If Sevco get voted into the SFL while in admin do they start on -25 points?
Of course

I had a laugh at his internet comment too, as if we are all morons who dont understand the situation - f**k you Jackson, if clowns like you did your job in the first place with the whole "money off the radar" stuff about Whyte then a large chunk of this would not have came to pass, so I suppose its easier for him to keep playing the everyone else was wrong when he especially did as much to damage Rangers by doing no homework before publishing articles.
Traynor, Young, Forsyth and Jackson - 4 guys who should not be picking up any sort of wage commenting on football in the future after this.
Want to 'listen again' to this. When was it on? Ta

Given that promotion from the SFL to the SPL is by application rather than automatic, I think Dundee and Falkirk should withdraw their applications meaning there's no vacancy in the SFL for Newco to apply for.
Ha ha. What a masterstroke! I'd love us to do that.

The CPS covers Englandshire its the Procurator Fiscal in Scotland young man..
Well, you'd better tell Alex Thomson that. That's where I got the info from, I'm obviously not as bothered about the legal system as you are.
And if you're older than me, you must be ancient.

So if the CPS investigating, is it just Murray and Whyte in the dock?
Or is the newco implicated too?

Seriously, do the SFA/SPL know how big this is? For all their plotting, Rangers' fate could be taken out of their hands.

Are Rangers going to disappear completely now?

How can Celtic vote anything else but No if their fans are threatening a boycott of any clubs who vote Yes?
Celtic fans boycotting Parkhead would be something else.

Now we know Club 12 isn't Rangers. Have they any fixtures for next season?

Inverness to vote No.
That's five now, including St Johnstone and excluding Aberdeen and Celtic.
Don't believe that the leagues will be carved up and no vote allowed. Where's the democracy in that?

Administration is nothing to do with the actual size of the debt - it's the ability to service it and, importantly, to pay creditors. You won't lose your house for having a big mortgage - you'll lose it for not paying the mortgage.
I know that. What I'm saying is that the way things are going, these clubs that are stretched to the limit will succumb, just like we did. But maybe not. Best of luck.
All this weeping and wailing about losing Old Firm visits is getting on my tits, to be honest. Rangers and Celtic seem to turn home fans off, as the matches are on TV and often a foregone conclusion.

No, you are worse than most clubs. You bought players you couldn't afford, and paid wages you couldn't afford in order to gain an advantage over your competitors. Then you weaseled out of paying your debts. Twice.
Guilty of course.
BUT other clubs have far bigger debts than we did when we went into admin. Explain that.
The Weasel Club is expecting new members soon.
Better than being a toad (MJ).

I can only assume you are having a laugh here?
So tell me which bit you're disputing. OK, the Falkirk guy said you were trying to service your debt,. Fair enough.
But MJ sounds like a desperate man, as if you could be forced into admin, just as we were.

If we had gone into admin twice, then we'd probably be in a fantastic financial position. But we have so far chosen the honourable option.
Did you have any sympathy for us? If you did, that's OK, because Killie are a good club and Harkins is a fine player.
But you're missing the point. Honourable option my arse. All clubs with financial problems are doing is avoiding the issue, as Dundee would have done but for circumstances. We are no better or worse than most other Scottish clubs and anyone would thinks otherwise is as big a fool as Mr Johnston obviously is. Toad.
-1 -
Michael Johnston is a toad.
And if Kilmarnock have been existing like this, it's time they faced up to facts.
Dundee have no overdraft and no debt, but look what we had to go through to get there.
So any other club that's been hiding behind overdrafts and debt, I've very little sympathy for you. The situation is exactly the same as ours, just that we were found out sooner.

Exactly where will the challenge come from? Last time I looked any challenge has been snuffed out by HMRC.
I just think Celtic might lack something without Rangers around. Plus the others only have to negotiate one half of the OF now and put a good run together against the rest.
Pains me to say it, but the best of the rest could be United, with Hearts' cutbacks.

Yep, remember Doncaster saying four OF games were stipulated by Sky, but have never seen it confirmed by Sky.
Two more votes against and The Rangers have to go to Div 3, never mind these pathetic deals to save them. Newco HAS to start again on the bottom rung if rejected by the SPL.
Think we're in the final stages of this now and I feel The Rangers might just hold their hands up and say 'OK we're stuffed'. They've no player assets (soon) and no money. They'd be well advised to accept a transfer embargo, so they'll be pushed to get out of the Third at the first attempt.
I can see Green selling on to the Blue Knights, say. Green badly misjudged the situation and he'll do well to break even.
What a blast this has been!
Scottish football is the winner here. The Old Firm have ruiled the roost for far too long. Celtic will be lost without their big pals, and might even struggle to lift themselves for a title challenge.

