  1. Mcbookie has you 7-2 and us 4-1. Best prices i can see are 4-1 you and 5-1 us. Can't find a bookie that doesn't have you favourite. News can't have filtered through yet about your new keeper.

    Unlucky.

Couldn't have been looking very far. Coral, paddy power have Cowdenbeath as favourites, we have only recently became 2nd favourite we were behind Stranraer and Forfar on some sites
  2. There's a extremely large difference between Fleming and Hutton. Fleming had a disapointing stint at Dunfermline, however has went on to have a decent career and played well where he's been. Hutton has had 1 below average and 1 very horrendous season in the 2 he's had at Ayr, then going on to a team who are favourites for the league. It looks to me Johnston simply could not find another keeper and has opted for Hutton because he's had him before and he was available. We'll see how they get on.

Hutton never signed for Cowdenbeath. Last time I checked they were the favourites according to the bookies.

Let's be honest here. Aye fans are bricking it because they are scared Hutton turns out to have a great season and will make you lot eat your words. Mind a keeper has 10 players in front of him.

Add to that AJ has stated he will be bringing in another keeper so there's also every chance Hutton may not be 1st choice.

Fleming had a stormer against us at EEP last season but still ended up on the losing side.

My opinion on keepers at tones is that they are only as good as the players in front of them.

  3. I never really minded Millen. He played well at times played poor at times just your everyday footballer really. Seen him score a few cracking free kicks for the 20s but seen him hit a few seagulls in the 1st team

Cons - he doesnt bomb on and does lack pace.

Pros - can put in a great ball and shows good composure on pens as he was our taker.

  4. St.mirren mate

I'm a pars fan mate, but every time we played Stenny he was brilliant. I remember 1 of the games at EEP where he was a class apart you can see he had something. Enough to start a thread about him on the pars forum and a lot of fans wanted us to look at him, he's better than league 1 championship would be a good step up for him If Celtic want him to improve further

Stenny fans I think will agree

  5. From a pars fan, worst rovers side in ages, if we hadn't won that game we would've been robbed, apart from the 1 Nade chance use done nothing. Was really surprised as the signings you have made. Scott, Nade, Stewart, Fox, Conroy to name a few. Nothing better from a pars fan to hear the rovers fans asking for their manager to f**k off. Pleasing

  6. Page looked unsure yesterday, he had Declan O'kane alongside him and Ross Drummond on the other, I think this had a lot to do with it.

Cammy McClair and James Thomas were both brilliant yesterday look really promising, I think the back 5 will be what started yesterday's 1st half.

I think if all are fit we will start the season as

    Scully

    Millen

    Buchanan

    Martin

    Whittle

    Forbes

    Geggan

    Falkingham

    Stirling

    Moffat

    Faissal

Faissal could easily play on the right and allow Wallace to come in. But with I'm having injuries I ink we should allow a full recovery than rushing him back. We have great options and our youngsters look very promising.

1 other thing to note yesterday I think number 15 for Livi was Jordan White, looked a handful and gave page a torrid time IMO

  7. Could they play in the Under 20's games? Don't know if trialists are allowed.

Cowden thread is dull so I have tried to start the mud flinging. Please feel free to help out.

Yeah trialists can play in the under 20s and the league, I'm going on what JJ said he hopes to have it sorted in next 10 days and they guys are coming in next week, the under 20 game was suppose to be Tuesday against Falkirk but will changed due to the Scotland u21 game and I don't think the Patrick game at home in the Saturday would be ideal to play a trialist unless it was Murray as you know what you get, I hope we get Murray and 1 of the others stand out and we can sort a deal ideal, Cardle will not leave he's a good player but I hardly think he was stand out where there would ve an influx of clubs after him

  8. Ian Murray seems to believe that Geggan is a 'very good right back' - I've gone off him completely. He has the football knowledge of Andrew, i.e f**k all!

Yeah Ian Murray rates geggan, I was tweeting him last night about what was happening, said the club and him were working on something, said geggan is definitely spl quality to which I replied sarcasm he said no he was serious although does say give it time, he also said a lot of god players at club.

  9. Think the starting line up I'd like to see on Saturday would be 4-4-2 not the 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 we have been playing.

    Gallacher

    McMillan Dowie Murray Jordan

    Burns Falkingham Husband Cardle

    Kirk Wallace

    Subs - Hrivnak,Geggan,Whittle,Barrowman,Willis

The reason being aye Burns can be poor but he does work hard plus if push comes to shove you can revert to 4-3-3 as you could push Cardle and bring Burns in plus good options on bench.

Although Geggan I think may start as he has played pre season but not a rb in my eyes McMillan far better, as they say if its not broke don't fix it
