He clashed with Regardless of Me (How sensible, have two Prog Metal bands clash ) so I missed most of his set, but what I did hear seemed rather good. Seemed to have the crowd in the palm of his hand, always a good sign. However, I've never been able to get into him so I can't really comment on whether or not he was good from a fan's perspective.

They played an absolute blinder at Bloodstock this year. Even better than I expected, and expectations were pretty high! There's a professionally shot video of Down from the Unity album I'd agree that Kai Hansen was the main reason Helloween's first three albums are their best, but I think Gamma Ray's first couple of albums aren't of the same standard. Then again, when Helloween produced Pink Bubbles and Chameleon in that time, there's not a lot of competition between them. No World Order is where Gamma Ray hit their peak for me, everything since then hasn't been as good. Helloween's recent output has been consistently good, and the new album's a belter.

I take it you've never heard of Blind Guardian, Rhapsody or any other such band if you think Iron Maiden go hand in hand with WoW....
