Sevconians don't do walking away for the simple reason that they don't turn up in the first place. Total joke of a club.

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/dave-king-kids-wanted-buy-5125452
Dave King: My kids wanted me to buy Liverpool, I fear we're losing a generation of Rangers fansDAVE KING says his kids prefer watching Liverpool from their home in South Africa and he's worried that if the current mess continues then the club will lose a whole generation of new fans.DAVE KING can’t remember the game but it was in 1963.
The Rangers team still trips off the tongue: Ritchie, Shearer, Caldow, Greig, MacKinnon, Baxter, Henderson, MacMillan, Millar, Brand and Wilson.
It was his first trip to Ibrox with his father. And what followed was an unbreakable affinity with a football club that he’s now trying to save.
Whether they like it or not, King’s family have had the allegiance passed down to them.
His four kids actually prefer to watch Liverpool from their home in South Africa. But their first allegiance?
They simply have no choice in the matter.
King is currently trying to pull off a coup of Ibrox. A tumultuous takeover of the boardroom that he believes will be rubber stamped at a General Meeting on March 4.
He’s convinced the game is up for the current Rangers regime. But if it isn’t, he fears that an entire generation of fans could be lost to the club.
After four years of turmoil on Edmiston Drive, King is worried that if it goes on much longer children from Rangers-supporting families will lose interest.
And that’s one of the reasons why he felt he HAD to come to the rescue.
He actually contemplated investing at Anfield a few years ago. But his heart was always at Ibrox.
As King outlined his plans should he take over as chairman, he said: “My family would prefer it to be Liverpool.
“But they’re Rangers fans because they have to be. My son is at university and streams every Liverpool game.
“However, he understands why I’m doing it. It’s part of their inheritance.
“I actually spoke to Liverpool six or seven years ago when they were looking to re-finance. But it never came to anything.
“Listen, I grew up as a Rangers fan. The fact I live in South Africa has never changed my attitude or my support for the club.
“I’m just the same as any other fan. I’m just in a privileged position to be able to do this.
“If someone else came in and put their money in – I’d rather it was their money than mine.
“But if I didn’t step forward and make a commitment, there was a chance of this process continuing to a point where it might not have been recoverable.
“Our history still remains even after four years of trouble. But it’s getting to a tipping point where Rangers could become irrelevant. And that’s offensive to me.
“I’m someone who grew up with my father and grandfather creating a legacy for me. I’d like to contribute sons and grandsons to that now.
“I want to see them enjoy the same benefits of this institution that I’ve enjoyed.
“I remember my dad taking me to my first game in 1963.
“It was that great team, Ritchie, Shearer, Caldow. I was only eight years old. So it was a father to son hand down.
“That’s what has happened for 143 years. If that stops because the dad isn’t going and he’s not taking his boy, all of a sudden you miss kids between the ages of six and 11.
“He might say to his father, ‘I’ll play golf or whatever’. It could become a real issue.
“You’ll miss a generation of children coming to see Rangers. And that’s the real danger of four years becoming eight years. We have to end it now.”
Daily RecordDave King speaks at a media conference announcing his plan for RangersKing has spent the last week fielding questions on his South African tax case, financial Nomads and potential share issues.
But if he is given the keys to Ibrox next month, what will he do with a football squad who are drastically under-achieving and who currently don’t have a full-time gaffer?
King hinted that most of Murray Park’s out-of-contract men will be free to go.
And he has promised fans that he’ll appoint a ‘coach’ as opposed to a manager, who can identify and develop talented young players.
Even if that means snaring him from another club.
After watching last week’s Old Firm defeat at Hampden on TV , he said: “There is obviously an opportunity to have contracts terminated and we’ll have to make significant changes.
“I was surprised by the performance at Hampden against Celtic. I expected a higher standard but I certainly wasn’t thinking ‘wow, there’s six or seven guys here who could be useful in the Premier League’.
“This team is obviously not equipped to compete in the top flight and they’re really struggling.
“But it’s absolutely critical that we get the right man in. We need more a coach than a manager – someone with the capacity to identify good players.
“That will be the single most important decision we make.
“Would we pay compensation to another club for the right manager? Yes, depending on the amount.
“Everyone would accept that Rangers need to be completely rebuilt and that’s why the role is so critical. We wouldn’t easily take our second choice if a little bit of money would get us our first choice.”
King’s previous stint as a director for Rangers was under former owner David Murray, whose mantra of ‘if Celtic spend a fiver, we’ll spend a tenner’ ultimately proved to be his – and the club’s downfall.
That’s why when the Castlemilk-born millionaire is devising his own strategy for running the club he admits he’d rather take a leaf out of Fergus McCann’s book, than Murray’s.
King said: “Fergus’ model at Celtic when he took over was a more responsible one. It was a managed approach and he did very well.
“Whereas David’s model was fine – just as long as he had that money to put in. But even big clubs can hurtle down the leagues quite quickly when a dominant owner isn’t around any more.
“We’ve gone through ‘event risk’ too often. It has been a period of turmoil.
“That’s why this board has to make sure we have a funding and financial policy in place so that doesn’t happen again.
“Hopefully the fans will understand that. We won’t take them to the abyss again.”
VIEW GALLERYBut King won’t know just how perilous Rangers’ financial position is until he’s in the door alongside prospective directors Paul Murray and John Gilligan.
If they emerge victorious at the GM they will carry out a forensic examination of the club’s affairs.
He revealed he expects there to be up to £2million worth of ‘surprises’ in there that may have been concealed by the current board.
But King insists he’s ready for every eventuality.
He said: “There is a limit to how bad it can be. I can’t imagine there will be a huge amount of creditors.
“I don’t think anyone has been lending money that we don’t know about. The stadium isn’t being used as security so, while I think there will be surprises which might run into a couple of million, I doubt we’ll find a hole of £15-20million.
“Nobody would have lent money into that situation without some form of security.
“The burden we might have is how onerous the arrangements with Mike Ashley and Sports Direct are. If they’re going to continue to be onerous for 10 years, it’s going to take a huge amount of cash-flow out of the club that we’d like to stay in it.”
Kids want a Bentley but they have to make do with a clapped-out Cortina because that was rich daddy's first car. Doesn't look good for the future. If King died tomorrow they would be shot of these shares in an instant.

