  1. Jamie Heaslip's back injury has got the better of him, he retired today
  2. Much like before when it was the other way round [emoji6]
  3. So, to clarify, someone close-by went into the same shop?
  4. This. I've long thought the 6n shouldnt be every year and the European nations cup should have the tier one teams. More like the euros in football. RWC every 4 yrs. Nations cup every 4 yrs, 6n in the gap years. With qualifying. I mean for all I don't like the Irish fans generally, they travel in big numbers. A couple of 10000 attendances make a big difference to the very small teams.
  5. I felt Scarlett's belonged in the first category, due to the munster-esque collective w**k sky have over them. They are the least 'w**k' of the other two though, I agree.
  6. ETA No, wait, play off quarter, then semi with Leinster? To set up a Scottish final?
  7. If I'm understanding it right (probably not) if the league table finished as is, Edinburgh would keep Ulster out of the play offs then play Munster in the play off semi? For our friend; Good guys - Scottish teams, Connacht, Newport, Zebre. Wanks - Munster, Scarletts, ospreys, Leinster, Ulster. Meh - Treviso, cardiff, s. Africans Inmy humble opinion.
  8. .... There's an 'I love my family' border for your Facebook profile picture....
  9. The OS has the next home game (Munster) at MF. I also thought we were there for 3 years. It annoys me that the bigger games get moved, it's much better to be in a wee full stadium than a big empty one. The 'new stadium on the back pitches' story has probably been around 10 years now. I don't see how or why the SRU would want to fund that. The long term plan was to share with accies, not sure if it, or indeed the Raeburn place redevelopment, are still a thing. On the game, I can see a pumping on the cards tonight unfortunately

  11. It's absolutely fcuking Baltic inside there regardless!
  12. Make a pot of stovies on Sunday night. There's 3 days lunch for about 4 quid. Plus, let's be honest, stovies are the tits... When they're not made with dripping like there's a fcuking war on!
  13. Noticed this from a link on Elgin City's Twitter, I haven't found d any pictures though. "The Borough Briggs Pillbox As well as being the most northerly ground in the country, Elgin City’s Borough Briggs once boasted an unusual feature: a World War II pillbox! The pillbox was built into the banking at the Lossie Green end of the ground in 1939 and was eventually removed in 2000 when the club left the Highland League for the SFL. A photo of the pillbox can be seen in the ground’s catering booth."
  14. Do any grounds, including non-league ones, still have baths? I seem to remember playing as a youngster and they had them at Tranent? (Could be wrong it was probably 15 years ago)
  15. Loved the background screaming on on the commentary towards the end
  16. No, I'll be a polite shitebag and whine about it to internet strangers thank you very much. Quite in keeping with the thread.
  17. A work pal of mine is being vegan for a month, putting it all on Facebook and doing a fcuking blog about it. Also veganuary which is a thing. Not for what it is but that fcuking name is appalling.
  18. Just a little extra to add to that. I play in the English pyramid, fairly low down admittedly, lvl 12. It's not uncommon for teams below this level to be promoted / relegated more than one league. For example a team starting at the bottom of the Bristol and district leage (B&D 5) may win every game by an 8 goal margin as they're a new team re formed from a now defunct one.... see 'rangers'. They might be promoted 3 leagues. Likewise teams can ask to be relegated more than one league. In practical terms, if tweedmouth got relegated into the east superleage, they'd be spanked every single week. They may well wish to be at the bottom league and be more competitive. In the SOSL, I dare say many of them wouldn't want to be in the top league in the west..... someone could just ask them? the point being this is really simple stuff. It's becoming apparent that self interest by blazers is making this a lot harder than it need be. Self interest in Scottish football - shock.
  19. AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH FFS EDINBURGH
  20. Emmmm. well best get the rumour mill started; i heard a disgruntled Ross ford lit a firework in the changing room in Stuart McInally's underpants.
  21. Ah [emoji106] I think today will be another tight game. We seem to be FAIRLY consistent of late, so I suspect it'll be more to do with Glasgow's performance than ours. Having not watched much of Glasgow this year, what's the difference? Is it just not clicking or is there something more fundamental?
  22. I don't see why the Junior cup would be done away with? England has the FA trophy, teams play in that as well as the FA cup. LL, HFL, SOSL and EOSFL teams could be allowed to enter. Hell if playing local is so important, regionalise the first couple of rounds, I'm sure a team like Thornton, Edinburgh utd etc middling east junior teams wouldnt mind a Spartans / 'Shire visit. Admittedly less so a visit from Edusport. As a compromise, east juniors in the king cup? This really isn't difficult stuff. 2 up 2 down and being able to reject your promotion without fear of reprisal would surely help. I play in England a d having the pyramid is great. We're at level 13 but every amateur team and whilst everyone knows it's at least theoretically possible to get to Europe, it doesn't effect anything day to day.
  23. The teams must've swapped shirts at half time
