  1. 2 things..

1, check extensions on browser, if 'delta bar' is there, disable it.

2, if going down malaware removal route, disable System restore before scan. Wee feckers like to hide in the start up so reinfect every boot.

Thats not always the best thing to do, its better to have an infected PC to restore back too if things go tits up rather than have a PC that wont boot at all...best to disable system restore after the infection / malware has been cleared

  2. A search engine called YHS delta has taken over as my homepage. I've tried googling about it but there doesn't seem to be much info on it, apart from it's a virus that should be removed. I've tried a system restore aswell as uninstalling a couple of programmes I installed today (no doubt it's come from one of them) but it's still there. Any ideas?

Due to different system configurations, removing spyware & malware can sometimes cause as much grief as the malware itself...I would recomend posting here for any spyware removal probs...I've used their help myself after the wee boy fecked up my PC 8)

  3. I'm having a bit of trouble at the moment connecting my Nintendo DSLite to my new Virgin Media Super Hub. I know that this model of the DS only supports WEP level of encryption, as with my previous router I had to go on to the settings and change the security from WPA to WEP whenever I wanted to connect online with the DS. However, the problem I have now is that the new hub I have doesn't actually include WEP in its drop down menu of security encryption. Is there any way around this? I have a 3DS in the house at the moment too, but the game I'm trying to gain access with is still a traditional DS game (Pokemon Black 2). This means I have to use the settings included in that device to access Nintendo DS settings, but again I run into the same problem.

I couldn't find anything on the Nintendo Support pages, so hopefully somebody on here will have a solution, or be able to confirm that it's not achievable. While I remember, I should also include that it is in the list, it's just completely impossible to click on it to make the change, it's lightly shaded compared to the usable options.

You could use your hub in modem mode and plug in your your old router :)clicky

  4. I've had my new Samsung Galaxy S3 for a couple of months now, and somehow (I honestly have no idea, I just picked it up) the screen is cracked. It still works fine, but it's a pretty big fecking crack.

What's the script with getting this sorted out? A quick Google suggests it might be bloody expensive, but surely it's just a case of replacing the "glass"?

looks like more than the glass needs replacing, screen and digitizer

    here's a how 2 clicky

    claim it under house insurance???

  5. A bit late I know - but please don't. It's very difficult to remove, and won't stop viruses. Get AVG Free instead, or similar.

Pedantic I know - but viruses are a type of malware. Other types of malware include trojans, rootkits, worms etc. Whether software brands itself as "anti-virus" or "malware protection", if it's worth it's salt, it'll comfortably deal with all types of malware :)

Personaly I think Antivir by Avira is the best free anti-virus ;)

  6. Can anyone recommend an ad blocker for Firefox? I had been successfully using Adblock Plus for years until this week when it started causing issues with my Facebook (chat, sidebar and photos not showing correctly/at all). Since removing it I see Facebook have added extra ads in addition to those down the right hand side, so I assume this is to blame.

you can still use adblock but have it disabled on Facebook...click the red adblock icon when your on any facebook page and choose ''disable on facebook''

I honestly dont think there is a better ad blocking app/program

  7. Cheers guys, had a wee look and found one but it was to a website that wanted debit card details despite being "free" so gave that a body swerve.

Other search found one or two others on a forum with the same problem and buying a new driver resolved it, which is what I think I'll do.

Ive never had to buy a driver, keep looking u should find a free one for it, watch out for scammers

  8. My CD drive isn't reading any disks that I put in. I've tried an external drive plugged into one of the USB ports but same problem.

    A closer inspection sees this;

I can't update the driver so I'm assuming I'll just have to buy a new one. I don't need a DVD drive, just a CD will do so that it can read my disks. Any decent ones around or what sort of price should I be looking at?

    clicky & clicky

    some links to try

  10. Statement by Charles Green:

    .

"We are fully aware that one of the sanctions available to the Appellate Tribunal should the matter be referred back there is the suspension or termination of Rangers Football Club membership of the SFA.

"That in our view would be a disaster for Scottish football and a major setback to our plans to take Rangers forward after a particularly difficult period in its history.

    you dont f'cking say
