  1. I suppose the old Bayview would have been in a crumbling state by the time the club decided to move.
  2. I visited the original Bayview twice during the 1995-96 season to watch Queens and really enjoyed the old stadium. I cannot believe that they moved to a one stand arena just like Dumbarton. I remember being in the social club on one of those occasions and chatting to Des McKeown (who was injured and now Sun columnist on a Saturday). Just also remember Jim Butter was the Queens keeper, who used to get some pelters but I wasn't sure if he as bad as some of the other keepers that Queens have had over the years.
  3. Certainly am. Just a bit of lighthearted fun that some folk on here cannot see. They don't need to read my posts if they don't want to.
  4. Queen of the South were not even in the leagues until the 1923-24 season after their formation in 1919.
  5. Doesn't bother me. Sticks and stones and all that.
  6. Most probably, yes. I hadn't read his answer. Sorry.
  7. Unfortunate to miss out. Where is Dom Thomas from?
  8. Going to post some Third Lanark photos up from a few "Hi Hi" books that I have.
  9. Yeah, if was like that at the time in '94 with a wall acting as the urinal, with a very basic drainage system at your feet.
  10. There must be some slight changes since 1994, mind you. Always recall going to the loo that faced the North Sea.
  11. I agree with Gayfield being cold. I was there on 9th April 1994 and it was baltic! That was the day Andy Thomson scored 2 goals in a 3-0 win over Arbroath. He'd been out injured and was racing Hateley to reach 30 goals. He'd been on 29 since returning and hadn't scored for so many games. Stevie Mallan Snr (Dad of current St Mirren player) scored in the 2nd minute and Thomson scored 2 goals in the 2nd half.
