  1. It's a huge debate that i'm not really willing to get into but very generally speaking, i have doubts over an independent Scotlands currency, have doubts over EU membership and how that would influence Scotland as an independent nation, i also have doubts over what would happen with the military and nuclear facilities. As i've said the onus is on the "yes" campaign to change my mind which i'm willing to do if convinced by Salmond that all these basis's are covered. As it stands now i don't think they are covered sufficiently and question a lot of the "yes" voters motives for the vote.

Re EU, if you think we'll get kicked out and that's bad what will happen if we vote NO. UK is going to have a referendum on it - how do you think that will go?

Currency - think about it from an English perspective. Your second largest trading partner wants to continue using the currency they and you do. Do you A) keep things simple and do that, or B) screw over your own businesses by making trading far far more difficult, time consuming and costly for them (knowing that businesses will bitch like f**k that you're deliberatley making life difficult for them). Obviously, Cameron, Osborne, Darling and the other Tories aren't going to say that just now but logic dictates they will do the sensible thing at the time.

You've also probaly read the latest in the financial press showing traders think the sterling zone idea is a good one http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-12-02/pound-bid-of-scots-nationalists-supported-by-traders-currencies.html so I would hope that would ease some of your fears there.

Nuclear facilities - seriously?? I'd like them not to be kept a metaphorical stones throw from our largest city for one thing.

Who is going to attack us? Hopefully nobody, but the only threat is a terrorist one. They will not be using nuclear misssles. We should get rid of them and use the money to increase spending on our intelligence services (as suggested in the White Paper).

  2. Don't give Traynor your money. Don't bother buying the record - somebody will post the story up here anyway (from their website).

For all actual news there are a million websites to choose from, none of which give money to that lowlife.

I'm sure we all do this anyway but I would actually like that p***k to lose his job; he survives by creating mistrust and propogating half truths or full on lies.

BTW - just listened to the Sportsound podcast, Cosgrove for President. Not so easy when you can't just cut them off, Traynor.

  3. The first few paragraphs were ok but avoiding the issues that befell the SPL and the reality of it built on the whole greed is good culture.

The rest is more sniping at the diddy teams and people who see the game beyond the bigot brothers and is as much about protecting his employment status

and the red top readership figures as any campaign to save Scottish football.

His vitriol towards Turnbull Hutton is another example of playing up to the Glasgow readership, life outside the West coast of Scotland does not exist absolute bollocks !!!

The SPL and Murray's regime killed off clubs bringing through their own players for the quick fix,

Traynor is a p***k. that article basically supports those morons who'd physically attack Hutton and the rest of the RR board. Traynor = lowlife.

  4. Just thinking, on one hand 'Rangers' should really be suspended from all football for the amount of amoral activities they have undertaken - my specific bugbear is tax avoidance at such a massive level (cheats every single one of us, cheats our nurses, doctors, soldiers etc. who get paid and suplied via our taxes). I think a 1 - 2 year ban then allowing them to reapply is fair.

That said, if at the begining of all of this if you'd have told me they wouldn't play in the SPL, there was a good chance they'd be in Div3, that Naismith, McGregor, Davis, et al would all leave for nothing and that their business case doesn't appear to stack up, I'd have a gentle - and just - smile.

Thought three of course is that I might now want them to stay in the SPL as that'd mean we wouldn't be the shoo-ins for relegation we appear to be this year. (joking - let them die).

  5. The SPL clubs have kicked them out because of money - they fear long-term they'll lose their fans die if they let them back in - and the SFL will use money to make their decision too. The SFL could help out the SPL (if the Sky one season away thing is true) by dropping them into the First but why should they? If they go down to the Third 80-90 per cent of SFL clubs will get at least two visits from Rangers and there will be the wet dream of a three-year television deal which can be spread around everyone - and at the budget several of these clubs work on you only need a small amount to make a massive difference. If the SFL wants to let them into the First, of course some jiggery pokery can be done but it will take an almighty bribe from the SPL to get it. A share of the current television deal and another promotion spot would seem the absolute minimum they should be looking to get and given the soon to be state of the SPL clubs, I'm not convinced they'll be willing to stump up. In that case the SFL as a whole stands to gain a lot more with Rangers going into the Third Division than falling over themselves to help the very SPL which was set up to shaft them in the first place.

