10. Dhanda was first over to the fans after the game and applauded us. Fair enough if he didnt hang around, he must be hating it just now. With the ball continually hoofed over his head, he was barely in the game. Also played with an injury so was likely in bits (subbed off injured midweek, was still hobbling on Saturday, very surprised he played the 90mins Sunday) Regarding the game: impotent hoofball to outnumbered strikers; no attacking width till Edwards thrown on at end but wasnt enough; killie outnumbering us 2-1 on both flanks when they attacked and Armstrong having a field day (again); our best player (Dhanda) not accommodated at all; did nothing to fix any of it. Think everyone there, including the Kilmarnock fans we spoke to in the pub and on the train, and the match reports we've read, all agree on that. Yet Malky comes out with that shite after the game. All Malky's baggage, his high wages, the bloated imbalanced squad, and the dreadful dreadul football. Tough ask going to games like.
  11. wow?! had totally missed that! just assumed they were kicking about Serie D kinda heart-breaking: https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/chievo-verona-sergio-pellissier-flying-donkeys-serie-a-1167203 hopefully they can pull something together in an upcoming season?
  12. This hasn't got the credit it deserves. (You're Jimmy Stewart in this scenario right... if not, I envy your ability to not give a f**k)
  13. 5 guys in the centre circle, with 3 more guys filling out midfield, and 2 horribly exposed centrebacks sort of in front of a goalie. Id say that's absolutely spot on. We've been playing that formation for years.
  14. Oh I know, I was being cynical about the attitude being shown by the club. Those last two posts were meant to be one, hopefully makes more sense in context. Aye, this.
  15. Like any wee team, County are not good enough to support for the football, folk support them cos they're meant to represent our community, "support your local team". Might sound as twee as a shortbread Billy Ferries, but to a lot of folk the community is more important than the football. So if those folk think County are representing our community badly, they'll stop supporting County. Its pretty fucking simple, and the club knows it well enough to make it a big part of their marketing, but here we are. There's maybe a spreadsheet somewhere with a column for 'snowflakes lost', and another for 'fucks given'. Looks like that second column is winning.
  16. Just to add the bit in bold to everything that CountyFan said. Additional point being, if the club is MacGregor's and his to do with as he sees fit, regardless of anyone else, then that distances everyone else from the club. If it's his club, then it's not our club. So why should we give him money and support to do things we disagree with? ["Things" being the decisions made, or the way the decisions are handled, or other. It's a vague term...] Supported County since the Highland League days, and never been as disenchanted as I have the last few seasons. So many things just weren't sitting right, and increasingly so. Was wary that was just me getting old and football changing so much in general. Turning into a middle-aged gadge howling at the moon. But the shambles this last week leaves me pretty convinced it's cos too many folk are taken for granted too often at County, us fans included. [There may still be a lot of middle-aged gadge howling at the moon in there]
  17. I totally agree Stormy. You've got them all bang to rights. ETA - And your joke was hilarious.
  18. I'm with Stormy. Burning a family out of their homes while they sleep is absolutely equivalent to someone hurting themselves by being an utter fucking moron. It's why the Gaza conflict features so regularly in amusing "Fail" video compilations. If anything Stormy is the victim here. I'm with you Stormy.
  19. Well I never... Looks like a few people need a visit from a few ghosts tonight.
  20. He has managed >19 games in a season once since 2014-15. I expect he will miss a lot of this season due to injury.
  21. I think one of the problems with 352 is it lets other teams double up on wingbacks, and reduces our attacking threat (all the more significant if its Mullin, arguably our biggest threat going forward, having to spend time defending the right flank against two left sided players) Could be a time and place for it tho.
