  1. Ardeer 0-4 Irvine Vics

Comfortable win for the guys today, despite the penalty conceded and saved, at 1-0. Could have had doubled our tally quite easily but were wasteful. Special mention for our keeper. Making the penalty save look routine but also maintaining his concentration levels throughout and making vital stops when called upon.

    Mon the Toria🔶⚪🔶

  2. Capacity has been set at 1000, with only 600 tickets sold in advance. This game always attracts the neutrals who might not use social media, or older fans not IT smart, so may be scope for some pay at gate to get the numbers up to the 1K. Don't quote me but logical thing to do IMO.

    Bellshill athletic 5-4 Irvine Victoria

A well attended first home game for Bellshill down the Rockburn and a game that had a bit of everything with Bellshill going in at half time with a 3-0 lead courtesy of three well taken counter-attack goals

second half saw Irvine get two goals back through a well worked first and a bit of a defensive disaster for the second then another goal from Bellshill seen it 4-2 and what should have been game done but a miss placed back pass and a fine volley from a corner brought the score to 4-4

there was then a lengthy stoppage after two Irvine boys crashed heads thankfully both boys got up but was a bit surprised to see them both continue they game

a long freekick thrown into the box and well kept alive seen Bellshill get the ball in the net to make it 5-4 then followed a couple of silly red cards from us to finish the game with 9 men but dug in to get the 3 points eventually 9 from 9 and onto Wednesday for a trip to Lanark 🟡⚫🟡⚫

Spot on with your post. We got our money worth with a game that was end to end ,proverbial game of two halves.  Thought we had the momentum going into the last ten mins, having drawn level but the stoppage for the head knocks allowed you to regroup and eventually got your winner. Two good teams having a real go over the 90 minutes.

PS fair play to the home supporters for dealing with the nugget who was abusing the injured players.

  4. Girvan 4 -0 Irvine Vics

What a shambles last night.  Thought we would have utilised the squad last night and sent with a different forward line on Girvan 's big park , but didn't happen.Could fill a page with what we watched however as it's only second game of season so  will cut them a bit of slack. Both players and management need to address it quickly.

Well done Girvan, who thoroughly deserved the win and could've scored more. Special mention to a couple of ex Vics boys, Paul Cameron and big Cunny, who were dominant throughout.

  5. Irvine Victoria 5 - 0 Shettleston Jnrs Tribute Act

Great performance to start our league campaign.  Some new faces in our line up but it was our old boys from last season taking the scoring headlines. Early days yet but making of a strong squad to carry us through the season.

Glasgow offered nothing in all honesty apart from two late headers when the game was by.

Was the rapist playing for “Formerly Shettleston Juniors FC” today?

In any case, a pleasing scoreline.

Don't know the person you're talking about, however can categorically state that a former Scottish international played for Glasgow Utd, lasted about 30 mins before pulling up injured having contributed S.F.A😉

Both O'Donnell and Faulds are contracted for the rest of this season and I believe both happy at Meadow for rest of the season at the least I would hope.

We need to give the new signings a chance and I am sure will want to prove any critics wrong and show they are Premier quality.

I don't think we are after any Irvine Vics players?

At least the players we have signed this season want to play for Meadow and no longer come to Meadow for money! Its hard league to compete in with money being thrown about by some teams.

Heard you'd been looking at Savarese who plays up front for Vics.🤔

Irvine Victoria 0-3 Vale of Leven

Rode our luck a bit at times in the second half but a really good display and it's four wins in a row for the Vale.

Can I just say a huge thanks to the Vics staff who helped out when one of our supporters took unwell at the end of the game. Great care shown. He's off to hospital and hopefully on the mend.

Hadn't really followed your form. before yesterday but you were well worth the 3 pts. Yes you had a bit of good fortune second half, we hit the woodwork several times, cleared of the line, crucial defensive blocks and the keeper saves, and if we score from one of them it's a different game. However you had some good counter attacks to put the game to bed earlier than you eventually did with the late 3rd goal.

