I've got the same anticipation of this game as I would a dental checkup.
I was at the dentist yesterday and found it more pleasant / less anxiety inducing than normal so maybe that’s a sign?

Any minute now...
St Johnstone Football Club are delighted to announce we've agreed an undisclosed fee with Bolton Wanderers for the permanent signing of Ali Crawford. The talented 30yo will sign a deal until 2024.
Callum Davidson on the signing: "Ali has been a reliable player for me who's come up with some big goals. I think he can play a big part in the second half of the season and beyond"
Ali Crawford: "It's great to feel wanted and I couldn't wait to sign. Huge thanks to Scott Boyd and the club for getting this deal done"
Pop a screenshot of that text on the banter page, stand well back, eat popcorn.
(Except it sits too firmly in “likely and giving me the fear” to really be funny)

Aye, has he forced the move?

I do think quite a few players were shown up from a technical point of view last night. The LASK players often looked a lot better at controlling a ball. On top of that they were quicker to loose balls and showed some decent shielding of the ball.
A lot that the team can and should learn from those four games.

Probably the main positive on the pitch for me last night was seeing Murray Davidson clearly a man looking to make up for lost time.
Wotherspoon was daft and I’m sure he knows it. I agree with all comments about the lack of real depth in our squad, and that we tired and lacked options for the end of games.
Pretty sure the Finnish boy was meant to be signed for these games, so all the delays there haven’t helped either.

Can’t see one either.

Just checked my emails and seems I’m going to the Preston game. Not got my actual ST through the post yet.

Just bought my first ST for five years.

Chris Millar playing as a RB for Morton tonight...
Ballantyne starts again, playing in the "10" position, behind a lone striker.
I was beginning to winder if Millar was still playing!

He's away on holiday.
And apparently a very long-serving and important member of staff is leaving as well.
That’s another ten pages coming up this afternoon....

Sorry to disappoint you lads but I had a dream last night where Stevie May was training with Celtic.
None of us would grudge him a League winners medal to go with the Scottish Cup winners medal.

We need an attacking coach, don’t we?
Getting the gang back together. Scobbie incoming.

Nah, I think he's actually pretty decent.
Would be a strange one unless we'd arranged to jettison someone (my guess would be Swanson), or Tommy's masterplan is to field a team entirely composed of goalies and wingers.
Recruitment strategy identified and confirmed.

Generally yes, although how awful it actually is depends on how many of the usual suspects are on the show at any given time. When you’ve got Chick Young rambling incoherently, Sandra Brown shrieking every time QOTS win a corner, Pat Bonner not knowing a single non-Celtic player and “Biscuits” Preston struggling to read out a HT/FT match report that someone else has clearly written for him, it can be pretty grim. They seem to have added John Hughes as well this year, which is an obvious catastrophe for anyone who wants to listen.
To be fair to the lad Bonner he's at least learned the names of the other teams, usually.
Yogi and Bonner were on together the other day and Yogi managed to make Bonner sound like a top intellectual.

At least we now know which member of the coaching staff deals with the strikers...
Do we actually have someone specifically coaching the strikers?

Who’s coaching the forwards at Saints? Is the support there to bring on Kane and Hendry?

It looks like Danny has signed up to WAP in order to defend himself.
I’m assuming that won’t end well but can’t bring myself to go on WAP for the first time in years to find out.

Initially read that as they (Hibs) won’t be sexy enough for him (Tommy).

Serious question: when’s the last time that Steve Brown was quoted in a newspaper or seen in public?
And was any quote obtained in person or over the phone from a suspiciously Northern Irish sounding “Steve Brown”?

Get Watt signed up for next season now. He’s more important than Joe IMO. Not that I won’t be gutted if we lose the long throwing machine.
We don’t even use that throw anymore!

I mean, has anyone seen Steve Brown recently? Has he been locked in a cupboard or something?

I was listening to him commentate on Hibs vs a non-Celtic opposition, and tbf to him he did at least begin to recognise Martin Boyle.
Hilariously everything, and I mean EVERYTHING about the rest of the game was described in almost exclusive relativity to Martin Boyle regardless of his impact on the situation.
Caught him pre-Killie vs Hibs yesterday saying that Lennon had brought “the Dutch boy at left back” into the Hibs starting line-up.
It’s not like he needs to memorise this stuff, he can write it down so that he can read it back!

As a professional business Saints should really be employing people to do these jobs, not hoping to get by on volunteers and goodwill all the time.

My season ticket lapsed a couple of years ago. No follow up.
I had personal reasons for allowing it to lapse, but I also wasn’t really getting much joy from performances on the park, though I won’t fault effort.
There’s a vicious circle at play, or at least the risk of one; the club make an effort to little return so maybe get a little jaded, while the fans drift away from an insular club.
Ross moving on has been a big loss.

Only just ventured into the Music forum and spotted this thread. Always delighted to see any appreciation of the works of Molina. Based on "VU Anxiety" I'm really looking forward to hearing the upcoming live album.
Never saw him live but a pal did. 'The Lioness' is my favourite of his records, I reckon.