Totally agree with this. Put them in SFL1 then a small % of clubs will play them twice. Put them in SFL3 nearly all the clubs will play twice, and they'll get some sort of TV deal for the whole time they're there. It would seem commercially stupid to put them in SFL1 from the perspective of SFL clubs.

  6. I look forward to his comments on 'Sir Walter' and his team of saviours. Leggo seems like a man on the edge of a nervous breakdown. Why does he insist on giving us middle names, addresses and continuous repitition of these ?

Why, that would make it really easy for the nutjob element to track people down and explain the error of their ways to them in accepted Rangers style.

  7. Way behind on the thread now. Was that Colin Jackson on STV who had white hair when he played? I remember thinking he looked about a hundred back then.

Anyway, feeling a bit down this morning. McColl will give Smith £12 - 15m to give to Green.

Everybody wets themselves over Sir Wattie, Rangers go straight back into SPL. No discernible punishments. Next team that goes anywhere near admin gets a huge punishment. I give up on football.

  8. Did you choose to support your team? Make an informed decision? Weigh up the pro and cons?

As a 6 year old, no, of course you don't.

As an adult in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, etc.. you can make a choice of whether you want to continue giving your support and money to an instituion that uses sectarianism as (at best) a tacit part of their appeal. You are an adult, you can change your mind.

I'm guessing most of us with kids have friends who don't take their kids to Rangers or Celtic although they used to go themselves as they are basically decent folk who don't want to expose their children to that.

I've a good mate in Glasgow who was a Celtic season ticket holder. He brought up this point a few months back saying if his kids are interested in football then the family are off to see Partick. In my mind, those are the choices respectable adults make for themselves and their children, and conversely those who understand what Celtic and Rangers are both doing to keep sectarianism alive in the country but still choose to support them have should beashamed of that.

  9. Posters stop lying.

I was in Vietnam last week and all I saw was wall to wall coverage of the problems of the biggest club in the world.

On Uzbek state TV, Uzbek Big Boy Bears High Heid Yin Gennady Chickflik said the country would enter eight days of mourning should "the institution of most loveliness to Uzbek sports fans go under".

President Big Chap of Belize is this morning calling an emergency session of parliament asking for the country's name to be changed to Believe (in Rangers).

Tonight all the managers of teams competing in the Euros are releasing a joint statement of support for Rangers.

Watery fella Neptune of Atlantis has made his state re-emerge today for the sole reason of showing support for his beloved Buns.

Austria has detained all Rapid Vienna fans asking for their money back, otherwise the UN will send troops into their ungrateful little nation.

Posters - stop lying. The biggest club in the world, with the biggest and best support are top billing globally.

  10. RFC arent gonna buy airdrie or any other club when they cant afford to pay for the facepainting ffs. Green is only offering a loan and we dont know what the conditions or indeed interest on it would be. If they end up as newco...green isnt gonna carry the several millions of pounds pa required to operate mp and ibrox so he will charge that to newco...and crowds in sfl3 wont sustain that for very long...meanwhile green would have pocketed money from outgoing players and maybe left a few quid for newco to hire players of sfl3 standard. there will be no credit for a gretna style romp up theleagues paying money they didnt have for spl players. if cva is rejected then a newco outside of spl leads inevitbaly to death of rfc. i doubt they could live sustainably in spl once fans realise they can afford to buy any more silverware.

Herald piece quoted earlier http://www.heraldsco...angers.17819881 say loan has 8% interest (not cheap).

Quote: "King's statement was a strongly worded criticism of the club's administrators and Green, whose £8.5m bid is in the form of a loan, at 8% interest."

