  1. Two sleeps until The Fitbaw returns.   Hurrah.

Heard from a couple of sources about some definite new signings, some likely signings and a most welcome loan deal.  Hopefully the club announces these soon.

Lots of players just now without clubs hawking their wares around the clubs.  I am confident Hunter and the BU's will sort the wheat from the chaff.

  2. McArthur started well at the BU's and looked a class signing.   Injury affected him for a while and towards the end fell out of favour as he had indicated that he was heading to pastures new but overall he is a good player.

His over confidence leads to him trying to dribble out of trouble when the correct play is a big hoof up or out the park.

Usually played centrehalf for us but personally I think right back is his best position.

Do you know if lowland league teams enter from round 1 in the scc?

It is "all in" so expect about half of the 16 Lowland League teams (No B's  allowed) to be in the First Round.

Last season -Round 1 involved 70 teams in 35 games .

If my arithmetic is correct 93 teams got a bye in round 1.

    Round 2 is 64 games (128 teams)

Daily Record reporting EK signing Reegan Mimnaugh ex Hamilton access and QoS.

It has been a long day, I give up tell us who you have reportedly signed ??  I assume Reegan Mimnaugh is an anagram.  Surely no parent would name their child that !!!

Potentially Idol and players training for weeks without a game if get to a final.  What could go wrong.

With the strength of the WoSFL top divisions the chances of the BU's getting to a final are very small.

I honestly don't think we will need to worry about being idle for 6 weeks.

  6. If our Scottish Junior Cup run turns out to be several home victories v some of the bigger West teams and progress to the last 8 then it will be seen as a great decision.

If it is a couple of away trips to smaller clubs followed by a defeat v a tier 8 team then it will be a feckin disaster .

    The Fitbaw gods will decide.

I can’t imagine the LL will displace league games on a Saturday for the Junior Cup.

The closing date for guest clubs in the wee Scottish was yesterday.  If the BU 's are the only LL team who applied we could have a problem.

Let's wait and see what transpires.

Don't worry the Athletic express will be along soon to takeover Newtown and be the main team in the town.  BU dying, can't even manage a supporters club.  Only a matter of time now.

Rosey, even by your incredibly poor standards that is absolute drivel.

E minus :- must do better.

  9. Several posts today (on the old thread !!!!) following the announcement that the BU's will be in The Junior Cup this year.

It's a big YAHOO from me as it will (hopefully) mean some extra games........and for me that's the bottom line on should we/shouldn't we.

Hopefully other LL and East Clubs will fancy it as well.

I just watched the Reform Party's party election broadcast on STV.

It was quite possibly the shittest thing ever.

It was silent, just a black screen with "Britian is Broken. Britain needs Reform."

This went on for at least five minutes.

Nothing about what is broken or what can be reformed.

Absolute dog shit. Is that seriously the best that they can do?

Is it the best they can do ?  Doesn't matter if it is or isn't.  Reform will split the Tory vote and the Tories will take an absolute battering.  #HappyDays

  11. I was not there but I spoke to someone who was.   In short they couldn't get volunteers for a committee.

It had been a well run bus over the years thanks to the hard work and efforts of the previous committee members. A big Thank You to them all.

  12. I reckon £10 will be fairly typical across the Lowland League.   BU's were £8 last season but I reckon they will be bumping it to a tenner for this season.

  13. The BU's started their preseason training yesterday according to their Facebook page.  Teasing us that announcements regarding new signings are coming.

Less than 3 weeks until our first friendly.  Cannot wait.......its been too long.

  14. The manager can only do so much with the calibre of players that are currently available.  He sets up the formation and gives basic instructions but tactically there's a limit on what he can do.

The back 5 were 10 yards too deep.  Our middle 4 were in a line too far from our defence trying to block passes down the middle of the pitch.  Was it Clarke's intention to encourage the Germans to play down the sides  of our midfield ?.....if it was then that is bonkers.
