  1. I know 20 people in my immediate social circle, most of them since school. Not one 'no' voter, all 'Yes' voting intentionand all former labour voters as well. I only know one person who says he'll vote No but he's just says shit to wind people up. YES is the best thing for us and the rest of the UK. A chance to give a shock to westminster and give rUK the opportunity to reform democracy down there. The people are being lied to by the NO lot. There are no explanations of what happens in the event of a YES or NO vote from the unionist parties. That would piss me off if I was undecided about the whole thing, that I have to rely on one side for information while the other side just insults my intelligence by presuming their scare stories would work in absence of any positive vision of what being in the UK means. Also the absence of any balance and information in the MSM is an insult. People want facts not assertion, opinion or rehased scare stories.

  2. I think some Conspiracies have merit.

The clever thing is to flood people with lots of absolute nonsense theories which causes people to lump all conspiracy theories in the same bracket.

In short I think most are utter bollocks but there will be some theories that could be true (or partially true) but most people dismiss them.

Black OPs disinformation IMHO. Whose side are you really on?

  3. I remember calling it a Galla Day once to a Bo'nesser. I thought she was going to give me my head in my hands to play with. Christ they take it seriousily.

Aye bad move, she probably wasn't picked for 'Fair Queen' becuase of her mustache. I'm from Bo'ness and proud of not attending the fair for years as the it's just an excuse for the neds (local and otherwise) to get all fucked up. As a child it didn't seem that bad but as a teenager it was shit and even worse as an adult. It was probably better when the pit and docks used to employ everyone.

  4. Certainly "our" fate will be determined considerably sooner, as we are on course to smash into the Andromeda galaxy in anywhere between 3 and 5 billion years. To suggest this would be of a minor disruption would be to suggest that Neil Lennon may be a minor bit ginger. Essentially we have a few million years to figure out how the f**k to get off this planet, out of this solar system (technically these two have already happened), out of our galaxy, out of our local cluster and finally... to somewhere safe.

Anyone fancy the odds of that happening before we either (a) manage to blow ourselves up, or (b) get taken out by something big and nasty lurking in the outer reaches of space?

Please keep this quiet- Lamont may use this as the latest 'Better Together' scare story

  5. It's not for now, but I can see them eventually moving to a local licensing system in England (as in the US). However I can't ever see it being legal in Scotland - especially not if independence happens.

    Don't get me wrong, I'm pro-legalisation btw.

Do you think you've a better chance og getting it decriminalised via westminster than Edinburgh? Why? Don't give us rubbish about calvinism. Just facts not assertions please.

Incase folk like more information about the current state of play regarding the legalisation campaign try this http://www.clear-uk.org

  6. I was asking if there was a specific reason for it. Not a statement of the blindingly obvious.

    But thanks anyway.

The paper, tobacco and pharma industies along with the brewers pushed for its criminalisation in the 20's I think. In the UK the same process happend a few years later. Can't remember much its all a bit hazy ;) But essentially because it was a threat to profits of big industry.
