5 trophies in 12 months - clearly lessons can also be learned from how they are doing things.

As for a pop up plaything are they any different from many teams currently in LL founded on similar ideals opposed to the past where a club was a representative of a town.

Happy with how we are at BU .

Money getting pumped in to BA will have its limit and at some point they will descend just as fast as they have ascended .

Sorry to see Musa leave. Hope he signs for a club higher up the pyramid.

Dalziel loved playing on a Saturday but at 39 his legs are gone.

McArthur a decent player but not going to be a big loss.

Yip , agree with all that

Very valid point of view, and for the club probably the best way to look at it. A second place finish compared with last season was fantastic. Ambition to build on this is to be applauded. From a personal point of view I don’t want to spend at least 4 hours travelling to games. Moving up a league will require a huge increase in up front expenditure that cannot guarantee a return, and I don’t know where the money will come from. But what ever happens I’ll still be there.

Bonnyrigg seem to have increased crowds in Divi 2 .

Average of 700 odd per home game at the second division rates will bring in a fair bit of cash , money we can only dream about .

So its a question of can we increase crowds to that level ?

There was a “plan”, several years ago to build a new ground on the old shirt factory site. I think it fell through as it relied on the sale of Newtown for building. It’s just a matter of time waiting until I win the Euromillions. Would probably help if I buy a ticket.

Think it was at Crawfield , where houses were to to built also as part of deal , nothing happened .

Now the houses will be built with no football park .

People of Bo’ness lose out again .

Assuming the pitch is ok (and the floodlights are 300lux) then it's only a few things needed to go from entry to a bronze ground, which are surely achievable?

    5.8 Dressing Rooms
Match officials room with space for 5 instead of 4
5.13 Spectator Areas Cover for home and away fans
5.13 Spectator Areas Cover for 500 (up from 100) from 2025 100 of these must be seated
5.15 Provision for Disabled Spectators Appoint a disability access officer
5.15 Provision for Disabled Spectators No sightline obstructions
5.15 Provision for Disabled Spectators PA adjacent seating from 2025 a covered area with 4+ wheelchair spaces

But 300 lux lights are not in place and my understanding c from someone that works on the industry is that it’s not as simple as changing the light bulbs .

Possible changes to pylons etc so a substantial cost .

The other things you mention as in 100 seats doesn’t come cheap either and as I say all for something that may never happen .

Unfortunately, the NPA do not care for upgrading the ground.  They see it as a community facility not a football one, ignoring the fact that 99.9% of current activities are football.

I was thinking about this , upgrade to 300 lux lights , more covered area , doctor etc , would be 10s of thousands of pounds .

All this on a pipe dream which most fans don’t want anyway .

Where would NPA get that money from .

Could take many years to be in a position to go up and by that time the goalposts will have moved again , costing more money .

With SFA and SPFL the goals certainly do move !!

My suggestion would be for the 2 clubs to finance along with NPA .

Have you any other suggestions ?

Agree Scott Dalziel doesn't get enough goals but the BU's play a lot better with him in the team.  If only he was 15 years younger ....,...

Yes , pity , but in reality the big man is done at that level .

He had already went down the leagues to Armadale .

He has done well for us but not going to bother a lot of centre half’s .

We need a striker that’ll give us 4 goals next season , lol .

Outside of Kirk there basically isn't a consistent scorer in the division which is remarkable.

You’ll have to extend that table to see arguably our main striker , think he has 3 goals .

Well I can assure you that’s not how BU have played all year, but the “punt and run” tactic somewhat did the job yesterday. Horses for courses etc…

Totally agree with this. I mean I’m all for having “ultras” in the sense of adding a bit of atmosphere at games, the Ultras 1876 have been fantastic at the Falkirk stadium this year for example. However, the type that turned up “representing” Linlithgow yesterday all blacked out with their faces covered up are the utter dregs - Nothing but thick moronic halfwits, shitebags and cowards.

Think we should leave it to our rivals to sort that out , we too have had our share in the past .

Was across the park from BU young yins , but they seemed to be enjoying and behaving .

  10. Best team won , playing against a right whinging lot .

Their manager has certainly set a standard there .

By the way , what the hell has happened to that pitch , never seen it so bad , maybe better spending some of the extra gate money they take compared to us to buy some grass treatment .

    "Never a penalty"

"Bo;ness had nothing to play for"

    Mikey is raging 😂

Sometimes its better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you’re an idiot than to open it and remove any doubt .

  12. Will be interested to see the first penalty on highlights as although it looked a stick on , Musa’s objections to the referee would suggest otherwise .

Not a player that would normally remonstrate that much .

Did the player run into goalkeeper ? We will see .

Otherwise , it was a decent display with a limited squad against what are a difficult team to beat normally .

After the disastrous Max era when we blew hot and cold due to constant tinkering Hunts & Michael have been a breath of fresh air. Sure there will be bumps along the way but they obviously have made plans already for next season.

Yet many on here defended Max to the max so to speak .

    Not I though .

You can please some of the players some of the time but not all of the players all of the time. From what I hear the dressing room is a happy place compared to what was apparently a toxic one under Max. Hunts and Michael have put together a decent squad which is proving itself, as shows from their league position. Using ex-players to scout for player to fit in to squad added to the management team getting some current players extending contracts can only improve team. Sending players out on loan for game time isn’t as sign of an unhappy dressing just a Manager doing his job.

Agree , an excellent job bearing in mind thrown in just as season going to start .

No revolving door this season which has been a big bonus .

As I’ve said before some excellent games to watch this term against some crap previous 2 seasons .

    Keep it up guys .

  15. Well done guys , excellent turn around ..

We do make it hard for ourselves on a regular basis though .

    Is McLean away ?

We seem to think a striker is required but the league doesn’t lie and only 6 teams have conceded more than us , food for thought .

Not convinced about what? That you're a slavering prat!???....

If you mean the pitch then I can assure you that it was playable as the 20 or so volunteers who worked hard to make it so would testify.

Typically now that snow has stopped it looks playable, but terraces would need cleared of the snow.

Touchy touchy , just because you’ve missed a decent pay day , enjoy the pies .
