I'd be delighted to be proved wrong but Talbot's league challenge is probably done now.

I'm not laying blame or even saying this fixture issue diminishes the achievement of whatever team goes on to win the division, but it can hardly be described as a level playing field when one club has to play through this sort of condensed backlog. Again, that isn't a criticism of any individual or club just an honest appraisal of how this division currently looks.

Yes. I thought we weren't quite good enough and would be about 3 or 4 points short of winning the legaue. I think we will be about 10 points short now

The amount of games players ( who have jobs no doubt ) had to play over a short period of time was mental the players are human added to Tranent were and are a very good team

Its that why some of your guys decided on a wee holiday instaed of playing in that game

I said last night if I was gall I’d be cutting the budget dramatically but I’ve no idea if that’s the plan or not , guy is not a fraud he’s a winner and second is no use to him , I don’t know but I’d imagine this will be his first season in management without silverware , it won’t happen again and u can come back to me if im Wrong on that one

You keep calling him a winner doesn't make him one.

If the budget gets cut he will either leave or you will drop down the league as he is a poor manager and a poor judge of player

But the problem being is the signings come from  league 1 and league 2 and sometimes certain players cant  cope with junior football , and by that I mean no time on the ball getting closed down rapidly and Troon did that brilliantly yesterday , iM no saying they are bad players but for me they won’t do at this level and would be amazed if they were there next season , in fact I will be amazed if 10 of that squad will be at darvel next season on what I’ve seen recently but trust me on this mick will rebuild as second is no use to him , he’s a winner and im pretty sure he will say this season has been a disaster , no silverware for the money spent is shocking

How will he rebuild- By chucking more money at it. That's not management. The guys a fraud

I'll not be staying up for it personally, but the Great Britain team start their World Baseball Classic group stage at 2 in the morning against the USA. Could be a massacre given the relative strengths of the rosters, but we'll see how it goes. I hope it's a good experience for the players at the very least.

Currently watching the Mariners against the Rockies in a Spring Training game. 2-2 in the fifth, a pretty good watch all things considered.

Much closer game than I expected it to be. GB actually took the lead. USA came back to lead 2-1 but then a walk and an error lead to a 3 run homer which GB couldn't come back from.

GB are a young team with most of them in the minors so should have a good future

As I understand it if you are a freelance TV presenter you will of course not be an employee.  Straight away no NI contributions to be made.  Also, if you have set yourself up as a company you would pay the current 19% corporation tax (soon to be 25%) rather than the 45% higher rate tax that top earners pay.  You can also pay yourself, and other directors, a tax free dividend each year for up to £2,000 per year (previously £5,000 and soon to be £1,000)

Lorraine Kelly had a reasonably recent dispute with HMRC regarding whether she was an employee or not.  HMRC claimed Kelly was effectively an employee and as a result was due HMRC over £1M.  The resultant ruling decided the person you see on TV is not Lorraine Kelly but rather a persona of Lorraine Kelly.

Lineker is currently in dispute with HMRC. They are chasing him for £4.9 million

If people like him and  Lorraine Kelly paid their dues nurses etc could get decent pay rises so hold off on the sainthood for now.

I am on his side on this case though

It'll be a bizarre looking programme.

Is it not now time for match commentators to make a similar stand?

When they first started the Sunday morning repeats it was just the games with the punditry cut out. I used to record it as I much preferred it

Notice that Fiona Bruce is getting it tight on social media for downplaying Stanley Johnson's domestic abuse "it was a one off" apparently.

Strangely no calls from the Daily Heil for her to be sacked from the BBC.

Apart from being an abhorrent comment, it is not even factually correct. Johnson's wife is on record saying that his domestic abuse was a regular occurrence.

He broke her nose and put her in hospital. Even if it was a one off he is still a fucking scumbag

There is a due process in all Disciplinary matters, and that includes specified timescales for the club to respond to the alleged offence. The match only took place 5 days ago, so I would imagine that process is in progress at the moment.

Correct. Talbot have been notified and have 7 days to respond.

Shanner is right though, every Talbot fan (with the exception of one) knows we will be kicked out and nobody is particularly bothered
