Thought that it was Alex Penman's workforce doing the ground up.

What happened to John Sim's statement that we don't need to sell, was that just pulling the wool over the supporters eyes. Or was this desicion taken without consultation.

Who are they trying to offload on us, tell them tae GTF. We need all our good players not somebodies cast offs. As Mr Sim said we need to develop our own good players not for anyone else but for us.

An interesting article in the East Fife programme from Saturday dealt with home attendances for league one. After two home games Rovers top the table with 3214. Next is Alloa with 1622 for two league games. East fife were last with 589 for one home game but if you add 1800 or so to their total they will probably jump to 3rd or 4th. I tried to get the official attendances for this weekend but was unable to do so. What I take from it is that Alloa and East Fife will not get bigger crowds for their league games unless they are playing a successful Rovers side.

Pillans rolls when it was the real Pillans (no these fly by night creamery boys) were the best rolls in Kirkcaldy, Dysart store cabins were to die for. Johnny Parks ingin pies were the best. Pathead store paste pies were wonderful the nickies from there were delicious and the apple turnovers with fresh cream oh fantastic. The Green Cockatoo on the High Street in the restraunt up the stairs with the cake racks and the rolls filled with scrambled egg and water cress. The fresh cream merangues, the cream cakes, scones and whatever. Never see them again sadly I suppose that's progress.

Zen Archer a Paris Bun is a sweet bun with fruit eg sultanas in it and sugar nibs spread on top. A frog is just a tarted up French fancy or are they different in Inverkeithing.

L.Brilliant wheelchair access is at the railway end of the South Stand and the area within the ground is the front of the stand. You may get blocked by stewards but only at half-time and full time as they tend to stay around the access area from the concourse. You have to purchase your entry ticket from the office I am not sure who pays what or how much the charge is, perhaps someone else on here can give you these details. Hope this helps and if you are there enjoy the game.

The home end is around 800 I think, not sure about the Keytech side. Used to be a steward in the railway stand when it was the Rovers supporters that did it pre Rock Steady. New most of the regulars by name, never any problems until we played the terrible twins.

There people who don't go to Rovers games because it's all seating so I think you are maybe a wee bit wrong with your observation.

Yes appears to have good ideas, liked the comment about changing ends at half-time wish it could happen again. Standing areas please and let us back into the Railway stand.

DAFC how could you critise people cheating the club out of money after what they did to people. You should sit quietly in a corner and not stir up the hornets nest.

If it still fits I will be wearing Tom Houston's jersey from the Murray McDermott remebrance game a few seasons ago. A yellow away strip still has the blood and snotters on it.

For what it's worth yes I would like to see Rovers dominate games more but if the push came to the shove I would take scabby 1-0 victories all season. We do not have a big squad and it's understandable that we will struggle in games but this is where the support is supposed to come in and encourage the players for that little bit more effort. We have a quiet home support little or no vocal encouragement which is a great pity. How do we change this I have no idea get the trumpet player back, some drums behind the goals, give out song sheets . Put a standing area down behind the goals which might encourage people. Anyway we need a bit more encouragement from the terrace.

I thought Rossco had a good game defensively as well last night. Got a few good blocking tackles in. Robertson was definately missed tonight, young Berry played well but lacking in experience and not quite street wise enough but that will come.

Being a rainy crap day and I was bored I started looking at some old programmes and came across a East Fife v Rovers from March 2009. It had all the league attendances for each club.
Team Played Total Highest Average
Raith Rovers 13 26,759 4,812 2,058
Ayr 13 17,693 2,368 1,361
East Fife 12 10,386 1,980 866
These are the top three the Rovers highest and the East Fife highest league crowds were when the two played each other. Not sure about the Ayr highest total.
The things you do when your retired and it's a crap day outside. Anyway sorry to have bored all of you.

A wee rumour doing the rounds, Alex Penman has offered to do the hospitality area's in Starks Park for a seat on the board. Don't know how accurate this is but as is said, there is no smoke without fire.
