  1. His two match ban is in all competitions. Since Davies is out until mid-March at best, Meekings is out for the rest of the season and we’re only left with Kusunga and Inniss, there’s very little chance O’Dea will leave.
  2. A mind that is somehow emptier than his club’s bank balance & trophy cabinet.
  3. I see the trophy virgin is shiteing it at the idea of giving to charity. Bit rich to talk about financial sustainability when his own club drops £750k to a spam email...
  4. Hiya lads. Sorry to jump in here as a semi-lurker, but just wanted to flag up the Walking Down the Provie Road site. We launched a week or two ago and we’re basically trying to do something similar to the MFC podcast/Heart and Hand, but for the righteous club of Dundee. Dundee Barry has been very generous in providing P & B gold The Real Leigh Griffiths Blog, as well as brand new material in Dear Jocky. We’ve also got videos, playlists and articles, and our first podcast should go out this Thursday night, technology permitting. Anyway, the website is www.provieroadpod.com , twitter account is @provieroadpod and FB is www.facebook.com/provieroadpod . It’s just a small bunch of us for now, so don’t judge the rough and ready design too much, but all thoughts welcome. Except from happyaccie, you chippy, obsessed oddball. DDYB x
  5. In that case, can I just say that I think the likes of Accies and Thistle should break the bank to bring in Hateley. Fingers crossed they don’t test our resolve for Moussa in January too, as signing him for a lot of cash could save their season...
  6. Given that the last transfer window ended up with Marc Klok signing, I'm alright with nothing happening yet.
  7. Oh, and if we do sign another LB, there's no need for Danny Williams any more. Chefter, pal.
  8. If we sign Julen's compatriot, Khalid Aucho and Demeteriou, I'd hope to see Hateley leave and Curran punted out on loan. Doesn't look as if Lewis Spence will work out, and once a few of our CBs are back fit, I could foresee Waddell going on loan to the Championship to ensure he still gets game time and experience (I imagine O'Dea, Hendry and Meekings are all ahead of him in a perfect, injury-free world)
  9. Not at all - makes a nice change for somebody who's not a St Johnstone fan to post here these days.
  10. There's one guy on Twitter who appears to be from Dublin that's really not happy about this at all. He's gone full Helen Lovejoy, asking why on earth kids should be exposed to such things as rainbow flags...
  11. If St Johnstone were replacing the Perth Cremy Funeral Tea Arena or United were moving out to their spiritual home east of Dobbies I wouldn't be squatting on their threads. Just shows how box office Dundee remain to the satellite teams. [emoji41]
  12. I can't wait for the Nou Campy. Steak pie lunch in the Birky Inn and a nice walk to the game.
  13. http://dundeefc.co.uk/news/dark-blue-property-holdings-ljrh-chartered-architects-statement/ new stadium alert.
  14. Seconded. Keeping warm and keeping them telt in winter with a must have accessory.
  15. It'll be good when the schools are back. Perhaps the new dayglo obsessives on here can sign up for extra English classes so they can learn about punctuation.
  16. 3200 Premiership campaign season tickets. These dayglo interlopers will be making for the Carnoustie seas like Lord Lucan on Sunday. Thank you.
  17. I've seen a lot of United fans laughing at our ST sales. We're not the ones spunking £300+ to watch Willo Flood and Brechin all season....
  18. Maybe a run-out to test Meekings' bashed up biscuit knee....
  19. Maybe a run-out to test Meekings' bashed up biscuit knee....
  20. They had one turnstile open at the Cox when I arrived at 2.40 or so and the queue was already massive. It's probably in part a tactic to get fans into the shop and buy something at the same time as picking up/buying their ticket, but with the shop having such a wee footprint it just creates bottlenecks.
  21. Don't know if this qualifies as my first post, but given that I've posted something like six times in seven years, I'm claiming this as a rebirth. Felt prompted by the zoomers on Facebook who seem to think this is last season all over again to waffle on a bit about our signings. It's never easy to tell which signings are going to be belters and who will be the wage thieves on the basis of a handful of friendlies and two cup games, particularly when I reckon our starting XI any given week will only have four or five from last year and will need time to gel, but I've got high hopes for Kamara, Deacon and Moussa. Kamara's the quiet, industrious protection our back four's been crying out for and is the pick of the bunch for me. He's had one or two slack passes, but the fact he only got murmurs of appreciation from the usually filled-with-murderous-rage denizens of the Cox today after being subbed on was promising. Moussa seems to be a bit batshit mental and reminds me a bit of Fab Cab - maybe he'll be on Twitter in 15 years' time issuing come and get me pleas too. I'm absolutely not writing them off, but Hendry and Spence both look raw and have been prone to some baffling passing. Some of their mistakes today would've been ruthlessly punished by better teams. On the flip side, Allan's passes were peachy, but I hope and trust NM tore strips off him for the showboating that cost us possession once or twice. I think RawB93 is spot on about Holt/Kerr - I've been a wee bit disappointed in them so far, but their contribution might have to change this year if we persist with Deacon and Wolters on the wings. Wolters looks like such a streaky player to me; I think he'll have a poor run for three or four games at a time before turning it on out of nowhere. Deacon, on the other hand, reminds me a bit of Sir Greg; maybe it's the use of the arse to hold on to the ball, but he looks like a more consistent performer. Hopefully Williams and Wighton give RW a wee bit of competition out there. I'm still feeling pretty positive, despite today's anaemic performance. NM seems to have high standards and take no prisoners, and sending a rocket up them rather than trotting out the "3 points is all that matters" patter might instil a winning mentality that we haven't had for yonks. He's also got a few different ideas for systems/team selection and, despite today's bench, isn't spunking the full budget on slight, ineffectual centre mids, so he's already a hero in my eyes. Once the team gels a bit we'll be golden. P.S. John Nelms, if you're reading g this, can you install some sort of surface-to-air missile system to take out the army of seagulls at Dens? They're doing my head in.
  22. Hiya pals. I have a spare ticket going for the away end; if anybody's looking for a single ticket, DM me. Since I'm not a mercenary arsehole I'm only looking for face value (£24).
