  1. It's interesting to see how confident some Livi supporters are about winning at Dens.  Presumably it's because Charlie Adam is injured and they're playing a newly promoted side.  Dundee really should have more points on the board rather than the two we've managed and I think Livi are in for a much tougher match than some of their supporters think.  If we play the way we can then Dundee will win although I wouldn't put it past Livi sneaking an undeserved draw or even a victory if the referee awards them a penalty.  Three in four games against us is rather a lot and two of them were very controversial.

  2. There are no easy games in the Premiership and Livi are no pushovers despite their poor start.  We are just as prone to defensive errors as Livi are and referees seem unafraid of awarding penalties against us.  We lost to a very poor Motherwell side despite dominating possession so need to start taking our chances and cutting out the defensive lapses.  I'm going for a narrow Dundee win with Livi trying to park the bus but it could just as easily go the other way.

Matty Kennedy being linked to St Mirren, we should 100% be in for him if he’s available. Kennedy, Griffiths/another striker, centrehalf and a right back in please! Robertson out on loan with McDaid and Elliot put to grass.

I'm not convinced by Elliot at full back but he could do a job at right wing back if McMullan got injured.  I personally don't like to call for players to be released as they have families to look after.  It must be difficult to be a football manager and have to tell players they are not being kept on.  Sir Matt Busby's wife said he used to come home in tears because he had to leave someone out of the side for an important game or had to let someone go.  The stress must be incredible.

I've never outright called him a beast

Funny how Griffiths hinting at nudes means he's never asked for any, but me hinting he's a beast means I'm calling him one.

As I said, defend him if you like, it's your perogative. I think it's fairly obvious what he's been up to and wouldn't want him near my club.

To me Dundee fans deserved credit for what they done to Mason a week or so ago, but the ones defending Griffiths deserve criticism for abandoning any morals this week.

We're abandoning morals because we don't agree with you and prefer the principle of innocent until proven guilty?  You seem to want things both ways.  You're innocent of calling him a rapist and a beast but he's guilty because of the way you interpreted his texts?  I think you've just proved my point.

    😂

Honestly, just admit you've no issue with him asking underage lassies for nudes because you think he's a good footballer, this complete desperation to find some excuse for him is embarrassing.

The bio section is the first thing you see on Instagram, and she also wasn't the only girl who came forward to say he'd done the same to them.

The police found no criminality and I prefer to accept their findings rather than yours.  It doesn't mean I have no issue with such behaviour just prefer to be evidence led rather than make ridiculous statements about Griffiths such as:

"Doesn't matter if you're a rapist or a beast, if you score goals for a football club you get a free pass and we'll get your name printed on our child's shirt.  Mental how willing folk are to ignore some serious offences simply because someone is good at kicking a ball for an hour every 7 days."

You suggested Griffiths is a rapist or a beast based on texts the police decided bore no criminality.  Unbelievable!

Im 100% not saying he's a rapist, at all.

She plays for Hearts youth side, something she had written on her profile. I've absolutely no idea why people are pretending he thought she was any sort of appropriate age.

Do you know for certain he had read her profile?  You are now alleging those of us willing to give him the benefit of the doubt are somehow pretending he didn't know.  Are you a QAnon follower by any chance?

He sent these messages to a 15yo girl after she'd spent all day posting photos of herself clothed.

You tell me what you think he was wanting?

None of it is alleged, he admitted to sending the messages above, but just claimed he was asking for more photos (despite the fact she seemingly put a photo of herself up almost daily), and there was no way to prove he actually wanted nudes.

Do you know for certain he knew her age?  As Mr Ali said, he stopped texting when he found out how old she was.  Innocent until proven guilty.

And so it finally gets said.

Doesn't matter if you're a rapist or a beast, if you score goals for a football club you get a free pass and we'll get your name printed on our child's shirt.

Mental how willing folk are to ignore some serious offences simply because someone is good at kicking a ball for an hour every 7 days.

