Kelly is a good (occasionally great) keeper at this level and that alone can more or less be the difference between an ok season & relegation. In the 6 months before he signed we had a broken Carson, a below average Archer and an absolutely fucking terrible Chapman to rely on. If we're going to pay over the odds for any player I'd probably say a keeper is the one to do it on.

To be fair they've resurfaced a lot of the route. Byres Road looked like the Somme a while ago but they fixed that recently. Same with the roads round the City Chambers. I can't see it getting to a bunch sprint. It's a mental technical course and I reckon if someone gets any leeway in a break they'll never be seen again. MVDP and his all or nothing racing will be class to see.

That Belgium road race squad is cracked beyond belief. Got to imagine the only issue is managing a whole load of guys who could all feasibly win it in whatever way the race comes down to. MVDP and van Baarle for the Netherlands are also absolute hitters. If it's anything like the Commonwealth road race it'll be attritional and will be won by whoever is the hardest b*****d on the road that day.

Aye. Went to the IMAX at Silverburn last night for it. Visually spectacular and really well paced. But for sure when the credits started rolling I just felt really, really sad. The cast is so unbelievably stacked as well. Shout out your man from Drake & Josh rising to the occasion and being the guy on the big red button.
