I've just plundered Willie Hills online! The Carlsberg Cup final, Sporting Lisbon v Benfica, is on just now and they had betlive up for it. Problem is, their clock didn't stop at half time, so with 15 minutes left and Sporting 1-0 up they offered odds of 4/1 on Over 1.5 Goals - the remaining £30 or so was pumped on, and Reyes duly dispatched a penalty for Benfica with 10 mins left! Betlive seems to mysteriously have frozen now, and isn't offering odds on anything - I suspect I wasn't the only one! The winnings have already been withdrawn, just in case!

...Cue a different winner, a 25/1 placer and you guys' horse coming 3rd! Mare!

Sod's law, a 16/1 outsider will win it now! Fingers crossed though.

Just spotted all this chat... I've got a single on Silvanus at 6/1, as I thought Incomparable was on too high a mark...we'll see!

I really like the look of Otarie in the 3.05 at Worcester. Choc Thornton on board, which is no bad thing, and is a progressive mare with more to come. Like his chances. On Sir Gerry - Racing Post Spotlight: Stamped himself as one of best 6f 2yos around last year when taking Gimcrack with fine turn of foot but miles below form in Middle Park and Greenham (not beaten by longer trip) since; sure he is a sprinter but something to prove at present. If he's been prepared well, he has every chance.

My research also threw up these each way shots, have a look and see what you think. 3.00 Southwell - Deep River Bay 3.50 Wincanton - Notabotheronme 4.40 Bath - Dubai Princess 8.35 Wolverhampton - Trip The Light I'll post up my favoured outright shots later.

Was looking great towards the closing stages too, unfortunately he needed the run so my fears were correct. Shaped really well when challenging 1 furlong out, just faded right at the death. One to keep an eye on for his next outing though.
