It's more sci-fi than horror I would say.

Seen 'The Skeleton Key' yesterday and throughly enjoyed it. Good horror films have been thin on the ground of late, but this was extremely good, with a chilling ending. 8/10.

Back Again by Boy Kill Boy Song of the year so far, IMO.

Saw, er, Saw 2 recently. No as good as the first one, but not bad, a tad disturbing at times. The first death at the start was horrible. 7/10.

Yawwnnnnn They still ARE a good band. Thats up there in rock cliche circles along with the one about Oasis's debut album being their only good one, and the Stereophonics being shyte after Performance and Cocktails. Interesting choice of Manics song. A cover version, and a fairly tepid one at that. If anything, the song would fit better on one of their later albums than onf the time you reckon they were a 'good band'. But hey, arguing with the music police is pointless. Anyway, listening to thon Scottish band, Sons and Daughters right now. It's kinda písh.

Went to see King Kong on Friday night. Very good, nice homages to the original all the way through it, although Jack Black was an AWFUL choice to play the part of Carl Denham. The fight scene with Kong and the T.Rex(s) was superb. As ever though, no logic through the film, like... Why did the natives build a big wooden door in the middle of a wall built to keep Kong out?? If Kong can climb the entire way up the Empire State Building, why can't he climb over a 100 foot wall? When he knows he's getting shot by the planes at the end, why not just climb back down? How did they get Kong onto that small boat? How did they get Kong into the Theatre?? 9/10 anyway.
