I would like reports from various back gardens in Ayr. How is the grass underfoot at home?
Ayr racecourses shaded bits were white frost but still soft to walk on

No frost in Ayr at all now and the rain is on

How was the overnight temperature in Ayr...is there any possibility game could be affected / called off due to frozen areas of pitch?
Below freezing all night. Cloudy now though.
At the moment it's a proper hard frost. Usually the front of the main stand freezes but the temperature is meant to go up a fair bit and it's to pour later on

The Almighty last night at the Barrowlands was absolutely superb. Place was bouncing. Was like they'd never been away and I felt like I was 19 again. The effort in putting my socks on this morning I realised I was not 19 any more.
A nice shout out too from Ricky Warwick to Shane MaGowan and Geordie Walker.
Have to agree with that. They were absolutely brilliant. Tantrum looked exactly like he did the last time I saw him with them.

We'll prove how little we've learned from previous hidings. However a late rally when Partick bring on the pie stall staff for a shot will make the scoreline 5-2

I stopped outside it earlier at the lights, it's called the blue star now. It was empty of customers when I passed. My windows were rolled up so I should be ok.
I've been to it a few times in the last couple of years. The guy that runs it now was chef at the Taj in Prestwick for about 20 years. Never had anything dodgy from them. No even their Indian menu gave me any adverse effects.

We could have each area of the team run out separately
The defence could run out to the Benny Hill theme. All dressed as Wile E Coyote as whatever they seem to try has a similar outcome to the Coyotes efforts

Btw how did that auld boy at Right Back stay on the park ?
I said that at the time. Probably because the referee had no clue what he was doing.. I was surprised everyone stayed on during the handbags scuffle after McAllister got elbowed in the face as well.
There was no needle in the first half at all but he kept giving free kicks for nothing and ignoring blatant ones.It didn't affect the result at all but seemed to annoy absolutely everyone

Raith wearing Brazil kit and we make them look like them
Every time Raith play down our left they outnumber us and find the gaps all too easily. They also look like they actually have tactics.
We've made a few chances but we'll lose a couple more if we keep switching off.

I remember being in the Sports bar inside it, wasn't it named after Maradona or something?
The Hand of God
Barmaids in Argentina tops.Think there was a full size goal somewhere with tables in it. Tacky as hell but had an excellent big screen
Didn't last long

Maybe sending dogs into the SRE is a diversionary tactic to take the heat off Bullen. Nobody talking about the absolute shitfest on the park anymore.
Everyone focused on stoning Provan on one of the diggers on the North terrace and forgetting the digger could sneak through our midfield and defence in flames at 2mph and nobody would notice while our forward line couldn't hit the digger with a shot from 2 yards.

Probably a really thick question, but how do sniffer dogs identify pyro? Drugs you could understand but unlit flares?
Same as explosives dogs at airport I'd guess.
I imagine whatever is in them like sulphur is something dogs can be trained to sniff out

Ayr (along with Annan) have now conceded the most league goals in Scotland. We have the second lowest goals scored as well.
We need to run harder and faster.
Tomi Adeloye with one touch equalled how many goals our team has scored at Somerset since the 12th of August

Do we have to fulfil this fixture? I'm not sure our players can run hard enough to win it.
If we don't turn up it's a mandatory 3-0 defeat which at the moment seems like the best score we'll get

Maybe if we chuck in a bag of footballs.
We signed a guy from Clyde in the Burley days, Think his name was either Vincent or McVicar or something for £3k and some training footballs.
Stainrod signed someone in exchange for a bag of tracksuits
Possibly Bilsland as we got him from an amateur team

Was told he’s asked to leave. Don’t think he’s the “right type of character” Bullen always seems to plug at in his interviews.
Wonder if he's who Bullen was referring to in the interview after losing at Cappielow when he mentioned something along the lines of certain players having their eyes opened

Who in the squad could we realistically let go and not replace them? The only candidates for leaving would be Ecrepont or Bryden (loan) but both would need to be replaced.
Still holding out hope for a striker on top of whatever midfielder we sign.
The midfield
We've no used it since November anyway

For all the criticism McGinty gets for his poor distribution, I’m not sure what else we expect him to do when the opposition are playing a high press and he has nothing in front of him.
Yeah I don't think McGinty was the issue yesterday. Anytime they started playing from the back Middleton,Watt,Moult and Cudjoe were pretty much pressing on our 18 yard line. McGinty was going off the head a few times. Particularly at McAllister

Watt, Moult and Middleton were dreadful
The one thing McAllister did right yesterday was constantly harass Middleton. He was always in his ear or shoving him out the way and generally annoying him. You could visibly see Middleton going in the huff as the first half went on.
Also when Tony Watt rolled about in a heap after a nothing challenge with nothing wrong with him Lewis Moult asked him what he was doing as if he hadn't rolled about Moult had nobody near him.

Oh my God guys we are absolutely shite!!!
We absolutely are.
The only positives I can draw from today are Albinson,Stanger,Jack Young and Tomlinson.
McGinty and Reading weren't great either but at least they were involved and weren't utter mince.
The rest. Well. No much to say. Offered nothing in midfield. Offered nothing going forward. Could have lost by 6 if it wasn't for DUFCs abysmal final ball. Even with Murdoch and Dempsey I wouldn't have expected any different.
Not impressed by Rose at all. However he had absolutely zero to work off.
Unless things drastically improve we're in a bottom 3 fight.

Didn't deserve to lose 3 goals... deserved to lose about 6

McInroy is a good signing.Quite often disappears in a game for ages then you notice him again when he's scored an absolute belter.

I've not seen enough of Stanger but I've been saying Dempsey isn't up to it since about October 22
