9 out of the the next 21 weeks are school holidays - 2 at Easter and 7 Summer. What is going to happen during that time?

If the government thinks it's a major issue then I presume they are making plans to assist these families over the holiday periods where exactly the issue you raise will be occurring. I think it's been raised elsewhere, but surely the last point at which you want snotty kids sent home from school to have to stay with their grandparents is just as the s**t hits the fan pan, which appears to be what is going to happen.

Going to how much toilet roll is being bought.

They keep the counters / bakery open

It gives them a bit of a social life, not nice to take it from them.

Could you imagine some big hefter getting a knock back from the bus at Braehead and told to walk home after a day trip to Krispy Kreme 🤦‍♂️

She would be fine, she  wouldn't have to walk anywhere. The virus folk get taken the the virus place.

Can you imagine the pandemonium if they announced they would test everyone who wanted it, symptoms or not?
Take the toilet roll fiasco and multiple it by 1000.

There is a piece of an interview somewhere that explains how they do it in China with temperatures taken before people enter restaurants, bars etc. Folk with high temps don't get in. They do it with public transport as well as public buildings and so on.  That could work here.

Logistically it would be impossible as despite all the Londoncentric news, many in this country still rely on cash.

Apart from this there's table surfaces on trains, door handles, seats and backs of seats on buses / trains, buttons on lifts, button on train doors etc. There's schools, workplaces, supermarkets where people are constantly touching surfaces and products.

We're just not set up to deal with anything like this in this country and I've certainly not seen anyone walking about spraying disinfectant like in other countries.

Ultimately it would be impossible and also pretty pointless unless we went to lockdown mode which they just don't appear to want to do.

Blue disposable gloves. Folk have started wearing them
