  1. Obviously I've only seen Clyde against Falkirk but what always struck me was the total defence football from Clyde. We were rank rotten (still could be) and most teams have gone at us, getting a result. Yet, Clyde still parked the bus. Shite? Shit tactics against a shit Falkirk.
  2. I would hope that Rennie sees us as the SPL team we once were and his aim would be to return us to previous glories. The short contract is to prevent a Hartley Mckinnon, M&M and Sheerin fiasco. After the 4th attempt, it seems the BOD have finally seen common sense. Today will be interesting due to how Clyde have historically played at TFS and often at Broadwood. The most defensive team we've probably played against in recent times. Hoping for a real go from KO and I think it'll be quite direct from us. Clyde will constantly be looking to play long balls up to Badwillie to run through.
  3. A better formation dealing with our defensive frailties, players being given clear instructions what to do especially our defence and a more balanced midfield with players in more comfortable/natural positions. Obviously players want to impress but even at EF we looked more assured.
  4. We have been here so many times in the last few years as Falkirk fans and like most football fans, we believe this could be our pivotal moment. If Rennie is our saviour... our new Totten or Jefferies then somebody is going to get a hammering from us. Based on previous encounters, more than likely it's going to be Clyde sitting back looking for a draw or breakaway goal. It's Christmas, we are allowed to dream!
  5. After hearing about the bounce game against DAFC and what I saw through the fog at EF, I'm looking forward to this one. Clyde surely won't park the bus again but I think a convincing win for FFC. 3-0 with Keena, Nesbit and Morrison.
  6. Absolutely nothing to do with the vaccine passport, it's about stopping illness. The emergency services are at crisis point due to staff illness/absence and this is set to get potentially worse over the next month. Not just people contracting Covid but staff displaying symptoms, this can remove an ambulance crew or police unit for 2 days (if the test returns negative). This applies to the control rooms as well! Imagine phoning 999 because your Gran fallen and has broken her hip behind a locked door. There is a huge risk this year your going to be told "Sorry, phone a locksmith and take her to A&E yourself". I love Falkirk but I can wait to see us play again.
  7. Yeah... because if she didn't put in restrictions, this will be the queue at Larbert A&E!
  8. It's a better game game to have postponed when leading 1-0 rather than it being against Cove or QP etc. We should be better on the 22nd of January having played more games together.
  9. The TFS had a bomb scare years ago, it was a box of biscuits if I remember.
  10. Anyone know the time frames for MR? When he is going to start or do media, will he be in charge on Saturday?
  11. The majority of the support are getting behind the idea of Rennie and It can't get any worse than it already is tbh. It is unfortunate that he has inherited a very poor defence but further up the pitch, we do look a lot better with Nesbitt and Morrison being the obvious stand outs. Let's see how he sets the team up, how the team responds and where we are at 4.45 on Saturday.
  12. I was christened there to and it was years before him as well.
  13. I have no idea what your trying to say but his father is Cliff Rennie who is/was the minister at Larbert Old Parish.
  14. No relation, but his Dad was the minister at Larbert Old Church. He has a 3rd brother but have no idea of his name.
  15. His family lived (may still do) in South Broomage Avenue, I knew his little brother (Atholl) but was in the year between them. Absolutely over the moon with this, far better than Rice or the other mundane names. The fans will get behind him from day one and looking forward to seeing his changes.
  16. Christ, that is enough to make anyone depressed!! The only ones I fancy off that list is Darren Young or Dick Campbell... Although didn't Hopkin do ok with Livi?? We need to be bold to get us back in the limelight... it would be great to get Ross or even approach Shelley Kerr?
  17. If the news is to be believed, Morton and a few teams in difficulty.
  18. I am the same but after we play PT in 2 weeks, we only play them once more. A win or even a draw for us and I can't see them overtaking us, the 6 point gap just looks too big for anyone to catch us. If we lose, the gap is down to 3 and with still having to play them once more.... I find that the most worrying!!
  19. To be fair, it was lack of social distancing that got in him trouble in the first place!!!!
  20. At least we aren't Hamilton.... And no, we don't want Brian Rice back!!
  21. I thought the team looked more balanced and more comfortable defending. We also played quite high as well, forcing dumbarton to sit in a fair bit more. Maybe the team and tactics to use against Cove? Meggison and McAllister aren't quick so less likely to get onto a ball over the top but Goodwillie showed that decent strikers only need a few chances to score. I'd like to think that we'll go attacking against Cove rather than show them any respect.
  22. Guess who'll be man marked when we play Cove. Morrison is looking good.
  23. Quite enjoying the game, seem to be fairly solid. Perhaps it's the opposition but don't look too bad.
  24. From looking outside, you had a great team (maybe not great individuals but certainly played as a team). Top of the table pushing for promotion before IM left, I can't really remember Ayr doing so well.
  25. Why would Mark Kerr be any different from our current rookie managers? He inherited a great squad pushing for promotion, they'll be lucky to finish in the top half of the championship.
