What an absolutely brilliant game yesterday! Toyosi has become a super-sub. Not sure how much he's earning, but his late goal against Cowdenbeath alone, which got us through to the lat 16 of the League Cup, will surely have paid a substantial part of them. In the last four games:
- He won us a penalty at Livi.
- Scored the second against St. Johnstone.
- Scored the equaliser against Ross County.
- Won us the penalty yesterday and then scored the winner.
Part of me thinks he's earned a start. However, I think part of his success is his pace against tired legs.
The result yesterday shows the team's mentality, especially going for the winner in the 97th minute. I felt a bit for the travelling Dons fans, but ultimately it was karma for the double-touch penalty incident.
We have four tough games pre-split. I know Celtic have dropped points at home, but in reality we'll probably get nothing from that. So that leaves Kille and Motherwell away, and Hearts at home. I do think at the this time of the season, there are no easy fixtures, though. Most sides are desperately scrapping for points. Aberdeen's time-wasting, dirty tactics yesterday being a prime example.
Good post but he didn't score against the Fakes.

If Olusanya sending off for Saints v Cetlic was correct, then the 1 today was correct as well.
Celtic pen so so, Hearts pen was a joke.
Get VAR in the bin.

Fair to say that is something we don't very often but when we do, it is fucking brilliant

With the president of FIFA attending today's match to add to the former, now disgraced, president of UEFA, Michel Platini showing up to watch our game vs St. Johnstone a few years back I think it's fair to assume at this point that we are box office as f**k.
Chance for Nick Walsh and Kevin Clancy to show him just how good Scottish refs really are, and why they should be on the FIFA list

As bad as the Dons were against the Fakes, they still made and missed some excellent chances.
1st goal is really important in this league so hopefully we get it.
Also expect the away support to be smaller than their usual numbers.

I know, and everything says we should beat them. But then I think back two weeks to Livingston.
I think back to last season game against Kilmarnock

He was crying about Livingston's 'AstroTurf pitch'. Every time he mentioned Livingston he had to add on 'AstroTurf pitch'.
In fairness, everybody complain about Livy pitch.

I wonder what kettlewell will say in his 20 minute waffling session.
Likely blame the pitch

So you don't think we can make top 6 then?
Is it even possible. ? Just beat the like of Aberdeen and Hibs before the split to help our chances of top 6.

With Brophy playing 77 mins on Sat, will he even start against us if fit.
Certainly hope it is a better game than the last one that was dreadful.
Narrow 1 goal win for someone

Bringing on Butcher wasn't a good move

St Johnstone similar to Livi I’d say, little redeeming features about their play and team. Worryingly for them though it looks like Livi might be able to muster up a couple of meaningful attacks in game.
Kwon robbed by the ref and whatever idiot in the VAR booth. Mandron got the Curtis Main treatment from the ref today, was getting manhandled every header and got very little all game. It was mostly against Liam Gordon who gave us a timely reminder of how rotten he is. A modern day John Potter.
Can i surprise you and tell you Dallas was the fanny VAR man today
BBC stats saying no Fakes players touched the ball in our pen box in the 1st half
That must have been about the easiest win we will have all season.

The last Paisley Panda (and panda junior) hated more by other teams fans than any of our players.
More entertainment from him than from the games.

Fakes hopefully play as many as possible of the starting 11 that last played in Paisley to give us a chance of scoring.

Whether or not the decision was correct (I personally don't think you should be getting a penalty for that wee tiny clip if the ref doesn't give it live), Olusanya absolutely does cheat in that incident. He's rolling around as though he's in agony despite being barely touched. When you said rolling around in agony when barely touched, the name McKenzie came into my head for some reason

Hopefully Livy will still go down and go belly up so we don't ever play on that pitch again.