SevcoRangers2012 are technically insolvent.
Is that not the same as bankrupt or do semantics matter here ?
On life support so still not technically dead. People are known to have woken up from deep comas after many years but I have no idea if they were The Peepul.

Just shows how brainwashed Rangers fans are with getting behind King and the Rangers first fannies,,,if King was in charge and secured the service of FIVE Newcastle players, it would trumpeted as a master stroke.
I've changed my mind about Dave King. I heard him on the rado the other day and was surprised to find that he doesn't speak with a South African accent. Totally decent chap who should be givenj his chance at Rangers. He's a real Rangers man and should be applauded for trying to turn them around. Good luck to the man.
I'm now trying to work out who will be bankrupt first: King and the 3 bears or Sevco? What are the bookies offering?

Busted for coke, done for kidnap, banned from Indian cricket - now he wants to buy Rangers

AN Indian tycoon with convictions for drugs and kidnapping wants to buy Rangers.
Multi-millionaire Lalit Modi, the mastermind behind cricket’s super-rich Indian Premier League, wants a controlling interest in the troubled club.
He confirmed yesterday that he contacted Rangers football board chairman Sandy Easdale this week to discuss the 26 per cent stake in the club over which Easdale has voting rights.
But Rangers fans will be stunned at the thought of the businessman, who is now banned for life from Indian cricket and living under guard because of mafia death threats, taking charge at Ibrox.
When Modi, now 49, was a college student in the US, he was caught with 400 grams of cocaine.
He was arrested in North Carolina on charges of conspiracy to traffic cocaine, assault and second-degree kidnapping.
Modi, who was studying at Duke University, eventually pled guilty after a plea bargain to assault and kidnapping. He got a suspended two-year prison sentence and community service.
Sentence for drug possession was deferred on condition that a £32,000 cash bond was deposited with the court – normal practice in North Carolina in cases involving first offenders.
Modi has argued that the convictions, dating back to 1985, are no longer relevant. But they came back to haunt him in 2008 when he was taken to court in Delhi over a claim he was not a “fit and proper person” to be involved in Indian cricket.
Lalit Modi
He won that battle after arguing that the convictions were old and pointing out that the case had been brought by an old rival in cricket administration.
But after building the IPL into a multi-billion dollar business, with support from friends including Bollywood superstar Shilpa Shetty, Modi is now no longer welcome in his homeland’s national sport.
Cricket’s board of control in India banned him in 2013 after finding him guilty of rigging an auction for IPL franchises, selling media and internet rights without permission and showing interest in creating a rebel T20 league in England.
Modi insists he did nothing wrong. He also faced claims in 2010 that the IPL was a front for money laundering and illegal betting, which sparked angry street protests against him.
He now lives in London, under 24-hour guard because of threats to his life by gangsters in India and Pakistan. A hitman arrested in 2009 revealed plans to assassinate Modi, his wife and son.
Despite his chequered past, Modi is still on the lookout for opportunities. He seems convinced he has found one in Rangers.
He said yesterday: “Glasgow Rangers FC is an institution in itself, given the history and lineage of the club.
“Yes, I am looking at acquiring a stake in this Scottish institution, as I think the club is seriously undervalued.”