What serious offence has Leigh Griffiths committed exactly?  He's now a rapist or a beast because someone alleged he sent an inappropriate text?  This is getting ridiculous.  I wouldn't want us to sign a rapist or a beast just because they are good at football and never suggested so.

This isn’t a court of law, though.

Griffiths also told an Edinburgh lad to “go back to your own country”, lest we forget.

He’s also incapable of keeping himself in shape.

There’s any number of reasons to go absolutely nowhere near him - the lack of prosecution is a red herring.

Cannigia turned out okay and he was a convicted drug user.  I think McPake will know the situation and Leigh's fitness levels better than us.  The police decided there was no criminality.  Man United have just signed Christiano Ronaldo who was accused of far more serious offences than Leigh and he is in the papers far more often.  It's footballers we are trying to sign, not police officers or teachers.

  10. Leigh Griffiths has not been convicted of an offence.  An allegation was made and it was all stirred up by the newspapers.  In this country we used to operate under a principle called innocent until proven guilty.  Social media and the press seem to operate under a different principle of guilty until proven innocent.  An allegation is not evidence of anything.

It's a risky signing in terms of the likelihood of similar allegations appearing in newspapers but then they are hardly paragons of virtue themselves.  If McPake wants Leigh and he is fit to play then I am happy to give him the benefit of the doubt.  Innocent until proven guilty after all.

  11. As an outsider looking in I feel St Johnstone's success last season was built mainly on hard graft and not giving the opposition much time on the ball.  Maybe that's the wrong perception but if it's true then it would be difficult to successfully adopt that kind of game plan when you are playing two games a week.   I suppose that's why you lost to a pretty average United side and just couldn't hit the heights you needed to against LASK.  I think your players looked knackered second half.  I expect you will get back to winning ways when you are playing less games.

Greg Stewart reportedly away to sign for a team in the Indian Super League

The slower pace will suit his style of play.  He never did like to run about very much.  I pity the poor right back who will have to do all the hard graft though.  He scored a lot of vital goals for us but I do wonder how many goals we lost because he either didn't bother tracking back or gave a defender too much time to hit a long pass.  I much prefer strikers who give defenders a hard time no matter who is in possession.

  13. Shouting and swearing and singing abusive songs in front of wee lads and lasses is deplorable behaviour and yet if you dare to say anything about it to those responsible you're the one who is in the wrong.  I think alcohol consumption before games has a lot to do with it.  Drinks in wits oot so to speak.  The same folk would be up in arms if it was directed at their own family members.

There’s worse.  The last couple of seasons we’ve had guys sitting behind us in the upper Eddie Thompson who seem disinterested in the football and spend extended periods talking about holidays, mortgages and lots of other non-football related stuff.

They also seem to know nothing about the game or who the players are.  They’d be better meeting up in the pub.

Sounds like a typical United supporter to me.  Knows nothing about the game.  Only kidding lol

I get them after a donner kebab.

This reminds me of when I met a young guy eating a donner kebab about 3.00am one Sunday morning when I was on night shift and we got chatting.  He told me he was on his way to a lecture.  I asked him who on earth would be giving lectures at that time on a Sunday morning?

    He replied, 'My mum'.

Alternatively, handsome Sir Greg of the Clan Stewart may already be shitting himself with the signing delay.

FC Barcelona have just announced Lionel Messi has left the club and Dimitar Berbatov is down to 20 cigs/day which is to celebrate turning 40.

Hopefully someone is keeping an eye on the lounge in the Apex Hotel, lol.

Maybe Claudio Cannigia has had a word with Lionel Messi and he will be announced as Dundee's marquee signing in the next couple of days.  lol

McMullan was a very frustrating player for us.  Got himself into decent positions but his crosses where invariably rubbish; he certainly seems to be doing better for Dundee.

He got severely criticized for his crossing at Tannadice and it affected his confidence when he got into good positions.  McPake told him not to worry about it and his crossing got better.  Just a different managerial style but it seems to have worked for him.
