  1. Mark Ramsay has signed for Arbroath, according to someone on the 2nd division forum. Apologies for quoting a post which is nearly a week old, but I've been on holiday and have missed various developments here and there.

I think it's Mark Baxter who has signed for Arbroath, leaving us still in with a chance of signing Ramsay sometime next week.

  2. I can't understand how you can discuss the debt, but discount the largest part of it. The biggest problem we face is that we have one individual acting as guarantor to the stadium, should RRFC default on payments to the Allied IrishBank, the stadium for many clubs is their main means of securing their debt, we have no such luxury.

I am sure the board do hope the debt is substantially less than 6 figures.

In reality that is not the case, unless someone has been telling lies to companies house, and not declaring some of our income, thus defrauding the taxman.

*Hi Eric, like the new username*

For goodness sake - the separation of the debt was not made by me! It happened during the period of rescue when John Sim came in. At present, that is still the case. The part of the debt that we can do something about is now less than 6 figures, which is attainable in the short term. Also, if this part of the debt is wiped out we are less likely to default on payments to the Allied Irish Bank.

I agree with you that a club without a ground is in a dangerous situation but as things stand there's not a lot we can do about it.

  3. Do keep up. The £200,000 figure is the money from the cup run, not the fucking debt. If you want to challenge WB on his figure of such a sum representing a 25% cut in the debt feel free.

Did I question the cup run money? For your information the debt, Stark's Park and its rental aside, is hoped to be substantially less than six figures. This is not a 'guesstimate'. As for your 'do keep up' comment, grow up.

  4. Based on WB's estimate of the debt reduction from his own sources and a ball park estimation based on gate prices, total crowd figures, probable demographics of the crowd, a bit of a guesstimate regarding likely TV revenue for our cup run, allied to some conversations I've had with others closer to the club than me which would seem to confirm my estimate above as being closer rather than farther away from the true sum we recieved.

In other words you haven't got a clue what the debt is.

  5. (assuming 200 grand as 25% of the debt, no proof of this, merely fag packet calculations based on your 25% figure and my pulling 200 grand out of the air)

What is the point in using such an arbitrary figure when talking about a club's debt? You'd be as well saying that Raith are £12 million in debt, which is equally daft.

  6. Both ourselves and (further back) Kilmarnock have had to claw our way out of the bottom tier. Dunfermline & St. Johnstone rose from it in the 80s and are looking sound.

Oh really, Dunfermline are looking sound are they? That is one hugely ill-informed piece of rubbish.

    Let me set things straight:

Dunfermline don't own their ground. So what you might say. Several clubs don't. But Dunfermline are

    12 million!!!!!!!!!!!

    in debt.

    12

    Million!!!!!!
