  1. That rangers statement should/will go down in P&B history as the definition of 'verge of tears'. That and 'Bears Fightback' on Twitter are as glorious as they are tragic.

They win and expect the 'diddy teams' to accept it but when someone else wins its toys out the pram.

Well done Hibs, genuinely cheered on the train when I saw they got the winner. Enjoy it! It only comes around every 114 years...

  2. I've been to Bicester too. Can remember why I went but there was a nice pub.

Do any other P&Bers have any anecdotes involving going to Bicester for some reason?

I went to Bicester Village once.

The shops were all posh and had queues outside them to make them look popular. What has to go wrong in your life that would lead to being a bouncer at a cath kidston shop

  3. The more I look at Rod's 1st picture the more I become convinced it is a photo of the south terracing rather than where the Davie Cooper stand is now.

The 2nd photo above would appear to confirm that as you can see the south end of the east terracing in both photos.

I do agree with Rob in one thing though, this is a terrific thread.

I am very much mistaken! Well spotted sir.

    Anorak :P

  4. Rod, do you know when the last pic was from? Is the No. 4 Tam Forsyth?

Nope sorry, it was a google images effort.

Brilliant picture. I can just about remember that part before they tore it down for the offices that are no there. It should have been preserved! I can also remember buying tickets from a window next to the main entrance in the Main Stand. Don't know why it wasn't pay at the gate? There were old shirts and pendants in there too. Anyone?

  5. Is this the stand that was sinking in one corner? As you look at the stand, it does appear to slope off to the right. I suppose that it was propped up in some way to prevent it sinking further?

I'm not aware that it was sinking, the pitch has a slope which slopes down to the dugouts. It's also visible on the away stand (look at the wall at the bottom getting taller). Wasn't a stand at Airdrie United's ground sinking?
