HMRC have a stated policy that they will not support a CVA where there is evidence of a serious intent to defraud the tax authorities. They have previously deemed EBT style instruments as one such possible example of this.
I take this to mean that if the HMRC win the 'big' tax case tribunal and it is deemed that the EBT were a tax evasion rather than a tax avoidance device then HMRC will not be inclined to support a CVA. The obvious reason being that it is better for the Treasury to lose some money and sending out a signal to potential future abusers of the system of the consequences of their actions.
Of course this raises other issues that have been alluded to here and elsewhere, namely if it was tax evasion and not avoidance will criminal charges follow.
Don't forget the fact that since Whyte took over they have not paid a bean either.

Germany eh...
What were they called in World War 1 again? The Germans? They were called something in World War 1, weren't they, the Germans?
I'm sure they were called Germans.

Yup, this question has not been asked once in the 380 odd pages about rangers in admin, thanks sooooo much for creating a new thread.

ask yourself why Rangers fly it (and vice versa)
It's a flag, if it offends you then perhaps you have the problem.

Personally I couldn't give a f**k.........but in the context of the rivalry it might as well be a fucking swastika !
So Rangers fans shouldn't fly the Union Flag in case it upsets Celtic fans?

Wylde walks away? Surely not, they don't do walking away do they?
Your about the 18th person to post that.

not on twitter. was an email from someone with connections to all that, though they are involved in as much inaccurate gossip as normal punters, so it may well be rubbish.
Like i said, from twitter.

But their history dies, might be worth it - and if they buy a second division club that's where they start.
I know a club in the East of Scotland league that might be up for it
Will they not just do a hibs tho? And ignore the fact that its not the same club?

Someone rich and "Rangers minded" will buy the target club, rename, rebadge and relocate. Most recent example being Airdrieonians. Airdrie went bust, so a rich Airdrie fan purchased Clydebank and changed the name to Airdrie United, changed the strips to the "diamond" strips and moved the club to, you got it, Airdrie.
So for example Andrew Bigot could simply walk in and change everything.
Sore one.

For the sake of argument, say Paul Murray. He goes to Airdrie/Livi/East Fife/Hamilton or any club with a single major shareholder and says. I'll give you 2 million cash to walk away. The club is his and he changes the name.
Its really that simple?
Jesus.
cheers

All this talk of buying a club if they are liquidated confuses me. Who will buy the club? Rangers as an entity will not exist as such they cant buy anyone surely????

Guy on Clyde 1 SSB "We`ll buy a 3rd Division club & then move them to England"
these guys are fucking hilarious!
Who is the 'we'
If they are liquidated there is nothing, no 'we' nowt.
Fucking mugs.

Laughing, or just through forgetting to go as it is too interesting to drag yourself away?
Some genuinely funny posts, some shite attempts to pretend they know something, and a lot of good cheer.

Because the SPL were mad.
The fact that they had to join the list of creditors of a busted flush shows the consequences of that madness.
I don't see the mass disruption. The liquidated team's games to date become null and void, the league table is reset and onward everyone else goes.
Has anyone compiled a league table of where we would be if this was the case?

Good news, looks like Rangers fans have digged deep into the pockets,
Remember the "save the rangers" website well apparently

Season Ticket, go to every away game, I had no idea unemployment life was so easy.

£93 million pounds, I wonder how many schools have went without books, or hospitals without a full staff to fund Rangers?
