did anyone here order direct from rockstar?

This will be unreal. Uni doesn't start until the last week in September so this will be the ultimate hangover cure. I did not like GTA IV...they took a lot of the fun out of GTA as it became "too realistic" in the sense that you had minimal customisation for your character, his stuff and his assets, alongside the entire map being a fairly bland urban jungle. The story line was good but there are some annoying fuckers like Roman who will not take no for an answer. The "HEY NIKO, YOU WANT TO PLAY DARTS WITH YOUR COUSIN" does my fucking head in and causes a shooting rampage. GTA V looks so much funner. A crazy amount of customisations for your character/car etc, 3 totally different characters, planes are back, countryside is back (I loved that in GTA SA going into redneckville) alongside military bases and other things that were in SA which i won't spoil! Cannot wait. F35 Fighter Jet flying all over reigning destruction on the world.

Just started uncovering more demos...fucking hell how many good songs have been left on B-Sides or as demos?! What.a.band. As for force of nature, I loved the album version but this one is even more awesome.

Most top jobs only want a 2:1 so Most first class students are textbook students who will be eaten alive in the real world Am I bitter about not getting a first? yes.

I only need to pass 4th year to get a 2:1 in Economics & Real Estate at Aberdeen....but my grades are way better than 90% of people who will end up with a 2:1 but agonisingly short of a first. Its an unfair system I think as a 17.5% difference in grades at Uni should not fall into the same boundary!! Raging but a 2:1 is still good and will get me an interview. Regret taking Economics, its so hard. Wish I had done management or something instead as a joint honours, I pissed all over a compulsory management course we had to do over 3rd year and I see the stuff they revise for other management courses: a joke!!

I genuinely think that Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology have very little value as employable degrees. They don't really help in the real job market in big businesses bar a handfull of HR jobs who all the management lot etc go for. They are good academic subjects and undoubtably not easy, but in terms of employability i reckon they are a bag of shite.

I heard a figure back in the school days along the line of there being I think 15,000 psychology graduations a year, with 200-400 jobs available for the jobs like criminal psychology, psychology-specific jobs...its an awful subject for employability but one that would be good for interest and general academia. If it was up to me, would definitely go for History as it is a more merited subject given the skills you learn in essay writing and researching so history in my opinions the far better call. For anyone looking for an employable degree: Law, Medicine, Midwifery, Accounting, Economics, Management, Real Estate, Engineering, Architecture and certain Languages are all a good call.

I am considering doing a Masters...can anyone recommend? It would be in Real Estate and I am looking at: National University of Singapore University of San Diego London School of Economics UCL A good or a bad shout? Bearing in mind a big motive is to spend a year or so in these places...should i do part-time so gives me more time, same price so can do a little exploring too?

I go to Aberdeen. Aberdeen is undoubtably the "better" university in terms of lecturer and student quality...so for academics its great. But for an institution for employment it is very debatable as one of RGUs strengths is basically seeing its students up on placement years at massive companies; many of which result in full-time job offers so arguable that you've got a better chance of getting a job at RGU!

Hitting the Stone Roses gig as well...that is going to be beyond epic as I also really rate Primal Scream and Jake Bugg... Beady are playing at T so kind of thought i should just wait for that...regretting decision already not pre-ordering.

My auld man (56 at the time) used an online dating site to get himself a new missus. I took the piss first, but he made a very fair point of "I am 56, where will I meet a new girl? Sure many things she did as a leader were wrong, with some right. I just don't understand how the hate can be so intense that her death is celebrated over probably Bin Ladens/Hussein?
