Maybe turn this round a bit.

The reason why I mention the top Division sides fans is they'd very quickly cry foul on here.

Btw, respect to the Shotts Bon Accord blazer who gave the game away where the secret lavvies are and how the licence would get the green light.

Paul Daniels would be proud of the smoke and mirrors these guys conjure up.

To be fair to the Shotts Bon Accord blazer. He picks games at random and goes and watches and is not connected in any way to the club but is made more than welcome when he is there and always buys 2 cans of Diet Coke. I’m more than sure the guys who run Gartcairn will know better than others what they do and don’t need and sure it will be addressed.

There’s no chance of Clydebank ever playing in the Junior Cup.

They can’t wait to get away from the Junior dinosaurs who are now infesting the WoSFL management committee.

I really don’t know why most clubs in the WoSFL don’t just go back and set up the West Juniors again. The set up they are in now was never meant for the majority of them.

I think that comment is very poor to all the management team currently running the Wosfl and of which the head honcho is a Clydebank man. Whether you like it or not these guys were all voted in by the clubs to run the new set up which looked to be the new promised land and is now being shunned by people higher up in authority of the governing body and placing obstacles in the way at every opportunity. My gut feeling is that a man from Alloa is responsible for a lot of it and very much against a proper pyramid system within the Scottish league structure. Unfortunately for us all he looks very much being the head honcho shortly. Our clubs have been royally shafted by those above and my fear is it will get worse in the future to protect themselves and there will be more and more obstacles placed in the way. The conference vote might be closer than we think and it could mean another season in the lowland league for them while the powers to be get back round the table to put a new workable system in place. Never mind the red herring of having a better pathway for under 21’s to reach the seniors.

  3. They say there is not enough challenges in the Lowland league for progression for the Colt teams. Make them start at the bottom and work there way up through the ranks with proper promotion and relegation within a correct pyramid system and also extended the development league age limit to under 23 to allow for better preparation for the first team. After the 20’s some clubs lose their players to the Amateurs where if under 23’s who help solve that pathway and still be able to play with under 23’s and first team to gain experience

  4. It’s a pure and utter shit show that ain’t going to improve unfortunately as you are fed more and more tripe on a weekly basis that nothing has been decided. They are trying to sell it saying there will be no promotion for the b teams let’s wait and see what happens. They say they will be better challenges in the conference league without being disrespectful what does that say about the second and first division then they are worse ? I don’t think so. Next up they will be selling Hampden and lesser Hampden will be Scotlands new base going forward to allow another team play there if results go there way

I'm just home after a very long day, filled with nerves, frustration and ultimate relief and exhilaration. 🙂 I'm exhausted to be honest, but thought I'd just check in on here.

The best point of today was to see how much the win meant to so many people, especially some of our older supporters who perhaps thought they'd never see us get to the Scottish Junior Cup Final again. There were lots of teary eyes after the penalty shoot-out.

Can we win the final ? Of course we can, but at the moment I don't really care, that's for a few weeks from now. We'll just enjoy today for now. 🏁⚽🏆❤️

Congratulations to all at Rutherglen Glencairn on their win yesterday. Unfortunately there had to be a loser and thought East Craigie were very unlucky in the first half with Glens keeper having a couple of very good saves. As you say that win probably meant a lot to a lot of Glens men Alex Forbes and Wullie Harvey and his sidekick Joe  who have been around a while. Well done guys

  6. Maybe they have decided they are better off playing in the league they are currently in given the new proposal for league reconstruction. It’s probably fair to say that our current leagues are better supported and more local than what they could possibly move into and being a licensed club you can still enter the big Scottish for maybe a wee pay day back and forward until that set up changes too

  7. Will go ahead next season 24/25 without any shadow of a doubt if not before. The colt teams will buy their way back in to the lowland league for another season if they don’t accept conference league starting season 23/24. It’s all becoming rather predictable and was my fear when the new set up was being implemented a couple of seasons ago. There is very much a lot of self interest with no intent to have a proper pyramid system in place unfortunately

A good match secretary is worth their weight in gold - however you'd expect Josh to be able to tell you who he's played for and then do a check ...

Who knows mate the question was asked and maybe the wrong information was given regarding the player being able to play. It has happened already this season in the case of a suspension very intriguing indeed

That lineup shows how far this cup has fallen in recent years. Shame, but time it was put on the scrap heap

Don’t talk pish. The line up as it was today was because some of the bigger teams never got through their earlier games. I’m sure some of them would still be in it if they played well enough. It’s the luck of the draw and who turns up on the day. There is more money in the junior cup than the south challenge cup and in my opinion is a better cup and better financial rewards. Darvel opted back in this season. Football is all about opinions but after seeing how things have worked out over the last 2 seasons I would prefer the Junior cup to the South challenge cup but that is my preference

We have sold nearly 2200 tickets, that will sell out today.

