Said it for ages this approach won't work and this board has strange ideas. They can take their training academy and f**k off.

Will Xavier Benjamin be our first player who's first or last name starts with X? Or even the league's first player?
Davide Xausa played at this level when it was old division 1, he's the only one I can think of though.

Depends on stipulations I suppose.
Even if there is, correct decision to keep a hold of him right now, we have no replacement at all for LWB and he'd be a catastrophic loss to McPakes preferred system.
Hopefully we're on the lookout for a replacement for this summer.
Supposedly it's Otoo's best position. Meant to be head and shoulders above everyone in training every day. Doesn't surprise me with the way Mcpake, rightly, regularly raves about him.

Rejected a 6 figure bid from Barnsley for Edwards yesterday

Has Liam Fontaine left Edinburgh City or is he injured noticed he's not been in their last couple of squads, would absolutely take him until the end of the season as a kind of replacement Bene.
Was one I've wanted in each transfer window since Mcpake arrived. He's a Protection Adviser and a PT these days though so be a no go now.

Could have got one to lay at East End.

Wonder what the script is with Josh Mcpake? Been in with Forest Green, Morton and Accies and now in with us

I’m with you, I didn’t understand how anyone thought we would have a successful season with a midfield two of Dan Pybus and Graham Dorrans. It was absolute lunacy. Dorrans especially came in injured, with a bit of an overhang of Dundee fans telling us how done he was. It just felt like yet another former old firm player on a downward spiral picking up last paydays. As it turned out to be.
I’m struggling to think of the last time we signed someone that would be termed a wow or a coup. Maybe right back to Nicky Clark? The FEB return was lauded but to be fair it probably wasn’t a coup or unexpected.
Robbie Muirhead in 2018, Nisbet in 2019 and Mcmanus in 2020

Dorrans one of many signings in 21/22 who didn't work out but the flak he took was way OTT

Pisses me off we had him on trial in 2017 and AJ played him wide left against Thistle(?) in a friendly. Joined Ayr at the end of that Summer and hasn't looked back since.

You never know, coming here could bring out the best in the lad and be the springboard he needs. I still get very slightly pissed off when I think about shankland while with us, but look at him now.
Hopefully his move to us is mutually beneficial. If the laddie bangs in the goals, the NW will come up with a wee ditty hailing him a hero. What pisses you off about his spell with us?

Chris Hamilton was a coup.

Hope he does well but I can't remember ever being as underwhelmed at a signing before. Wish we'd no bothered. Clearly skint.

QP have listed trialist #9 as "Fletcher", how long has Cardle been training at the club now?
Since November at least.

Super Joe is one of them

One of May or Chris Kane would do

If we beat Morton again do we get to keep them?

Pitch in Kirckaldy was/is £900k
Thank god football is back tomorrow! Win please.
Didn't cost Rovers 900k though

Wouldn't have costed near a mill to lay a plastic pitch.

Reading between the lines of Mcpakes pre match I reckon we're still in for Brophy.

Think you should be more concerned with where the funding for your overspending will come from if rumours surrounding your conservatory (...........ahem) sales person are true
It's a valid point he makes though?

Did you not have something like a 30% sell on fee for Nisbet, who moved on for £2Million? If that’s vanished plugging holes that’s got to be a serious concern.
Especially when the wage bill for the squad this season won't be as much as what we've had in this league prior to 2022's relegation.
