People thinking Temps is going to start might be in for a shock, he's not really done anything to suggest he deserves a cup final starting slot, and on a big wide pitch, Driver will probably get the nod (who is actually starting to improve a wee bit, but not as good
as he used to be). I can see Suso ripping giving Hibs all sorts of problems though.
I fear Suso and not the other two.

As I said, cling onto the faint hope we play as shite as you.
Of course. Exactly like your semi final win.

You never answered mate. He may be not very good but he is contacted to side in the premiership and is probably on treble the amount Templeton is on and Templeton will never sign for a premier league side.
They are facts, the world is a cruel place sometimes.

You're right about our keeper, he's a worry, it would be great if we wheeled out Kello as a surprise inclusion for this game as a lot of Hibs heads would go down at the sight of him in goal. To be honest, you need a hatchet
man in the middle of the park, and the only one you have is hopeless, Ian Murray. We've got plenty options in the middle of the park if things aren't quite going to plan though, I'm not so sure Hibs have the same and can't
afford to get it wrong from the outset, I can't bloody wait mate, the excitement now is fever pitch and there's still 5 sleeps to go ffs, I'm gonna be a wreck come the weekend!
I would much rather play with ten men than Ian these days. We probably do need steel in the middle as we're a soft touch, hopefully ozzy is on form as he's been really good in some and gash in others.
Know what you mean mate, I woke up at 4am this morning and that was me up. Im going to be a nervous wreck come the weekend. I'm getting wrecked win or lose, that's the comforting part.

His last league appearance for Stoke was in December 2008.
What club is he contracted to and what division are they in? He is contracted to a Premiership side.

Neither of these teams were as good as us when you compared the players individually. By all means hang on the faint chance that you might be able to drag us down to your level but to say that you have the better team on a player by player basis is laughable in the extreme
I didn't say that at all though, I said the opposite in fact.
Neither of they teams were as good as hearts or hibs but in one off games both papped yous as did RELEGATED AYR in the league cup.
One off game, anything can happen.

Tom Soares being better than David Templeton is an outrageous suggestion and Andy Webster is about 100 times the defender Paul Hanlon will ever be.
Skacel vs Griffith is not even close either.
Templeton has done sod all all season, Soares like it or not is a premiership player so there must be something there. Both are a hit or a miss.
Suso is better than Templeton.

The key for Hibs will be supplying your two front men, if you lose the midfield battle again then the front pair will inevitably get no service, and that will only result in one thing, it can't be easy for Fenloan to try and pit the midfield he has at his disposal against a midfield who haven't had the better of ours for some considerable time now, I'm expecting dirty tactics from Hibs if I'm being honest
because that's what Hibs tried in the last game at Tynecastle, and to be fair it could
have worked in the 2nd half as we were much poorer after the break and you had spells of the game.
Our gameplan will be keep it tight, get the ball from back to front as soon as possible to the front two.
Your defenders are not the fastest in the world and that gives me some hope. Also the keeper is pretty dodgy.
I don't think it will be a dirty game at all. Neither team have that many dirty players. It would be mad to not try and stop your midfielders playing.

and evidently you aren't as good as you think you are. you finished ELEVENTH ahead of one of the worst teams of the spl era.
Was that not that Gretna side that pumped you's in there last ever game? Then there was Hamilton last season?

Green tinted glasses mate. Hearts have a better side. They were top 6 we were battling the drop.
Webster is much better than Hanlon and all there midfielders are better than ours.
We need a performance of a lifetime off Garry and LG and hopefully get a few derby decisions for once.

4 working days until the biggest event of my life so far. I genuinely think it's going to turn me into an alcoholic.

Remember the time Hibs came within minutes of winning the league?
Me neither.
In the end you lost. That is all that matters.
Minutes away is loser chat. Fact.

I really hope the cripple plays in the final.
Kevin Kyle left hearts mate.
Shit I bit.

I'am shtting myself about the game. I could either be the best day or worst day of your life
Win. It's the best day of my life regardless of the opposition.
Lose I do a Semi final special - avoid all media for a month, concentrate on going to Santorini in June and watching the Euro's.

Behave yourself.
I had a mate who I went to all the games with years ago. He got his first bird and shamelessly lost all interest. After one derby defeat (the one where Zaliukas scored the winner) he turned round to me in my raging, half cut state and started his pish about what an amazing, wonderful world we live in regardless of a football result.
We aren't friends anymore.
Was that no the derby after the League Cup win?
What a pumb.

Am I the only one who is not shitting themselves over this game? Tbh I hardly give it any thought. I'm sure the nerves will kick in on Friday night but Christ the way some people are acting you'd think they were about to storm Omagh beach. It's just a football game peeps. No matter who loses (Hearts) the sun will rise the next day on us (Leith)
Nah. It's the biggest occasion of my life.
It's the one we have all been waiting for - ever.
Imagine we win the Scottish Cup for the first time in over 110 years - against them.
Imagine they lose the Scottish Cup final and it's to us and that hoodoo is gone for good.
May 19th 2012 is the day of destiny.

It's a bit more than that though, isn't it? You admit that you're "terrified" of losing "the match our whole lives have been waiting for".
Of course I'm terrified it's the biggest match of my life.
We win it will mean more to us and you lose it will mean more to you's.

The way this thread is going......
Point made
Decent reply
tosser comes along from one of the divide
tosser gets ignored
no bad banter
no bad banter back
tosser gets involved
tosser gets ignored
and so on.
The Gary Locke on is a valid point. It's also to Hearts' advantage that the majority of the players have been there a good couple of seasons or have come through the ranks.
Most importantly it will be who turns up on the day, who gets what breaks and who can handle the pressure.
If we lose it's another derby defeat and another year on the cup hoodoo. I expected us, genuinely to be emptied off Cowdenbeath.
Hearts lose and it's the end of the world. The biggest thing they ever had over Hibs no matter who had the best side, no matter who won the last derby - GONE. And not just gone but gone against them.
I know there will be many people on here especially who say they are not worried but deep down I'm terrified. We're just over a week away for the match our whole lives have been waiting for.

IMO (and i dont mean it to be cheeky) I think Hearts have to under perform and hibs will have to play to their best to win.
Of course. Unfortunately the pressure will be felt by the hearts support and maybe not the team.

Well done.
Skacel and Webster not lost in their second spells with the club.
Any in the past three years?
I know they havent that wasn't the question.
Considering we haven't won a derby match in 3 years it's pretty obvious the answer is no.
In conclusion please take my advice and think before you post. Especially if part of your post consists of "I can't think of any"
Goodnight.

Do you have any photos of Hibs players actually celebrating derbies?
I don't actually think there are ANY Hearts players or staff curently who have lost to Hibs since being at Hearts.
Skacel. Webster. Zakiukas. David Oboua.
There's 4. Gary Glen Andy Driver too.
This thread is a complete car crash.

James McPake grabbing a last minute winner for the Hibees with his head is written on the cards.
You just know thats going to be the way of it.
If that happens then I'll literately piss myself.

Gretna in the second division also took you to penalties did they not?
Relegated Ayr emptied you out the league cup this season.
Many things can happen in one off games. Not one hearts player would get in the Celtic side that thumped you 9-0 over two league games and we all know what happened in the semi with a lot of luck.
