1. Could be worth a giggle popping along to their last home game just to hear Dougie's half time rant like we witnessed last season:D

A concerted tilt at the title made no difference to the apathetic folk of Greenock ... other than the big head to heads with the final victors. A telling sign.

Like a spoiled adolescent child that demands more money for toys, Morton will soon find Daddy's wallet is empty and earning your pocket money will be the only option left to them, putting all the newest and expensive toys well out of reach.

    ^^ obsessed^^

  2. Gaz, I keep hearing this from you and asked you on the Martin Hardie thread to give me specific figures to back up you claims. Could you please give me these figures?

I'm going on the assumption that you completely ignored it, but on the off chance that you conveniently just missed it, the question can be found here.

Toby he did use the word "possibly" which is roughly translated as "I don't have a fucking clue what I'm talking about and just made this shit up"

  3. Good news. Now is anybody going to explain the difference between interim admin and full admin? Are they basically the same or does the administrator need to wait till the 11th to get more powers?

The court may grant an interim order allowing the club to go in to administration which pending the outcome of HMRC's protestations through the courts to have the club liquidated can then be made absolute.

  4. I work in commercial banking, I'm well aware of what a security is.

I was trying to establish what security you think Masterton has against the company.

I've no idea but given his loans to Dunfermline and the way the whole thing's structured and the fact they're going for voluntary admin I'd be surprised if he he doesn't have some security to put him at the front of the queue. If you work in commercial banking your bonus could probably buy the pars. :D

  5. What security does he have?

Secured creditor status is given to creditors who have legals security over a company's assets in return for giving credit. Eg your mortgage is given by the bank on the basis that they have security over your house. Given the money Masterton has loaned the Pars I'd be surprised if he hasn't securitised the loans somehow. Craig Whyte was a secured creditor at Rangers and the voluntary administration suited him at the time.

  6. Aye, so much for the governing bodies safeguarding Scottish football. Not a feckin word from the SFL chief about this situation, it's not been kept quiet, the club have been leading the fans a merry dance with frequent begging bowl requests & it's been dragging on for months! What has Longmuir been doing? Imagining future games with his precious wee colt teams like a wee boy with his Subbuteo set. Wtf does he get paid for? As far as I can see he has completely neglected his duties, AGAIN, & doesn't even pretend to care. He is killing Scottish football with his incompetence, he hasn't a clue about any problems the member clubs (except for his own team Airdrie obviously) have been, or could be facing. It is totally unacceptable. If I was a Pars fan I'd be at Hampden the morn demanding to know what the hell he is playing at. Too many clubs have went through this in the last few years & he has turned a blind eye every time. It's long past time to get him out of that job, I cannot think of anything positive he has done for the sfl clubs, not one tiny thing & I'm sickened by it, I don't think we should just sit quietly & accept this anymore as we can't afford to let chancers kill any more clubs or there will be no Scottish football in the future. I'd drag him out that quick that I wouldn't let his feet touch the ground.

    Get him out!

Not quite sure what power Longmuir has to do anything until such times as Dunfermline go bust. Until they are declared by a court to be insolvent anything else would be interfering in the club's commercial activities. The time for action was years ago when they should've had financial fair play rules put in place with proper checks on who were running our clubs and how.

  7. I don't know where JL is getting his info from but as soon as a petition for administration is lodged in court, it halts any other proceedings including liquidation at least until the court has considered the petition. There is a fair amount of work in putting together a petition but who knows whether that has been ongoing.

I know JL has his heart in the right place but I wonder if he has the skills to be heading up this rescue?

Perhaps what he is saying is that the club is so fucked that an administrator couldn't trade his way out of the mess and the only option would be to wind up?

  8. An administrator is court appointed and will undertake the administration role so long as they can be sure they'll get their fee. As much as it's difficult not to, I wouldn't worry too much about passing deadlines. The only deadline that counts is one minute before the winding up order is passed and seen through. Artificial deadlines are set as a form of brinksmanship and even when one party walks way, often another comes to the table. This was the case at Morton. The only thing that concerns me about Dunfermline is the apparent lack of action by the fans and an over reliance or faith in the steering group to deliver. There must be enough professional skill and expertise within the support to organise a fighting group and put proper alternative business proposals forward and put together a contingency plan in the event of a worst case outcome. There are also plenty of previous examples from which the Pars fans can draw on experience and goodwill from other fans who've been through it.

  9. Indeed as I suspected and quite a moot point from what I can gather the only tangible asset of value in the whole equation. EEP I believe presents a significant value for development purposes either residentual or retail/commercial with no obvious objections visible and even in a depressed market could likely realise of the order 4M Sterling.

on the otherhand if DAFC can survive under newco or current guise and allowed to play SFL based on support and woith control over wages could pay a significant rent to service and repay mortgage so a cash cow for Masterton. It really depends on where the pressure points are in the overall Masterton empire are. Personally I hope something along the latter can be achieved.

    £4m.? Fantasy stuff that.
