  1. It's because it's a binary decision. As soon as you add VAR to anything that's up to opinion then it falls to f**k.
  2. They made a rod for their own back with this. If something takes 6 minutes of going frame by frame to work out if it hit someone's bicep and, if so, where abouts in relation to the "shirt line" then I'd suggest that the initial decision did not have anything clear nor obvious wrong with it.
  3. If you're using Safari you can hit the reader mode button and it tends to bypass it. Alternatively
  4. This is a big step in the right direction away from stuffing a camera in someone's coupon after we've just been battered. Good work from the media troops.
  5. Aye. Both handballs are ridiculous to even consider as fouls. The issue is that I don't actually think anybody can confidently say what is a handball in these instances now. We've seen even less obvious handballs given as penalties (this one last week for example, but there's been countless others). The rule is confusing and the consistency is infuriating. I mentioned it in our thread but it does feel like sunk cost fallacy. The VAR system does not work properly, it's being staffed by people who are incompetent and the powers that be think that it'll work fine. Waiting 5-6 minutes for a decision to be awarded whatever way is not improving anyones match day experience.
  6. Cannae believe there's people shocked that we struggled to break down a team who were sitting in. We have nobody who can unpick that problem, Spittal to Bair/Vale on the counter is our best attacking output and when that's taken away we've struggled. As far as VAR, f**k knows. It's sunk cost fallacy now. We've a system in place that's run by incompetent referees and we expect it to work well. I'm not even just talking about today either. All over the league this season has been one stinking decision after another.
  7. Do I think any of the referees are biased towards any particular club in this country? No. Do I think they are all incompetent shitebags? Yes.
  8. Couldn't see a thread for this so here we are. After the 3-3 draw last time around, who knows what to expect. Will Aberdeen remember how to play football? Will Liam Kelly remember he's got an all-expenses-paid summer holiday to Germany on the line until the end of the season? I've given up predicting. Just give it to big Theo and we'll see what happens.
  9. Aye, very much so. Gunn's been a great option so fair play to Clarke getting him. Gordon kept Hearts in that cup tie on Monday night and is still class but age isn't on his side. Clark & Kelly are much of a muchness. They're both fine, mid-table SPFL keepers that have really good games and really bad games. McCrorie wasn't great at Livingston IIRC. I'd imagine that he's getting nowhere near a cap until he's somewhere he gets a game every week though. We need to stop spawning world class pressing midfielders and full backs. Start getting forwards and keepers in place.
  10. Anyone who wants to tell me Clark is a significantly better option for Scotland than Kelly can watch this and then come back to me. Utterly hopeless for their 2nd & 3rd goals. (Don't get me started on Christie's shitebag behaviour in the lead up to the 3rd.)
  11. I'm as critical of Kelly as the next man this season but taking Gordon if he's going to be third choice seems a bit daft. I don't think Clark is any better than Kelly, just watch that 3-3 Norway game. I also don't think McCrorie's great either. What I'm saying here is I hope to f**k Gunn doesn't get injured.
  12. MLS contracts are weird because they're held by the league and not the clubs so I'd imagine this is something we'll deal with in the summer. If you're struggling to sleep at night have a read https://www.si.com/soccer/2017/02/08/mls-roster-rules-acquisitions-flowchart-how-to-sign-players#
  13. I mean even Moult second time around was probably fitter than Obika's been at any point this season. As much as I was a bit sad big Kev didn't come back, Vale's been excellent since he came in. He's been pretty much the perfect January window signing for a striker. Immediately scored goals and brought more out of everyone around him.
  14. I, for one, respect the hell out of the media team for keeping a shoebox full of receipts.
  15. I think we were all a bit sceptical of Bair's signing tbh. But is it fair to say that Kettlewell might know what he's doing with forwards? We all laughed about the whole Random Motherwell Fan account noising up KvV before his mental goalscoring run but it matches up with when everyone started to pick up form. We're the 3rd highest scorers in the league despite the weird patch in the middle of the season, he's managing to get goals from a few players to balance out not having a big weird Dutch guy up top.
  16. It's a criticism of both Motherwell & Scotland kits over the past few years. I totally understand that we need to keep the traditional home colours but I would love it if we'd go a bit out there with the away kit design. The Danzaki neon kit from last season was quite good fun. As was the Covid season petrol blue number.
