  1. I do miss the days of seeing MARK HARD on Sky Sports news. He's the total opposite of Kenny- decent with the ball at his feet and can occasionally ping a worldie of a pass, but for a guy who must be near 6'3" he's abject at physical situations.
  2. oh god i hope we've got someone lined up to replace stelios because sean kelly even at this level is basically hopeless at anything physical or pace related
  3. Isle of Dogs the worst Wes Anderson film I've seen, which means its still pretty decent. Looks great, has a brilliant cast and the soundtrack is seriously good. However, the plot is seriously wafer thin. Still a fun watch. 7/10 Three Billboards out of Ebbing, Missouri Good performances from Harrelson, McDormand (when is she not good) and Rockwell but it's not quite what it's been hyped up to be. 7/10
  4. Auchinleck- the thinking man's New Cumnock.
  5. I also like how it's just us signing the same players who tend to ping around the lower levels of the top flight and upper levels of the second tier and rotate clubs, much like managers. What I've heard about both I've liked, so very happy with our business so far.
  6. I would think that's us most likely done with signings this window now, otherwise when (if) everyone gets back to health, we'll be totally overloaded with players.
  7. He's the ony player outside of Midge and Mullin that is willing to take players on either inside or outside. DKD has struggled this season as he just isn't willing to go on the outside and Midge prefers to go inside though he can go out if needed. His final ball is often rubbish but there's far worse options out wide like Stewart. And yeah, I didn't realise McManus got most of his goals at Morton while they were in League One.
  8. Having done some contracting work for the Home Office/Immigration Service a few years back, I can only confirm that they're a complete mess, with teams doing basically the same job wanting totally different infrastructure and legislation which if they think is too similar to another team's will throw a huge strop and refuse to work with it. It was an awful year dealing with that contract, so I doubt they've changed much since 2015/16.
  9. Seriously impressive amount of work put into that- more than a large amount of the Scottish media know about County. I veer from liking to hating the home kit, so I went for the simpler red away kit this season. Feels a bit less staunch.
  10. We're often seriously shy about taking shots from outside the box (Vigurs and Mullin aside), so if he can get them reasonably close to the target more often than not, I'll be happy. Transfermarket says he's a left footed right winger- can he play both sides?
  11. McManus is a weird one, he's proven he can score goals at this level but at the minute looks like he'd stick his head in a bucket of nipples and come out sucking his thumb. He's direct and has pace, so if need be he's a better option out wide than Stewart, at least.
  12. We need to stop putting square pegs in round holes. Draper is our best midfield destroyer, he's needed there for the dig he gives us.
  13. His list of signings: Lewis Toshney Martin Woods Terry Dunfield Jamie Reckord Craig Curran Cameron Burgess Marcus Fraser Darvydas Sernas Ruben Palazeulos Rafa De Vita Abdoulaye Meite Ian McShane Michael Gardyne Scott Fox Brian Graham Darren Holden Jonathan Franks Ricky Foster Andrew Davies Chris Robertson Stewart Murdoch Jackson Irvine Daniel Bachmann Gary Woods Alex Schalk James Severn Paul Quinn David Goodwillie Chris Konopka Erik Cikos Aaron McCarey Christoph Routis Kenny van der Veg Jay McEveley Tim Chow Ryan Dow Chris Burke Jason Naismith Jim O'Brien Oscar Gobern Milan Lalkovic Sean Kelly Jamie Lindsay Thomas Mikkelsen Billy Mckay Ross Draper He's better percentage wise than Adams for me in terms of hits to duds. But you'll get a fair number of both. Note: Some of these were signed twice (loans then permanent) also Midge and Irvine were here before he joined.
  14. I don't really see where Polworth would fit in our side to be honest. On his day, he's got class and can change a game and mostly bossed the 0-0 draw in Dingwall but from what I've seen can drift out of a lot of games. We really need pace in the team and Polworth isn't blessed with it.
  15. Well that's Mullin suspended now as well... Christ I need a drink.
  16. I saw Stelios in the DW gym last night doing some cycling and stretches on his legs, he looked like he was moving around fairly well, so hopefully he's not too far away from a return. I really do not want to think about Kenny at centre half, charging out of position like a drunk rushing a burger van to get the ball.
  17. I'm pleased we've now actually got a fit left back for the Queens game and a ball winner in midfield is nice as Draper will be in defence no doubt. Some wide players, please.
  18. I'd like to see how he does in an extended run a team playing him through the middle. He's reasonably quick rather than truly pacy, but has good change of pace over the first few yards and can curl them in from outside the box.
  19. He's frustrated this season. He's capable of some real class at times and is more than capable of beating a man but looks like a central attacking midfielder pushed out wide more often than not so far. Has refused to go on the outside at all, even if it means cutting in and trying to run past multiple players.
  20. What little we got to see of him definently showed promise, good on the ball and I thought he'd be pushing alongside Paton for a start in the first team.