As club we really appreciate everyone who has a bought a ticket to support us.

We have more than 200 fans at home games I can assure you, but that doesn’t that matter. Success isn’t judged on the number of fans you have, but I suppose it’s an easy compare us to Auchinleck and criticise.

Let’s be honest tho they are the benchmark for a community supported club, not just at our level several levels above. They a model of excellence for lower league clubs, I have so much respect and admiration for everything they stand for, something we will all strive to become.

But we need to find out own way, if we can be successful we can grow the fan base, on the of games like Monday it generates more exposure to grow that fan base and generate significant income and more commercial sponsorship.

Mick you are 100% in your comments regarding The Talbot are the benchmark for us all and what we all strive to achieve where we possibly can . Every clu goes through phases and have ups and does that will not change it’s how you bounce back after an upset. There is also no doubt the Darvel are on the road up also despite what many might think and most would swap their position to be where you are in tomorrow nights game if not r they are lying. I know how much professionalism that you are trying to implement into the club and raising the bar higher and the profile for our grade of football all helps. Good luck o you all tomorrow night and no matter the result as a prominent Talbot man said to me after a very famous victory which always sticks in my mind to this day. Boys enjoy your night and saviour the occasion. Good luck to you all

  11. The sfa issue a list of player suspensions if your name is on it no matter who you played for well your suspended it’s the SFA who administer the suspensions. I just can’t understand why a club should find the need to keep checking a players suspension they know who is suspended because it’s under the wrong team. It’s still the same player no matter who he played with or now plays with. Also when it’s being suggested to you to cancel a suspended players registration to play as a trialist as suspension doesn’t count as a trialist and resign him later I think that says it all

He’s certainly signed for them,he was their captain, but I don’t think we should be looking at ways to bend the rules, has trust gone out of the window is it win at all costs, even if it is cheating

Think you will find he did not sign for them before Saturday. He certainly wasn’t a signed player for them last night when I checked

Shotts bottle has well and truly crashed.  We played poorly against Burgh and scraped a draw, Shotts were beaten by them. We weren't in sparkling form against Whitletts yesterday but took full points from a very difficult game.

Arthurlie have been relentless this season, the only game I feel they let themselves down was against Rob Roy as we didn't play anywhere near our real form. That isn't a complaint as most of us placed more importance on the league.

The management, committee and players have worked extremely hard for this and it's going to be a massive relief when we finally get over the line.

Not so sure about the bottle crashed comment but I think the fact that Shotts lost both matches  to Arthurlie and the fact that as a testament to them they were that relentless in their challenge for winning the league that more less always made it more difficult to overcome and fair play to them for doing so and congratulations to all when it is finally confirmed

Shotts brought on Derek Barnes when Johnny Murdoch was sent-off but he wasn't listed as a substitute. Surely that isn't right?

I know the referee was a bit card happy and he didn’t get much help from one of his assistants but do you honestly think that he would have allowed Derek Barnes to come on if he wasn’t listed as a substitute. Maybe it just wasn’t written up on the board listed?

Hearing that it was all the referee’s fault from the Shotts Facebook page, I’ll take that with a pinch of salt though! Seems to be the usual reaction to a defeat from them…

I was at Craighead, not as one sided as the scoreline suggests but Gow were the better team and a lot more clinical. Bellshill showed signs of being decent but got shown up by the more experienced team at this level

Usual reaction ? Not sure where that comes from. Penalty given today was never a penalty and if the facts are correct I believe it is the 9 th or 10 th penalty that that player has got his team awarded this season. Before somebody jumps on the bandwagon I’m not saying the player dives or goes down easily as it is the referee who gives the decision. Arthurlie could have a penalty awarded before the one they did get but some you get and some you don’t. Overall Arthurlie deserved their so no usual reaction from us

To be fair I think the referee was poor for both sides. He missed 2 penalties for Arthurlie before awarding the 3rd shout which I thought was soft.  It was good to have a really atmosphere back at Dunterlie. Hope it can continue.

Arthurlie had more of the chances and probably deserved the win overall to be fair but the decision to award the penalty that he gave was never a penalty although to be fair there was a defo penalty before this that the ref never gave and that probably made his mind up to give that one which was defo wrong. Ref made poor decisions for both sides but prob didn’t influence the overall result
