  1. Just watched REC 2, really scary and jumpy film, keeps it pace well and just does a simple story well. Not as good as REC 1, but still very good. Don't get this confused with the American version which is pish. 8/10

Also saw Paranormal activity 2 at work on Friday morning, really good as well, even though you know the story and subject from the first it still pulls out all the stops and new scares along the way make it really enjoyable in a horror movie kinda way. 8/10

  2. I had this for the first time in Wagamama in London this week and it was ace.

    Where in Falkirk is Somu?

Is that the place just alomg from BTW?

aye its the little noodle bar not the minging chinese two doors down. Wagamama is the bomb, love the one in Glasgow

  3. GO LEAFS GO!! Now that I am living in Scotland I am missing the NHL more than ever. Pulling a late one tonight to stay up for the Leafs game. Predicting a convincing victory over those separatist SOB's.

As a side note I went to my first Elite League game Sunday to see Edinburgh and Coventry. Was a little underwhelmed, but in the end it proved to be a decent level of hockey. Game was entertaining, and really picked up pace in the third.

You poor bugger leaving canada to come here lol, I dont think i could go without footie like you are without NHL Hockey but when i was in Vancouver for holidays 3 years ago, i went to a few Whitecaps matches and like you i was actually presently suprised about the level, they were really good sadly no atmosphere.

  4. The Clan lost 4-3 away to Newcastle last night. Next home game is on Saturday against the Hull Stingrays, and with no football you'll need something to do. :P

Im very tempted, tho iv just paid for scotland v spain and clan v Panthers match so im very much skint, i want it to.

Sounded like a very good match last night, but i feel they should be beating team like NEwcastle, who are no where near as good as they were a couple of seasons ago.

  5. It sounded Scouse, Welsh, Irish, American and Australian at various parts.

TBH Russell Crowe is my most disliked A-list actor, simply because he is a terrible actor. He manages to make Daniel Craig seem talented.

Supposedly what he was trying to do was give him a mixture, of northern, mid and southern England as well as Irish as Robin Hood traveled all over the British Isles and would dip in and out of most, but yeah dont know where the American and Australian ones came from. I think i even heard South African

  6. Yet it gets a much higher mark than Anchorman deserved as it was watchable at best. (I mean 6/10, aside from Elf has this talentless man done anything good?)

Oh god, we have a pretentious twat in our midst. f**k sake, will ferrell is a comedy god, much better than your gervais, Rudd and Carrell (tho not by much).

Freaks - WTF, I was brought up on films like that, Freaks i was shown when i was 12 by my grandad, not exactly what i call classic in any sense, yet you rip the f**k out of everyone elses choice of films, who are you, Mark "fucking" Kermode?

Went and saw Buried before work yesterday, absoloutely fantastic movie, so enthralling and never breaks pace, go and see. And finally a film where i didnt watch Ryan Reynolds and expect him to crack a joke. Go and see it. 8/10

Might go and see Other Guys today before work as im in the mood for a good comedy.

  7. chances are he's going to end up in jail.

he's about to be busted for one of the greatest frauds, sporting or otherwise, in history.

What for ? Is this about the blood transfusion doping claim. In all honesty i can see why people dont like him but i think when your at the top, your always going to be targeted by jealous others, especially a guy that came back from a 3% survival rate of cancer to win 7 Tours, he will always be speculated as to whether or not he was aided.

  8. Just finished Lance Armstrongs Its Not About the Bike: My Journey Back to Life, fantastic insight into this guys life and trials. He describes in great detail about his upbringing by a single mother, not having much when growing up and how cycling changed his life. Then he discovers he has cancer and the detail the guy goes into is unreal, some people may find it hard to read, I know i did at first but after a while you just need to know what this guy went through before he even won the first of his 7 Tour De France titles. Very funny, informative and sometimes distressing book, but worth it all to see where he ends up. 9/10

  9. Pre-season started then. I even stayed up until 2.30am watching Devils despite them leaving out most of their top players. Need to get into the swing of late nights so starting early! Could've been worse, I packed it in after the 3rd period at 3-3! 4-3 SO loss to Flyers in the end.

Two fights for Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond. I suppose you need to practice everything!

ESPN emailed me to sign up early for the online streaming again. Did it early last year for £69.99. Probably do it again as you get all the games along with the archive. In saying that it's regular season only. Probably good enough for Devils the way they flop in the 1st round of the play-offs.

Flames beat Canucks twice in one day I see. Is that normal? Not the beating them :P but the playing twice?

Lol, iv never heard of them playing twice in a day let alone the same team, it is pre season tho, mind you when i went over to Vancouver to three canucks games they were all in the space of 4 days, that was weird hell.

  10. This post makes me sad.

RE4 if you expected anything unpredictable with Anderson, you're clearly had no idea what you were getting into!

Ghost Town is truly shit though, it was passable only in the fact it was so bland and harmless that you couldn't care enough either way to give it a positive/negative mark.

Yeah i now retract my opinion of Ghost Town, I still ont thik its bad, but maybe saying it was the best film iv seen in a while was over the top, it is very bland, i rewatched it last night, some of it is very slow. stil not that bad tho. :D

  11. The first home game is a week on Friday I think, anyone thinking of going?

Im thinking of heading through, been to a fair few NHL games in the US and Canada and went to the homecoming tournament last year in edinburgh and i have to admit i was extremely scared at the what the standard of the Capitals would be, i was actually very suprised after i saw them play, the standard was very decent. sadly i cant go back the Capitals arena as im 6ft6 and it is old style seats that are not built for anyone over 14 stone and taller than 5.5ft. SO i think will head to Braehead clan matches. Also Breahead arena is a lovely little space.:D

  12. lol, I never really watched ice hockey up until 4 years ago, when my fiance was studying for a year at UBC in vancouver, i went over twice within the year, first i bought tickets to see canucks v oilers then got addicted straight away and bought tickets for another 6 matches, never been so fascinated in a sport apart from football, its speed and unpredictability just took me, even the fiance was obsessed and she hates any sport. Thats why i love the Canucks, very passionate fans. Also met Henrik Sedin at the UBC Thunderbirds Ice Hockey title decider Match. :D

  13. Resident Evil 4 3D - sadly im admitting to seeing this, even a wet shower room scene with Milla Jovavich and Ali Larter could'nt save this film, although some of the 3D parts were well done, just wasnt scary or even jumpy and very predictable. 3/10

Ghost Town - Got this on Blu Ray from Lovefilm, missed it when it was at the cinema and wanted to see it since, not a huge Gervais fan overall but for some reason i really wanted to see it, its a love story and comedy with a Gervais twist to it, nothing lovey Dovey just right, one of the best films iv seen in a the last month ( I watch a shit load of films as im a projectionist lol) - 8/10

  14. I'd be depressed too, if I was off to work in Mcdonalds for the rest of my puff.

I know i would be to, who would want that with their life? Burger King though, that's a different kettle of fish altogether, great incentives, 8p over minimum wage, nothing better in my opinion.

  15. Oh i wish i was back at uni, the days of student loans, bursaries and getting ridiculous amounts of travel expenses to buy a new TV are gone. Just finished Uni in June, graduated with a 2:1 Honours Degree in Animation and Digital Art. Damn full time work to look forward to for the rest of my life. Depressed now :(