BBC just said that a statement from the lawyers of Naismith and Whittaker announcing they will NOT transfer to the Newco.
Exactly. Could tell from Ally and CG's quotes yesterday that almost all their top players are away. They can't stop it.
What D&P should have done months ago, but didn't because the Mighty Rangers are in cahoots with God, has now come to pass.
And it looks like they'll have to change the rules to allow The Rangers into Div 1, as has been pointed out here. Because they won't get the eight votes and are duty bound to apply to the SFL for Div 3 membership. It might happen, i suppose, but it would be toe-curlingly cringeworthy and a real embarrassment to all the football authorities.
Anyway, show me the money. Is there any left? Are The Rangers not £5.5m in debt to Green now?

Just can't see this Div 1 for The Rangers being accepted. But why in God's name are the SFA/SPL/SFL changing the rules to suit Rangers? They cannot be allowed to get away with it. It's a national scandal.
Anyway that's just one half of the equation. There has to be a viable Rangers in there to survive as a First Division team. And they'll be a shambles of a club by the end of the week, as their players vanish and their money dries up.
BTW is Off The Ball worth listening to this week?

Some people need to start thinking about this seriously, some are becoming as deluded as the orcs. The deal is all but done. SEVCO or The Rangers WILL play in the First Division, rules WILL be changed, arms have been twisted, sweeteners and bribes have been delivered. Be under no illusions the guys at the top of the associations and the SPL chairmen care about only one thing MONEY. They couldn't give a toss about their clubs. Most are not even supporters and its a business, nothing else. So wake up people.
The fact that the SPL are even going to the extreme of showing Rangers First Division games on SKY who are paying for SPL games to appease Rangers and their fans is a complete betrayal of everything the SFA should be.
I knew this as soon as I read Motherwell scare paper to the Well Society, balanced it is not. Just full of scare stories. People have even pointed out that their arithmetic is wrong in parts of the paper. Motherwell board want a yes and a return to their cosy existences in the boardroom. They are morally bankrupt and it disgusts me that these are the people running my club. However I think that they are just more upfront than other chairmen in showing the fans why they want to vote yes to keep the status quo as a NO vote would mean actually working for their position on the board. They knew that a YES vote would have seen the collapse of the Well society and their easy jobs in the boardroom.
A deeply hurt and betrayed Motherwell fan
NO to SEVCO
The deal may be on the table, but will it get through? Chances are slim. Eight votes against, and it's out. That's what I call a fair voting system

Apologies. Rangers "would" walk the first division then.
The amount of fans they could bring in and the calibre of player they could bring in would give them a massive advantage.
Look at dunfermline's shit team 2 years ago. Are we seriously suggesting Rangers with their turnover and status couldn't lure better players than that?
"Sign for us and be challenging for trophies in two years time"
That's assuming they can sign any players at all. Maybe you/they (bit confused there) would prefer a suspension for a year.

Rangers will walk the first division. Anything else is total fantasy.
The Rangers will not be in the First Division. Anything else etc
Anybody started counting up the eight votes needed to keep them out of the First?

Just read McCoist quotes about players who want to leave.
Make no mistake, never mind what Green says, these players are free to go. McCoist is practically begging them to stay.
And they start pre-season training on Thursday. Should be a jolly affair

Found this quite amusing from a Dundee fan on Dundee Mad worried about losing out to Dunfy for an SPL place.
"I am not liking the way this seems to be heading and before we know it, we will be stuck in Div.1 with Rangers if we don't speak out"
How the mighty and all that...think The Rangers would be delighted to be stuck in Div 1

Just listened to Jackson on Talksport. Jeez, I've heard Rangers fans' spokesmen more restrained than him. He showed his true colours.
Makes you realise how these 'papers' have stitched it up for the OF for so long now. But their influence is gone. Now we know what's really going on.
Going on about 'malevolence' 'putting the boot into Rangers' and so on. Guy sounded at the end of his tether. Let's hope he is, and takes the rest of that shower of Glasgow media shit with him.