  11. I'm I the only one with a bad feeling.

H&D will get punished, but that will take time. During that time Green completes his takeover as a newco.

Football authorities say Green could only buy from who was selling, so he's in the clear, Rangers Newco are in the SPL for the 'financial good of the game'. H&D get severely punished but from our perspective, so what. Rangers are still alive.

Tell me it won't happen. Please.

  12. Jesus H. Christ........I wandered over to RM for a couple of minutes just to see what the Soon-To-Be-Dead Peepul were saying and I think my retinas have been burned out. Never seen so much bile and hatred on a footie forum before.

    They are not happy.

    Och well, fukkum.

You ain't wrong. Just been on for 10 mins. One guy saying if this was in Belfast they'd be rioting and setting cars alight by now. Another saying it was time to get the ta^^^^s out of Hampden. Another saying Daly wasn't releasing stuff til midnight as he'd be in midnight mass.

Another - somewhat ironic nobber - wailing about the waste of licence payers money this BBC investigation was. Pishing away the readies of the good folk of the country is indeed a shitty thing to do so look in the mirror you fanny.

What the f**k kind of lives do these people lead - i couldn't care less what religious background my mates came from, and for most of my acquaintences I don't know their religious persuasion. Poisonous, vile cretins - seriously, our society would take a massive forward step if the outlet for these p***ks was killed off. I'm guessing 99.99% of Scottish people do not look at the troubles in Northern Ireland and think 'I wish we could have that over here'.

  13. It is people like you that make my blood boil...Reveling in other teams misery because you choose to support some shitty team that contributes very little in the grand scheme of things but feel so superior to Rangers suporters...f**k off!!

Why should i and 50,000 other Rangers fans along with the estimated 1 million armchairfans allow your club to live off our money whilst we are unfairly penalised?

You and the other diddies have lived of Rangers for too long and now your chairman are worried things are going titis up..Yep they most certainly are. I have always defended the Scottish game as a whole but after reading the utter drivel that is posted on here on a daily basis i have had enough. It is long over due that Rangers looked after No.1 and starting from next season that is exactly what we will be doing...First thing i do when i get my Season Ticket renewal form in is cancel my CCCS..No away games from me or anybody i know.

OK it wont kill you off but it will lead to a massive reduction in your income and will mean the loss of players and staff at every SPL except for maybe celtic.

I hear diddiies like you are going to boycott Ibrox    That boycot has been going on since 1986 and has made very little difference.

54 TITLES AND STILL GOING STRONG

I'm never too sure how to take your posts, mate. Mostly, you're very reasoned but then you chuck in an odd one.

I'm not revelling in the misery of every Rangers fan (good mates and family who are very decent folk and season tickets holders) but I do want your club to die. What I am revelling in the potential demise of an institution that is the outlet of a large propotion of sectarianism in the country - there are horrible, vile elements in your support that I don't see in most of the other teams (bar Celtic). Also, as an organisation Rangers (and again Celtic) tacitly use sectarianism to generate fans and support (they could ban all sectarian overtures from their stadiums, they choose not too). That, I think, is reason enough to despise your club never mind the fact you were buying players you didn't have the money for and in the case of Lee Wallace playing him in the same competition as the people you said you'd pay.

On the subject of being unfairly penalised, this has been done to death but one issue that really gets to me is that we are talking about not paying taxes on a huge level (millions rising to tens of millions). What do we pay taxes for? Old Age Pensions, Education, Medicinces for the sick, weaponry and armour for soldiers, making our road safer, etc. By the actions of Rangers fans and the type of statement you've posted it seems you consider your club more important than those areas that tax gets spent on. I know you posted stuff that kinda says the opposite before so I'm not having a go at you in any great way but the whole Rangers anger at the punishments seems crazy from a moral perspective (never mind a footballing one). The organisation you support decided not to support the central pot of our government (not very loyal) on a massive scale and that's OK? Of course not.
