Would argue he was close to being man of the match 2 weeks ago - but hey when do we let facts get in the way of a witch hunt ?

Tbf thats more your opinion than a fact.  Hes been a solid enough player for us over the last couple seasons but its an area we need drastic improvement regardless what league we are in.

Everything suggests it was an A5 red for conduct/language, which is just one match immediate, so he should be back…but the SFA is two and a half months behind with suspension reports, so 🤷🏻‍♂️

Aye just seen Murrays interview from weekend.  Looks like hes back which is a big plus for us if thats the case.

  3. Hopefully Murray and Dabrowski are back for this one not sure on Millen but assume it was at least a 2 match ban.  I'd go back to the 4231.

He's not been starting on a Saturday. Recently we've been lining up with a centre forward and two wide players supporting and the centre is usually Austin or Shepherd. When Mitchell does come on he's playing wide. I'd love to see him playing through the middle next to Austin or Shepherd.

Hes raw but all the talent is there.  His pace should be a huge asset for you guys.

McGlynn and the BOD were very clear it was a two year plan to get us up, albeit last season was the ultimate aim, only for our neighbours and Airdrie to comfortably get both gigs.

We don’t need to go over old ground,  but it’s  promotion this year or we see a huge step change within our club.
We would certainly be making substantial cuts and not sure if McGlynn would survive., or we would want to change.

McGlynn was the same with us.  First season was average then when he had a couple windows to get the players he wanted he got the job done.  Looks like it could be your year this season with only Hamilton really looking like challenging.

  6. I think we need a bit of a change in attack from the team that started against Inverness.  Hopefully Stanton is ok for this one but if not we know Vaughan or Easton can play that role.   Assuming Stanton is out or only fit enough for bench i'd go with this.  Only change would be Stanton starting if fit enough.

I like him a lot. You can tell he's inexperienced at times, but he looks like a player with quite a high ceiling. And he's been instrumental in our switch to a 3-5-2, he looks like someone who is quite naturally gifted and comfortable with the ball at his feet.

In terms of negatives, he's maybe a bit better going forward than he is defending - which could be exploited at a higher level. And he can get caught out trying to play a risky pass or dribbling in the wrong area at times. But I don't mind that; he's trying to do something positive and that's something you really need from a wing-back. Even if it might cost you a goal occasionally.

Positives wise though there have been plenty. He usually looks keen to take players on (as shown in the highlights of our 4-2 win at Ochilview the other week, where he absolutely rinsed Ross Meechan before putting in the cross that our second goal came from).

I like the way he drives with the ball, I think he's deceptively skilful and is capable of delivering a gorgeous whipped cross. He's maybe just not quite nailed the art of delivering it consistently, but if he could do that then he'd not be kicking about League Two.

If he can keep building on his showings so far (and given he's 20 and had started just nine senior league games before this season I suspect he will) then I don't think it'll be too long before he's back in full-time football. It might be a season with us, then a jump to someone like Alloa and then a jump back up to full-time, but he's very much got time on his side in that regard.

Lovely kid too. I spoke to him on the day he signed and took to him right away. If I was old enough to have a daughter in her early 20s then I think he'd make a really pleasant son-in-law.

I was hoping we would of kept him and loaned him out as I think hes got a high ceiling as well.  We have recently just signed a promising young left back so maybe that was the thought process in letting Young go.  Wouldn't be surprised to see him playing against us in a couple years though glad he got a chance in the professional game.

Having watched the clip of the first penalty incident, that is as blatant a dive as you'll ever see.  The defender is standing near Vaughan but you can see that he doesn't put in a challenge and his feet don't leave the ground, and there is no contact between the defender and Vaughan.  Vaughan is a cheat, plain and simple.  How the referee awarded a penalty for that is beyond me.  Must have thought he was refereeing next week's cup game at Ibrox.

Disappointing to lose after pulling back a 2 goal deficit, especially as I understand it came from an error in defence with no real danger, but we're going to lose some games this season and Raith away is not one of our easier games.  At least we're scoring goals at the moment.  Let's hope we can run riot next Saturday, though I won't be putting any money on it.

If Vaughan is cheat so is Quitongo surely for his blatant dive last season?  Or does this only work one way?
