  1. After seeing the replay I'm suprised what Danny saw defendable in that. A poor mis-judgement I would conclude by our number nine!
  2. Great news! Thistle are in freefall and Clyde are on the way back. So much potential in the squad, furthermore with players who will only improve. Cheers Danny Lennon
  3. Danny: "Our away support was absolutely fantastic and we'd like to acknowledge that. They saw another side of the team today and we can all go down the road knowing that everyone in a Clyde jersey or scarf had a massive part to play. It's a collectively earned point." Danny: "Losing your main striker is a big blow, but we handled it well and the heads didn't go down. I've had the benefit of watching the incident a few times and it's a coming together of two committed players - it's too close for either of them to get out of it Clyde FC @ClydeFC · 25m Danny on today: "Overall, I'm delighted. We know what we can do with the ball, but for long periods without the ball today we were excellent and our shape was good. We had to give up a lot of possession, but even then over the 90 minutes, we probably still had the best chances." 3 4 19 Clyde FC @ClydeFC · 53m Full Time: Peterhead 1-1 Clyde Clyde get a point at Balmoor after playing the majority of the game with 10 men. Thanks to all fans who made the trip #bullywee
  4. What a classy individual you are. Spending your Saturday writing abuse on an internet forum. -------- Admittedly didn't make the game today, but very happy with a point. Probably would have taken a point pre game, so considering DGW's sending off - a point gained imho. I presume Arbroath (A) is included in the upcoming ban? Shame because he was a rich vein of goalscoring form.
  5. Really poor from Peterhead - paying big bucks, but can't produce a programme
  6. The notion that Lennon's success at Clyde is mostly attributed to having DGW - really infuriates me. Sorry to digress momentarily but watched 'highlights' yesterday from the Chapman era. Duck! The way Danny got the boys organised, furthermore making the team harder to beat. The amount of 'poor' goals being conceeded weekly was blatantly obvious. Also getting some young hungry lads in whom continue to improve and get better. Chris Johnston, being the latest player to follow this trend. Peterhead (A) tomorrow: a tough game awaits. Good luck lads!
  7. Silly question, but aren't the players part time? If so what would Danny and Allan do to be full time? Just curious...
  8. And how many players would go with Danny? Hopefully nothing comes from this.
  9. If memory serves me correctly, we got a 'doing' up at Balmoor in Aug 18, but reversed fortunes with a memorable victory in January (this year). Similar fortunes at Broadwood, which again emphasises progress made under the stewardship of Danny Lennon. Not sure who is scoring the 'Blue Toon' goals. Mccalister and Lyle not the prolific strikers they used to be. Regardless as mentioned above Peterhead are a big physical side. I'm hopeful Clyde's recent upturn in results continues. Why shouldn't it? Just scored six, beat QOTS and currently have the top scorer in the division. Therefore 1-2 Clyde
  10. Don't agree, Goodwillie is very well serviced, as he alluded to in a post match interview. He has got some very good players behind him: who I might add played a pivotal role in getting the club promoted.
  11. Fantastic record and reckon he will hit 20 again this year. Hopefully get him re-signed real soon for 20/21 P.s he could have 20 by Christmas
  12. Didn't forecast that scoreline today at all. Clyde started with a real energy and intensity, missing 3 or 4 chances before the opening penalty. The attacks were relentless, wave after wave. Mcstay probably emboldened after last week, delivered a golden masterpiece alongside the ever impeccable Ray Grant. David Goodwillie was sublime today: possibly his best performance in a Clyde jersey? Unplayable and honestly could and should have had more. With Rankin and Syvertsen to return. Where will they fit into the first XI on current form? Furthermore it bodes very well for the long season to come.
  13. He was excellent against Stranraer last year, scoring a brace if memory serves me correctly?
  14. Think Clyde played Stranraer last year, and won 3-1 at Stair Park. I'd be hoping for something similar particularly with a number of attacking options available. Heard on SoccerFM: Stranraer have been struggling for numbers. But really Clyde NEED to win this, and build on recent performances. Clyde 2-1 (Love & Goodwillie)
  15. A few thoughts: Does Danny start Johnston next week over Darren Smith? Really hope we can keep Ray Grant, he is at the epicentre of everything Clyde FC. Mcstay and Lamont I had reservations about in League 1: but they have stepped up to the plate. Well and truly shaken off the tag of being solely reliant on David Goodwillie. Granted he can turn a game with a modicum of brilliance, but the guys behind him are now producing the goods also. Can't believe Clyde turned that around yesterday. What a buzz it must be to be part of the squad. Stranraer, Peterhead, Dumbarton and Montrose to conclude the first quarter: all winnable games to me on current form.
  16. What a second half! Didn't forsee that at all. Grant and Mcstay quality in cm, and I thought Howie was excellent also.
