  1. I would rather have the torries in power of even the greens, than have that shower who are there just now. So, you agree that NPD is the same as PFI?
  2. Don't let them fool you. Non Profit Distribution is PFI in all but name. A quick look at contract documents tells you that. They are just redressing the name. The best bit is that non profit distribution, actually still generates profit . All they do is take a couple of quid out to build a local play park (at the moment). In future the extra few quid they take out, will go straight back in as payment of the unitary charge...... I think Labour's point is that the SNP stopped using PFI, which delayed all the new schools for years, unnecessarily. But I don't really care about what Labour are saying. The fact remains PFI is continuing to be used because it is very worthwhile when used properly. Why doesn't Salmond just admit he was wrong and that PFI is needed?
  3. And, that is why Mr Salmond and his SNP are going to continue using the model?
  4. It's a shame you don't know what you are talking about when it comes to development and construction. PFI contracts can actually been extremely beneficial to local authorities. The problem is most people don't understand PFI/PPP/NPD. There are plenty of ways for the authorities to recoup some of the unitary charges. The added benefit of having zero financial risk is also extremely beneficial. PFI/PPP /NPD is here to stay whether you like it or not, especially in Scotland.
  5. Morrisons self service checkouts. By far the worst of all the supermarkets. Fecking useless.
  6. Prime example of why your facebook page should be set to private. People will never learn. For the record, your boss has to right to be bothered or take any action.
  7. Michael Gove is a total p***k. He didn't understand the caller's point about the hierarchy of subjects. He just kept repeatedly asking what subjects the guy wanted.
  8. Students who use survey monkey to create poor surveys which are poorly structured. And, they then expect to get a fair representation of views by posting them on P&B. Think again people, any data collected off of P&B will be misleading, it's hardly a wide enough selection of society.
  9. Students who do their final year dissertation on Scottish football related subjects. The most over used subject possible. Nothing like being original eh?
  10. Nothing like good sportsmanship eh?

  11. XBL I'm still waiting on an answer......
  12. XBL are you going to answer this or do you only answer selective questions which suit your agenda?
  13. No they didn't. This isn't just about how much snow was forecast or whether the roads were gritted and ploughed for rush hour. As I've said all along it is about how they reacted once the serious situation arose. How they dealt with the emergancy, their lack of communication, still allowing vehicles to enter the network at midday, telling the public this was first class, no collaberation between agencies....... Can you honestly say that you believe that the emergancy response was effective and efficient? If they did everything so well why are the SNP shitting it incase we get more snow tomorrow? Why don't they just come out and say we'll do the same again?
  14. Just wait until tomorrow when the cafe is flooded. Tell the stupid c**t to get their heating on next time. And make sure you have a good chuckle when the owner's greeting.
  15. Interesting. Fancy posting us a link to this? Not that I don't believe you, I'm genuinely interested.
  16. It's the constant very low temperature that is causing the problem. That four inches of snow fell on top of the snow that was already there.
  17. What an incompetent individual. "We learned lots of lessons from last year" "What did you learn?" "We ordered more grit" "What else di you learn?" "Eh....... (silence)"
  18. They hadn't even finalised their statement. They've only had 3 days to prepare it. They must be feeling the pressure.
  19. The civil contingencies should have provided people with much more information over the radio as to the rescue procedure, whether or not to abandon vehicles and what to if a serious illness/cold did occur while stranded. Setting up a helpline at 10pm is hardly an efficent procedure. Communication and relevent information puts people at ease and reasures them. The Scottish Government did not implement their civil contingencies quickly or efficiently enough. It doesn't give you much encouragement for a real "disaster" situation.
  20. The difference is that you don't deal in facts or evidence. You have nothing to substantiate your arguement and you don't even understand who is responsible for what or even the structure and remit of Transport Scotland. For those reasons you are hardly in a position to assess the situation.
  21. Tune in at 2pm to see what the incapable Stewart Stevenson says to parliament in his emergancy address. I hope he now apologises to the Met Office for his disgraceful comments and attempt to pass the buck to the forecasters. I'll give it 6 weeks max before there is a new tranpsort minister.