It is believed a price has already been discussed for the shares Easdale has proxy rights over, and a meeting could take place as early as next week.
Modi added: “Glasgow Rangers have a fabulous fan base, a solid home and heritage that dates back over 100 years, all of which make for great long-term value.
Indian protesters burn effigy of Modi
“I have thus initiated talks with a couple of shareholders to understand the situation on the ground, and am keen that these discussions lead to fruition.
“Having said that, these discussions are still at a very preliminary stage.”
Modi is best known for his stint in charge of the IPL, now worth more than £2.6billion.
But he also ran India’s Champions League of cricket, and struck a ground-breaking £640million deal in 1994 for US-based broadcasting giant ESPN to show T20 Champions League matches.
He was also a vice-chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India before his lifetime ban.
Modi’s dad is chairman of Modi Enterprises, a £3billion business
empire involved in everything from fashion, education and retail to health care and tea. Modi jnr is president and managing director of the business and executive director of huge tobacco firm Godfrey Phillips India. But his legal issues continue. New Zealand cricketer Chris Cairns won £90,000 libel damages from him three years ago when he accused Cairns of involvement in match-fixing.
Modi is now chasing Cairns to claw back £2.4million in damages and costs after the all-rounder was charged with perjury over the libel case. Cairns is due to stand trial in October.
Seems like a perfect owner for Sevco but I don't think the Bears will want him anywhere the Big Hoose. Stupid cnut called them Glasgow Rangers FC.

Is there anything more pathetic than greetin aboot one?
MT should remember the often stated remark that "what goes on the internet stays tnere forever." He seems to have no problem with reading and commenting on threads which discusss t*ms, h*ns' f*nians, kiddy fiddlers and all the rest in full knowledge that these comments are likely to remain there for a long time. However, he is outraged by words which disappear forevermore as soon as they exit someone's mouth.
There is a saying, "in one ear and out the other". This is true in the case of most people but unfortunately it doesn't work in the case of those who have a brick in place of a brain.

Is there a more facile argument in all the world than "it's only a song"?
So please give us your list of injuries caused by songs. C*nts like you would have singing banned if you could.
0 -
I honestly can't see what all this f*cking nonsense about singing songs is about. Singing a song never hurt anybody. Just let them release their bile by singing about f*cking the pope, the queen or anybody else they fancy. The c*nts complaining about hearing sectarian or racist shite on their tv don't go to football matches anyway so all they have to do is just turn off.
I'm surprised there haven't been any major complaints about last week's Top Gear where Jazza said "Muschi, muschi, willkommen". "Muschi" is the German slang for "pussy" as in vagina.
Too many people wanting to be outraged on others' behalf these days.

It's a fixture I can see Rangers now going undefeated in for at least the next couple of seasons.
What decade or even century are you envisaging?

You could be right wee Hec, atleast another couple of years down here if we survive..
We might get them in another cup game tho...
I almost feel sorry for you, Benny. Pity the rest of your clan can't show the same contrition.

Never out of 2nd gear? they were flying into every tackle ya mentalist...
Hurting, Benny. Hurting. Your team never showed up.

We've lost to celtic many times and will continue to do so, whats your point Dougal?
It could be a long time before you lose against Celtic again.
