Best case scenario for me is Robinson at LCB and Montgomery at LWB.
Unlikely to happen, but it would be good.
Are Wigan in more financial trouble?
I thought that had all finished when their new, billionaire local guy had taken over.
I know they had a points deduction and restrictions on buying players, but doesn't that all finish after this season?
Yeah, yeah, I know. Wigan chat for this pish.
The new owner also owns the Rugby league side and seems more focused on letting them spend cash and forcing Wigan into living in their financial means.

Callum Booth saying he picked up another knock in pre-season and started to consider going part time and more local to his house.
Says Spartans ticked both boxes which is why he ended up there.
Sounds like hes already decided he wouldn't renew his contract with us even if offered.
Shame it’s ended up like this for him. I did question why we were so keen to offer an extension at the time and the decision looks even dafter now.

Well the big news is Gordon Muir isnae going. He's having a hissy fit because tickets are only available online. "This online shite is killing fitba" he reckons. He doesn't have a smartphone (despite the fact he's never off fucking Twitter). I'm sure he'll be missed. Minutes applause maybe?

Callum proved himself a very capable coach. As random says he took a very good squad assembled by Tommy Wright to the history books. I don’t think Tommy would’ve done the same.
For me, Callum’s issues began when he needed to assemble a side of his own, he left it too late for July 21 to do something worthwhile, leading to a panic of a window in January 22.
Yes he kept us up but we absolutely should not have been fighting the drop.
The following season Callum went for experience and threw in a few random young players. Football wasn’t pretty but at the break we were sitting closer to Europe than the drop.
Then it all went to shit. Callum came back with comments instantly stating we had to stay up, that’s all that mattered. It continued. Even when a change to a back 4 showed promise frustrated us when he immediately returned to his old ways, justifying it with a win against Motherwell. We wouldn’t win again for about 2 months. Those who still held out hope dwindled, until what seems like one lone voice (HiYa Steve Bright Hiya pal) continued to back him. Even his most ardent fans who pinned most of the blame on other people admitted the dressing room was gone, and it was best for all if we went out separate ways.
If he’s learnt his lessons, and he’s willing to compromise I think Queens Park have done well, if not, well Maccas kicking about somewhere.

Looks healthier than he did when he left us. Would dread to think the amount of steps he’s done on courses since May.

Don’t look at his Wikipedia whatever you do.

Liam Craig apparently going to be Davidsons assistant at Queens Park.
That’s very interesting. Wonder if Maclean and Davidson have had a disagreement somewhere. Maclean wasn’t exactly subtle with his comments when he got the job.

So, with Callum agreeing to the Queen’s Park move are we going to have more money to spend? I presume we’ve been paying his wages this whole time.

Well lads, all I’ll say is I hope you enjoy Allan Preston’s little books of players.

Can’t help but notice Danny Wilson and Sam Nicholson have been released from Colorado Rapids.

Perhaps Dundee could take some advice from our Groundskeeper on how to get a pitch playable.

Maybe we could play it at Tannadice?

I still cannot believe we effectively replaced Spoony with him.

Aye just going off here/Twitter, it felt like there was a writing off of Costelloe after this game.
Levein barely playing him has been a positive, especially when it wouldve been easy to play him RWB instead of Franczak, and hopefully this window he becomes either entirely redundant or returns to Burnley.
Still find it mad he gives interviews suggesting he thinks he could play for Burnley.
I said it after the Kilmarnock match he strikes me as a guy who’ll end up spending his career at shamrock claiming Scottish football was too hard hitting to let him play his game.

This is only a hunch, and I am not ITK in any way, but reading between the lines in interviews etc. I think this may be a far busier window than any of us anticipate.
Three in on January 1st, then maybe the same again in the rest of the month.
Ingoing and outgoing.
I think those who are definitely not getting a contract renewal might be encouraged to just leave now for free if they can find a club.
The first signing is a promising youngster, I’m hoping he’s as good as Robbo was. Beyond that I’ve no idea who else we can pull in.

I get the impression we're getting 3 in the first week alone, maybe even on the 1st.
Leaning down this route.

Absolute certainty to sign for Hibs in 6 months.
Arguably our best player this season? Yet i still didnt think he was what we needed at LWB as he couldnt beat a man 1v1. Preferred him at LCB tbh as it gave you someone getting forward from there. Hope that logic makes sense.
Left side of defence will almost definitely be one of the areas where one of the "3 deals almost done" will be, you'd hope.
Surely, I’d imagine the clubs expected this since the start of last month.

Frustrating that, I suspect it’s been known for a while. Would hopefully see someone come in to replace him as soon as possible.

I’m taking a guess at Melker Hallberg.

Imagine looking at the name ‘FC Edinburgh’ and thinking it’s not quite ridiculous enough so you better stick fucking Spartans on the end of it.
How was he planning to give (and pay for) contracts for 2 full squads worth of players? How were the going to keep 2 management teams on? Why on earth would a part time team with 2 managers and 30-40 first team players need a fucking director of football as well?
Few people on Twitter telling Doncaster he’s a fool for not allowing it. If anything, he’s probably saw right through this chancing git.
and that’s someone who hates Doncaster saying this.
