As its Old Firm day if I were you I'd go for a nice walk out in the countryside until kickoff. The town will almost certainly be full of utter cretins. Even worse than normal.

With regards to the incident itself - Dougie Hill is no stupid wee laddie. He is 30. Should not be swinging glassware around in a nightclub regardless of any provocation. He is very lucky as this could have ended much worse. I wouldnt play him on Saturday. Partly due to this incident and partly due to the fact that I havnt been impressed with what I've seen of him yet. Maybe this hanging over him has affected his form.

To score regularly maybe Isaac should concentrate on hitting the target. Couldnt believe how many chances he missed. Shame because other than his finishing he had a decent game. However strikers are judged on how many they score. Room for much improvement there for him. Overall a decent first half which unfortunately drifted away into pre season mediocrity in the second. Standouts were this Max Mayol guy in the first half (fell out of it a bit in the second) and Hetherington the whole game. Thought he did really well.

Somewhere down the line this rumour is going to run out of steam. Lets keep this thread on track.

1st half was pretty decent however it all went a bit typical preseason friendly in the 2nd. I think Geoff can cause problems but he is far from the finished article. We still need another good forward. Holmer looked more like himself tonight. Flannigan again impressive. Layne continues to disappoint and dont get me started on Ferns. Strange that we had the academy keeper and another even younger looking guy out tonight. Thought we would have seen either or both of the contenders for starter. Also has Couser gone on loan? I like the look of Reintam. Looks like a calm heid.

Looks like Reintam and Williams have signed. No surprise as they have played most of the friendlies so far. I guess Lennon will know Williams from his saints days. Reintam looks a composed player from what we've seen so far.

You said you hate Livi. I took that as a sign of being annoyed at them. Usually if I hate something it annoys me as well.

Why get annoyed at the club? The players who have gone there have hardly had a gun held to their heads. They've been offered full time football. We cant compete with that. I'm no Livi lover but in this instance take a look at the players not the club. Time to move on.

If Gordon is pissing us about then he **** off as far as I'm concerned. Good player as he is no one is irreplaceable. Lets move on and get our team sorted out. Same goes for Doyle. In fact more so in his case.

Layne wont be anywhere near the starting line up this season. I know its early doors and some of our other signed players were also less than impressive tonight but if you cant do anything against Edinburgh City then what hope is there. Happy to be proved wrong but cant see it.

Big centre forward we had playing in the 1st half? Didn't look up to much.

Typical first friendly. Tons of trialists. Poor game despite the score. Some dross playing for us however one or two caught the eye. Giant Geoff Mitchell took his two headers sublimely. Catalin looked a player and scored a cracking goal. We also seemed to have Estonian Mikk Reintam as a trialist defender. The number 6 in the second half also looked no bad. The number 3 in the second half was so bad he put a corner out for a throw on the same side of the pitch.

Would imagine that the railway end will be closed. Proper death trap that. Apart from that it will be stand or sit wherever the feck you like.

Kader looked quite impressive in the playoff games. Obviously got pace too. Will be a useful signing I think.

i would think losing the Scottish Cup final would be far more painful than losing the diddy cup final.

You would think so but the fact that we've heard nothing doesnt fill me with confidence. Ben deserves the chance of full time but would be a bit galling to see him end up playing against us especially if it was with Livi. Happy with the 3 signings tonight. Shold be more to come soon.
