  1. Runaway jury 8/10 Good courtroom drama focusing mainly on the selection and control of the jury. Great cast, some good performances, nice twist, a few action scenes. Don't really want to go into the plot as will be spoilers but I would definitely recommend watching it.
  2. The blind side 5/10 It wasn't a bad movie, just boring and schmoltzy as hell. Apparently Sandra bullock got.a best actress Oscar for it. She acts pretty well but god dam, how can you give an Oscar when the script has such crap like... Friend: you've changed the boys life. Bullock: no, he's changed my life. f**k off!
  3. Would agree about the fighter, great film. Bale is terrific in it. It has an awesome soundtrack too. Some of the boxing scenes aren't very well done, but they're not really what the films about and are used mainly to move the plot forward. 8/10
  4. I'm reading a book called cross country which is annoying cos whenever I look at the cover it looks like Ross County
  5. Black swan 9/10 Watched this cos I heard it had a sex scene with Natalie portman and mila kunis. Pretty much worth the 9 right there, but it was a really awesome film. Portman has got to be in with a shout for best actress, and the finale was stunning.
  6. No toilet paper or kitchen roll, found a packet of tissues tho, but the have some kind of oil on them to stop your nose from gettin fucked.....not sure how this will turn out Menthol and Eucalyptus....kinda stings
  7. Devil 6.5/10 M knight shymalananananakroyd movie that takes place mainly within an elevator (dont know why I'm not calling it a lift....guess the movie...I mean film, must be fresh in my mind) anyway, 5 ppl in a lift which goes haywire, ur left trying to work out which one is the devil. Every now and then the lights go out and they die one by one as the police try to figure it all out. It's pretty stupid really but does well to keep you guessing who the devil is, they all seem likely candidates and I kept changing my mind so failed the whodunnit game. Slow to begin, but doesn't drag on too long. Decent enough without being any more. Full of sound effects from lost too, if u like that sort of thing.
  8. I always found back door sluts 9 was the best for man trapped in a tight space
  9. Watched loads of movies recently, will go over the ones can remember. Tron 6/10 Not much in the way of plot, but it really was a joy to watch. Some nice action scenes, but its all about the effects and daft punk. Love the way they change the record in the club when the fight starts. The day the war began. 5/10 Aussie film where some teens go camping in t'bush and when they come back the asians have invaded. Cue the most unbelievable guerilla war group u will ever see in cinema. Some pretty nice stunts and the main character is hot, but its just so preposterous to see these kids fighting a war. The other guys 7/10 Found it amusing and enjoyable. Samuel Jackson and the rock make a great cop duo shame they're not in it much. Not so keen on whalberg as comedy actor tho, only funny when he's in a rage. Good will hunting 7/10 I know its a good movie but I don't like Damon affleck or Williams in it, in fact I hate all the characters. It also has the gayest show down in a bar ever where they out-intellect each other. And the its not ur fault scene. Lol. Takers 5/10 Watchable, just. Wants to be heat, is closer to gta imo. Matt Dillon is terrible and pointless in it.
  10. Harry potter 7 part 1 - 6/10 Thought it was slightly above average as films go, but only just. The kids can't act, but it helps as it makes it seem a bit more like the books and them being ordinary, except for the obvious, kids. Long film considering not very much happens and it just stays pretty true to the book (from what I can remember) so plot issues don't really lie at the filmmakers feet. Worth a watch if u like harry potter, otherwise steer clear (which I'm sure you would have anyway)
  11. I think you're grossly underestimating the effect these floods will have had on the region and people affected tbh. Still, sounds like one of those chain texts that morons send.
  12. Said it earlier think I prefer the departed to goodfellas I just love the storyline/situation of it more than goodfellas, which is also a quality movie.
  13. There's a drainage pipe on the building across the road which has been pishin out water non stop for three weeks now. It's basically the sound only version of waterboarding.
  14. Taken 6/10 Never really liked liam neeson, and the subject matter is pretty grim but there are some quality action scenes in this one man vs the sex traffic industry movie. For some reason all I could think about was the family guy joke where Harrison Ford runs around grabbing people and shoutin gimme back my family. Pulse 4/10 Suspense/thriller which had a stupid plot which had everyone killing themselves and was shot with some filter to make it look really drab and grim. Had one genuine holy f**k moment in the laundry room scene, other than that its got a hot lass in it and not much else. The bourne supremacy 5/10 Might help if I saw the first one first, but I can't really get past the shaky camera which royally pisses me off whenever its used. Again some ok action scenes, but just didn't do it for me.
  15. Been off sick so saw a few movies lately. Zombieland 7/10 Quite funny, plays on the whole zombie fantasy, what would you do if it happened. Pretty cheesy though and just felt like kick ass or superbad ya kno that kind of US comedy. Enemy at the gates 6/10 Seems like it could have been great but just wasn't believable, the actors did nothing for me. The grim reality of war really didn't come through like it does in some other war movies/series. The departed 10/10 Absolutely brilliant. So well acted, great story, very cleverly done. Interesting characters. I'd say its my fav film by scorcese
  16. Spiderman 6/10 Spidermans quite decent for a Hollywood comic movie. It's all very predictable, but it looks good and the story doesn't get too convoluted. Couple of funny bits earlier on too. It's maybe a bit long for what it is, and some of the dialogue is terrible, but I think its still pretty watchable. Most the movies I watch are from Justin tv, so that should explain the random nature of em.
  17. Machete 8/10 Two words; Aw yeeeaaahh Slightly more words: if u saw the grindhouse trailor for machete and wanted to see the whole film u won't be disappointed. if u didn't see the trailor but like violent Robert rodriguez films ull also dig it.
  18. Four lions More close to the bone humour from Chris morris this time taking on the subject of Muslim terrorism in Britain. I thought it was hilarious, also a little disturbing at times. 7.5/10 for laughs
  19. The expendables 6/10 An enjoyable romp with some.decent action scenes, but not really capturing the glory days of 80s and 90s. Stallone is just too old to be running and jumping about like that. Worth a watch if u don't want to exert yourself and enjoy action flicks. Robin Hood 7.5/10 I like ridley Scot films, felt this was well done, easy to watch and get in to. The battle scenes weren't as epic as some films, but at least it wasn't all CG battles. Thought they tried too hard to make the young king unlikeable as a result I kinda liked him. In fact the villains did seem a bit 1 dimensional, but hey there you go. Well worth a watch.
  20. Just caught wigan vs Leeds yesterday, the superleague playoffs have started. What a game! Absolutely amazing, won't give away the result, just that anyone who's remotely interested should find a replay on sky.
  21. A lass asked what fake tan my mate uses.... He's Indian.
  22. Torture should never be used, it might be effective in 24 but the reality of it ruins lives.
