  1. At home to Monza tomorrow. 19:45 (TNT Sports 1)
  2. Honestly, I've found Skybet to be the best sportsbook. The odds are competitive, the interface is good and there's tons of streams. It helps that I've won £2k+ in the past month. Ladbrokes and William Hill closed my account for daring to win such amounts.
  3. Agreed. It's like when people swore blind that McTominay wasn't United's best finisher, using his lack of goals as evidence... regardless of the fact that he was playing as an anchorman.
  4. Citing Gilmour as having a weakness is churlish. He's an elite player. His only weakness, if you can call it that, is his shooting.
  5. How about a provoked war for independence?
  6. He isn't really equipped for it. It's why United bought Casemiro and Ugarte and it's why they wasted two preseason tracking Frenkie De Jong. Mainoo is more of a box to box dynamic player. He's good, but he has much to learn. Definitely fair. As you say, it's up to Gilmour to make it impossible for Conte to ignore him. I remember a few years ago Anguissa was at Fulham. He was OK. I wouldn't be shocked if Gilmour wasn't first choice by the end of the season. It's not like he's trying to dislodge Pirlo. Just needs time to acclimatise to the surroundings.
  7. He's been lively. The goal was from a 4 yard tap in. They all count. He also swung in a cross with his left and Latte Lath did the crossbar with a header. Doak almost got another goal at the end of the half He's done OK.
  8. Ben Doak starts for Middlesbrough. Porteous and Hanley on the bench.
  9. Couldn't agree more. See my previous post. A certain Southern neighbour are scuttling around Ligue 1 hoping to find one.
  10. 3-4-2-1 to 4-2-3-1? I've heard that it's a permanent change going forward with McTominay being the middle of the 3/second striker. Yeah. As I said in an earlier post, Lobotka looks like a Gilmour clone. The chances of Conte playing both in any meaningful games, without being forced, is slim. It's funny that even Slovakia can produce a top-drawer metronomic midfield controller and England can't. Probably the only reason they lost both European Championship finals. Closest England have Is Angel Gomes. Yeah... there's a reason United released him. Then Wharton. Both mid-table EPL players. And that's all she wrote...
  11. Personally, I have watched 90 minutes of all my team's matches (even friendlies) since the introduced of the match engine (CM4, with the little counters). Is it time consuming? Definitely. But it adds realism. Real managers don't take trips in their time machine during matches. But saying that, I haven't been an avid player since FM2012. (I've played it since the first Championship Manchester on the Amiga) and totally gave it up when they brought in the DRM that made it impossible to... you know. Taking out international football is crazy. My last FM career was when I was joint manager of East Fife (SPL) and Scotland u19s. I might still have the box for Championship Manager laying around. I definitely still have the Amiga 600.
  12. Yeah. I saw him a lot with the Chelsea youths. He just has a habit of side footing his shots instead of just leathering it. Agreed. We're lucky to have him. Our southern neighbour would kill to have him. He's an exceptional talent. It isn't sexy or flashy role but every team needs a metronome in midfield. Anguissa and Lobotka were brilliant against Juventus, I think those two will be the double pivot. Gilmour will have to bide his time, but I have no issues with that, as the aforementioned aren't going to last forever. It's all about context. Being a squad player at a massive club like Napoli isn't much of a diss. Gilmour will be a first team player in no time.
  13. Gotta say, that was a great first start for Gilmour... apart from the boot to the noggin. 97% pass completion (71 out of 73) Him and McTominay are going to dominate Serie A. (I can see why Lobotka is rated so highly, though. He's like a Gilmour clone. The thing that really struck me is that Lobotka has won the Scudetto, he's 6 years older than Gilmour, but there's nothing to separate them in regards of talent)
  14. Came on as sub on 77. Scored with his first touch. Then hit the crossbar. Scott McTominay doing Scott McTominay things Italian football is looking good on him. It's making him look like prime Cantona.
  15. Still waiting on that PM, Shaggy. Oh. If you want help with that obvious inherent paranoia, give me a shout. In fairness, it's not just you. I've been accused of being the numbers guy, the Bing guy and the Butters guy. There's major paranoia in this place. But hey, it makes a change from people accusing other people of being me. Just ask butters (or Cartman). He was banned from TAMB because people thought he was me. lol Ain't that right, Scotty2Hotty?