I know we were down the bare bones but you guys looked a good unit and am surprised you are not up challenging for one of the promotion spots.

Results again this week mean it's another missed opportunity for us at the top.

Anyway looking forward to the return fixture as it will be my first time at yours.

PS, hope the boy who took unwell is doing okay.

    LARKHALL THISTLE 2  GIRVAN 0

Not a classic by any means but another 3 points.

In a good position with a very good Vale of Clyde team up next at Gasworks on Wednesday

Surprising that the Vics dropped points.

Don't be surprised as we were shite today, lacked creativity and no cutting edge, didn't really trouble home keeper.

Dalry had a game plan which they stubbornly stuck to and could have won at the death from a free kick which forced our keeper into his one and only save of the game.

3 red cards in a game which was a hard slog for both teams.

Have to pick up full points next week before we travel to you guys.

  10. Vale of Clyde are the best team we have played this season,(my title favourites IMO) closely followed by Lanark. No disrespect to the other top 6 challengers. Lanark won't be far away despite their recent heavy loss to us. Still hard to call with loads of football to be played and any 3 from 6 still in with a shout of promotion.

we've had a good season so far, better than our expectations however there is the opportunity for our guys to make it a great season and secure promotion.

This division has been competitive from the first ball being kicked and looks like it is going to the wire.

    Bring it on.

    Irvine Vics 3 Lanark 3

Typical blood and guts Junior game that we all love.  Either team could have won it. Lanark missed a sitter in injury time. Irvine keeper had several fine saves but Lanark keeper also had a couple of important blocks.

    I enjoyed my pie.

Totally agree with above. Game had everything that  traditional junior fans love. Credit to both teams for an entertaining game on a slippy pitch and also for an exciting end to the match as they chased a winner.👍

  12. Irvine Vics 1 - 0 Finnart.

Late but we'll deserved winner against a stuffy side. Game could have easily been over after 20 mins but for the woodwork and a couple of decent stops by the Finnart keeper. Boys kept plugging away and got their reward at the end. A win's a win so we move on to our next match.

    Mon the Toria!

Woof woof must be another billy big time player. I heard Lesmahagow had 4 of there best players missing today as well as a good few on the drink last night. Manager had to draft in 20s boys and coaches to play today. Irvine Vics 8-0 is very flattering towards them as I watched some of there games and look like a poor amateur team at best. The back 4 look like they have there own caravan campus between them.

Are you sure it was just the 4  of their best players and there wasn't more out? Who was keeping you in the loop about all things happening at The Gow? Only reason am asking as the Gow supporters we spoke to yesterday, never mentioned any of that but talked about their own indifferent form to date and yet still fancied their chances against us. However as Woof woof, has previously pointed out, this is a different Vics team to last season.

To the game itself you think 8-0 flatters the Vics, if you had been there you would have seen that it actually flattered The Gow. we could have and possibly should have hit double figures. That's not being disrespectful, as they had some cracking players in the team, but that was the reality unfortunately. We experienced that ourselves last season, so not gloating in any way.

Respect to our opponents for not losing the rag and keeping eleven players on the park, knowing that the game was gone for them after the 50 mins mark. They kept plugging away despite the result and fair play to the ref for keeping the match flowing.

One last observation for those looking at our results, I would remind you again that this is not last year's team. We.look more solid at the back as we've acquired a cracking goalie in Owen, two new full backs who can switch easily to the middle of the park. Our captain Fraser seems to be forming a solid partnership with Gaff, our new CB. Middle to front looks good and we appear to have goals across the team. Which is great, so will take each game as it comes.

Not going to make any bold or daft predictions as fitba has a habit of biting you on the arse. What I do know is we should have been sitting on 9 points, with 3 wins from 3, as no disrespect to Larkhall, we created enough chances to see that game out with a comfortable win, but like I say that's fitba for you.

It's still early days but this season definitely has different feel to it compared to last year and am looking forward to it as are my fellow Vics fans.😉
