Mine hasn't been setup and and this time of day don't have much hope of getting it now. I'll be requesting my refund from last season now as compensation -

No email yet. Tried logging using last season's account. It no longer exists. Sensing the usual Falkirk admin fiasco -

In general, verbal communication refers to our use of words while nonverbal communication refers to communication that occurs through means other than words, such as body language, gestures, and silence -

What right does anybody have to verbally abuse another person? -

Alex Ferguson, Brian Clough and Harry Redknapp all signed their sons. It seems to me that some folks are being blinded to a signings ability based purely on the fact they have developed hatred for his father and not on any actual evidence of him playing. A man should be allowed to do his job with dignity and not be abused by folks who have limited knowledge of the day to day running within the club. I ask how many of the folks in here who shoot their mouths of at our board have actually taken the opportunity to use the supplied email and contact them directly? Or is it easier to hide behind the anonymity of an online username. While you may not agree with signings, strategy etc, you have absolutely no right to verbally abuse another person behind their back. -

I think it would be better to say more investment off the pitch than on it. -

League One first team squad sizes: Montrose - 23 Peterhead - 19 Cove Rangers - 18 East Fife - 17 Falkirk - 16 Dumbarton - 16 Alloa Athletic - 21 Clyde - 21 Airdrie - 18 Queens Park - 21 Now while being selective and focused on signing the correct players is key, we are a week from our first competitive games and we only have 16 players. Some of these, as was admitted in Sheerin's last interview, are carrying knocks. Also, our rivals have some form of development or youth teams in place to supplement the first team bench if needed in a emergency. We have 16 players. Period!!! i think a time of action and clarity is needed from the club. 1300 season tickets have been sold and after our recent farces, they will be demanding something on the pitch. While it is good to see the only headlines are about Sammy's first day in his new job, unless he is about to come out of retirement and pull in a jersey, I believe the fans that have put their hands into their pockets and bought season tickets, or even to encourage those still on the fence, need to see that we are building a squad that can delivery the league title, nothing less will suffice, and are doing that now. I gets a bit repetitive hearing the same canned statements that 'We are working hard' and 'are looking to sign the right player's over and over again. Will we get to the eve of the season and start giving deals to players until January just to pack out the squad somewhat? Surely that is not part of the new vision. The fans needs to hear news and hear it now. -

If you look at US sports, their back office staff are vast in relation to the playing staff. I'm sure we will need a vice president of plastic pitch technology or director of player relations -

Why don't we all go and support The Rangers? They win every week, concede few goals and have loads of goalscoring forwards. Sounds like what the cynics in here are looking for. Games on TV most weeks too. -

The thing about a proven goalscorer is that they once had no goals to their name. A proven goalscorer costs money. A talented forward at the start of their career does not. Think Daryll Duffy. -

Rules for rebuilding a team as applied by our US cousins. 1. Assess coaches and act accordingly. Tick. 2. Shed salary. Tick. 3. Trade / release high earners even if the return is poor and not for the long run. Tick. 4. Look to begin acquiring core players who are to be part of the squad for the longer term. Targets should be scouted extremely well. Tick. 5. Add a strong defensive presence. Teams that rely solely on offense do not win. Tick. 6. Be smart when signing frees. Look for value, not the best players which are expensive. Look to fill specific roles. Tick. 7. Contracts should be structured with the aim to reward late in the contract to intensity later performance during the contract. Tick. 8. Fill out the squad as needed. On-going. From reading the list of achievements since the takeover, this is exactly the model being followed. While there may be 'better' frees available, they are expensive and do not give as good a return for your spending. Yes, we could have signed Vigurs and Draper like Ross County did but they offer less value that the likes of Ross et al. i also wonder how many clubs in our league are using scouting software to put metrics to potential signings? While most on here don't rate Seb Ross as a signing, clearly the numbers on him have suggested something. He has also been watched at least 3 times so there is a human factor to Back up the metric. while not quite the Brentford model, we are Moneyball-ing our football now. -

John Robertson has been playing for Leith Athletic in the LEAFA league. I spoke to one of the managers in that league and he says he is a class act that scores for fun -

Must say i would much rather give two of three year deals to young and hungry signings who we could maybe sell on than I would giving three year deals to a 32 and 33 year old who likely but the hand off being offered such a long deal at their age. There is no incentive for them to oerfor. Take the payday for three years then move into coaching. At least with some younger players like we have signed they have the 9009455 to play for a move to a bigger club. -

Agreed to terms is we agreed with Cove to take over the players contract for the remainder of his contract, 1 year. In turn, Cove waive their right to a fee and in doing so get him off their books. If the player did not ask for a move, he would have been entitled to a settlement fee as Cove would be breaching his contract. However, Falkirk agree with the player that if he waived his right to compensation from Cove and signs for them, he gets an extra year added to his contract. In doing thusr, it costs Cove nothing to get him off their salary, and it costs Falkirk no transfer fee. If he turns out to be a star and somebody wants to sign him at season end, we get a fee. If not, he is ours for another season. That's the only gamble we have.
