  1. Free hit vs the Accies this weekend. Unsure if that's good for either team. We've done well through there this season so shackles should be off & we can go for it. They're a good side of course so will be favourites.

Might see a few fringe players getting game time = Biabi, Cunningham, Owens (Billy).

Fergus Owens signs a 2 year new contract excellent news he has been excellent since he returned in January and should have never been out on loan in the first place will be a key player regardless of what league we are in next season.

Clearly had ability to play at this level when with us & potential to get even better. Glad he's came back in good shape for you. McGlynn has done fairly well too thus far.

i thought Paterson was excellent the week before as well. really impressed me.

Another we'd love to keep but he's a full time player as clear as day.

We've proven a great development environment for loan players so likely we'll see quite a few next season too.

It’s all been said in the comments above. When he first came in, he looked a right handful and my instant reaction was that we must do our best to keep him longer, I even posted in here that we should be looking to build next seasons team, in an attacking sense, around him and Carrick. He looked like the kind of player that’s a class above what you would normally expect of someone who is Part Time these days and I thought once he got up to speed, he probably wouldn’t look out of place in the Falkirk squad.

At the time, a Queens Park fan posted on here that he is good at cutting in and shooting but once Defenders suss that out, he becomes ineffective…..and I would say this is what has happened during his time with us. He’s targeted for fouls and is often doubled up on.

If he was to stay, I do think he’d be a positive addition to the squad, but he over plays ALOT. Some times he gets away with it, other times he loses the ball. I would prefer it if he would move the ball quicker personally.  There was an example of that yesterday when he held onto the ball for too long, Dale Carrick stopped his run and when the ball was finally played it was subsequently too far for him to knock it in.

The positive side to his game is that, he looks to be, something of a game changer. He has the skill and ability to play higher up and his mazy runs and ball in the box can be top drawer. In a team that dominates the game, you’d fancy him to be one of their top players, for a team fighting, he becomes frustrating, especially when he can’t get the shots away.

Looks like he's been in training with St Johnstone so clearly after a full time deal. Sounds like he's got ability but not quite where he needs to be. Just a rumour from our side atm anyway.

Peterhead have a very good attacking front line with Rory McAllister, Shanks, O'Keefe, and Hamish Ritchie, all guys who could play at League 1 level IMO. Dumbarton have guys like Finlay Gray and Mikey Ruth (I suspect this might make QoS fans feel better) who will no doubt go on to a decent level next year, Durnan returning to our defence has made a world of difference too. Spartans are a good side, they maybe don't have names that jump out at you other than James Craigan and Marc McNulty but guys like Rhys Armstrong and Cammy Russell are having good seasons and are tidy players I could see playing further up the pyramid. I really don't think there will be much between any of the teams.

Peterhead not have Pawlett now also? I'd fancy them to do some damage potentially.

  6. Signed & sealed for next season. A shake couple of months at the start of this year, after a horrendous injury crisis, saw a nervous run to this point but we've picked up well since then.

Moore & Gourlay signed on long term. Would like to see Tam, CJ, Corbett & Lyon follow suit. Tids will sign on again as player manager I'd imagine. Still looks fit & has played a lot.

Most of the loanees have been class. Would imagine O'Donnell & Bavidge will be in & around parent teams 1st teams next season.

Pretty nothing first half other than Mark Weir doing his best Blair Currie impression for the goal.

Nice little ground.. shame about the weather

Stinking weather. Felt we deserved the three points but not too much in it.

Same - from the outside, he's quite literally a caricature of the most unlikable guy you can possibly think of. A man in his mid-40's that dresses like a 13 year old, is terminally online, and seems to have no discernible talent other than having the financial means to surround himself with people who have the required skills. He's not a 'bad guy' or that, just incredibly irritating. He looks like he lives off Elf Bars and Prime. He's basically a Scottish Lower League version of Wayne Lineker. Like someone read a book called 'What will rub most people up the wrong way' and built him in a lab.

I also have to caveat this with the fact that I've met him several times and played against his Colville Park team and he's been brand new. Genuinely sound as f**k. He obviously knows the way he presents himself gets a reaction and annoys folk and he leans into it.

I cannot imagine why he'd want to take a job in the leagues. I said this when he was being touted (clearly by himself) for the Clyde job. He'd get found out rapid. EK's method this season has been extraordinary. I read somewhere that they've used almost 40 players. That can almost be excused if injuries have meant that he's had to dig in to the youth academy, but with every injury it seems like they've just went out and bought someone else. You just can't do that at a team like Clyde, or any team in the SPFL for that matter. EK's season has basically played out like a joke, like some kind of hyper-Darvel.

With all that in mind, I'd absolutely love to see EK go up this season (although PLEASE not at the expense of Clyde ffs). It'd be like some kind of social experiment. I'm absolutely dying to see what MK does when he simply doesn't have unlimited resources.

    Great post!

Would think the resources will hit the glass ceiling in League 1 most likely from what I've seen so time for him yet if all goes to plan.
